Stepping out of the ladies room in a nearby convenient store, the Asian girl checked her watch digital watch and made sure it was reset to the three hour timer. Seeing it was she took a deep breath before walking back through the shop, collecting a bag of chips and a can of soda.

The man at the counter, seeing her walking around, perked up and said "Oh, there are you." She stopped and looked before he said "Sorry. It's just I thought you left."

She gave a little smile and said "Oh no. Just in the bathroom is all."

He gave her an odd look before checking the clock in the store and asking "For fifteen minutes?"

She shrugged and said "Well....you know how it is sometimes."

The teller still had an odd look as he watched her pick out her things and finally come up to pay. He rung her up just for the chips and soda but didn't see her sneaky hands taking a few bars of candy in the process and slipping them into the pockets of her jacket. Waste not want not and all that. He gave her a kind smile and bid her goodbye, she waving while doing the same, before exiting the store.

"Sucker." She commented before walking onward.

The first thing she did was pop open the fizzy cola and sipping a little down. She gave an enjoyed hum after tasting the grape flavor. Much better then half the food her people ate all the time. Then came the candy which was even more delightful. She commented to herself how humans managed such great good yet were still so behind with technology. With that she could guess were more priority in advancements went.

Walking on she passed by a man playing the guitar. As she walked she turned around to walk backwards while listening. She bobbed her head to the tune and smile, thinking it was nice. She remembered when it first came out, Stairway to Heaven, and how nice of a song it was even then. Still she wished she would've stopped the worse musicians and singers to come out of humanity.

Just as she'd finished the candy, dumping the wrappers and taking another swig of cola, she opened her bag of chips only for the sirens to catch her attention. She could see others running towards the source and, being as curious as they were, picked up her pace as she ran off to see. When she turned the corner by the end of the street she was on she could see the massive fire engulfing the hospital.

Her eyes went wide as she dropped her food and stared at the flames in fear. While everyone else was just shocked by the fire she actually took steps back while her hand began to quack in fear. When she was far enough that she couldn't see the flames anymore she stopped to take a breath.

"I'm okay...." she said while still breathing. "Just.....just a fire. Just....stay away from it is all."

((Sorry for the wait, hun))

His fingers glided along the strings as the others strummed with a practiced hand.  The man couldn't recall a day in his mind where he didn't play the guitar since the day he got it.  That was so long ago, 24 years, in fact.  But he couldn't think about that; if Lucius were to think about his childhood and the man in the blue box and the adventures and the confusion and the wonder and the-

A girl had paused to listen to him, taking Luci out of his thoughts and back into the moment.  He smiled politely at her, hoping she'd have some change to toss his way.  Hell, even if she dropped him some of her sugary goods it would be enough for him.  The almost malicious sweet tooth of his started up like a revving engine raring to go.  If he hadn't any manners, he might have asked her for some.  But he didn't want to scare her away.

Unfortunately, the stream of people running towards the hospital had drawn the girls attention and she soon joined them to investigate what was going on.  According to the sirens, it was obviously something.  It made him wonder why people always gathered around a scene of a crime.  Sure, their curiosity always got the best of them, but didn't they want to stay away from potential danger instead of running head first into it?  Alright, even Lucius admitted that thought wasn't accurate.  Didn't he often jump into a bad situation without thinking about it?  Of course.

It didn't take him a second thought to get up and jog after the mass of people.  But as he did so, the nauseating scent of smoke invaded his senses.  It caused him to stop close to where Treela had started to back up.  The light of the flame caught Lucius' memories aflame and fear's icy grasp took hold, an unnerving contrast to the fire's heat.

He was paralysed, immobilized by the mere sight of a fire.  He should do something- like run away and hide.  But what about the people who were trapped inside the building?  Empathy mixed with his own fear.  He knew what those people inside were going through, he'd been caught up in fires before and he could certainly vouch for how fun they were not.

"Come on, L.  Do something." Even if it was just to comfort the girl who had backed up and did exactly what Lucius wanted to do. That was still something, right? Swallowing against his dry throat, he managed to turn and follow Treela, offering the girl a nervous smile, "This is a poorly timed question- but are you alright?"

Inside the hospital, the figure walked down the corridor to open every door, checking to see if anyone was left inside.  There were a few people unconsciously laying on the floor, no doubt the smoke had gotten to them.  He left them there, satisfied with what he had done.  London would be feeling this for weeks as they struggled to put this terrible establishment back into functionality.

The figure moved to the stairs, opening it up and clomping his way down.  He had to get out of the hospital.  He had to show them who was responsible.  If he stayed any longer there was no saying if he'd make it out alive.  The people outdoors still hadn't tried smothering the flames and buildings could only take so much of a beating before they fell...

Treela gasped a little when the man she'd seen earlier had asked if she was alright. It was more because her thoughts were miles away and trying not to focus on the fire at the time. She'd backed up a little before calming down and taking a deep breath to answer him.

"I'm....I'm alright." she said. "Just not use to fire is all. Uh...maybe you should help or something?"

As she spoke with him she hid her right hand behind her back. She started to realize as she spoke with him how it was becoming unstable and started turning into her original zygon hand. She couldn't risk being discovered, especially not now when a bigger issue was at hand.
