Audrey was a shy person, rarely talked to people. But this year, this Christmas, it was going to be different.

Invitations! That was step one. Pass out invitations anywhere and everywhere she went. People would show up eventually...

As Audrey looked at the invite she had just tacked to a coffeehouse cork board, she was surprised with herself. Normally, she would be the last person to ever do this kind of thing. But as Audrey had recently realized, a person only lives once.

Night was a private person, giving out little to none information about herself. She woke up one morning in a hotel, feeling exceptionally annoyed. She made her self some jam on toast, and dropped it on the floor. She made tea, but spilled it on her cat. Move on; that's what her parents had told her, but she hand seen her parents in many of years. She got on a heavy coat on and wrapped a scarf around her mouth. It was flurrying outside that day. Night shivered. She put her hands in her pockets and got in her car. She started the car, but the muffler fell off. She cussed at the Earth, and took herself to the calm Coffee shop down the street. "A Chocolate Cocoa with four marshmallows and extra whipped cream please." People walked in and out of the store, asking for things to go. It was going to be Christmas soon. Night didn't celebrate Christmas, but she enjoyed the familiar family sensation. She wouldn't be invited to another party after the last incident. She took out her laptop, and turned it on. She checked her e-mail giving a sigh of relief as there was a new e-mail that seemed quite important to her for some reason. The car and her purse ere the only things she had. She was homeless, but let no one know about it. She closed her laptop and put it away. She grabbed her cocoa and took a sip. It was sweet and warm. She leaned back in her chair and fell. "Great. I love today." She said. She took a look at the cork board from her upside down point of view. "Christmas Party. Whatever. She or he must be pretty desperate to invite a little bit of everyone. That is exactly why I'm going to come." Night thought. Hammersmith Park. 5:00 Christmas day. That was the day Night's life changed quite rapidly.

"Hammersmith park, eh?" Sebastian looked at the invitation. Goodness knows how he had ended up with an invitation for a Christmas party but it wasn't going to stop him from actually attempting to socialize once in a while. He was an alien with a mortal lifespan until he had his powers back, then things would be fine, he could resume his work.

The 'devil' as they called him was going to...what was the popular term for ruining one's day? He was going to gate-crash the party, he had a feeling that it was going to be a small percentage of the older people who would join them, mostly younger people. It was cold and winter was the only time of year Sebastian would be bothered to put a coat over the top of his suit, which he had many spares of. The shirts themselves were cheap and the jacket was affordable with the amount he was earning off the racecourse. Sebastian strolled into a coffeehouse, immediately drawn to the board that a woman was standing in front of and decided to join her.

"You heading to this event?"

Glancing over at the other two people, Sonya squinted her eyes at them then back at the invitation she had spotted on the corkboard curiously. If the Doctor were here, he'd say something completely idiotic like 'sounds like fun, let's go see what trouble we can dig up, Sonya.' then drag me off to this. But he might have a point to be honest, things like this don't normally happen. I suppose it couldn't hurt to go and see if there is trouble. Frowning slightly, she ran a hand through her short hair idly, making the strands stick back up from the drooped down position they were in.

"Hammersmith park is only a couple blocks away from here, yeah? Couldn't hurt to go see what the fuss is about." She commented idly, loud enough for the other two to hear her as she glanced back over at them with a wry smile on her face. "I mean, trouble follows me anywhere, but a bit of a party could perk things up a bit considering how my life has been the past few years. What are you planning on bringing? I might just bring a bag of crisps myself, cheap and easy."

Night ripped in invite on the board clean off. She put the invite in her pocket. "Yes, I am coming." "Maybe, I'll find the Doctor at the party. It seems he has a knack for trouble, and I just might cause it. I need to find him."
Night turned around to face another woman. She was speaking nonsense and gibberish about trouble following her. "Oi, loud mouth, do us all a favor and shut your trap." "I'm going to bring a sing cake." Night said. She took another sip of her cocoa giving her a ring around her mouth. She wiped it with the back of her sleeve.  She turned her head into the fire place that sat in the room. The fire was burning with gusto. It snowed harder. You could have called it a blizzard. Night hated the winter. Still hungry after the toast incident, she bought a piece of cake. The cake was soft and rich and had a whipped filling in the middle. There were two other people in the store. Bigmouth and someone else who did not look very friendly. Night evaluated them and decided that these people were not normal; not normal at all. Night paid for another piece of cake and gave it to big mouth.

"Things are going to go my way dear Bigmouth. And when they do, the world will turn over a new leaf. Eat your piece of cake I bought you. It's my apology for what I will do to the world if I don't get my way. The first step to getting my way is asking this question around; Do you know someone named the Doctor?

A draft came through the crack in the wall and blew Night's dark hair over her eyes and her beret nearly fell off.

Sonya eyed the woman in front of her with amusement sparking in her blue eyes, a slight smile playing around her lips at her sharp tongue and adittude. "Hm, usually my friend is called the loudmouth, not me. So this is a bit of a change in my book." She mused outloud, taking the cake with an idle nod of thanks, her own thoughts wandering about until the rude one asked if she knew the Doctor, starting up the warning bells and making her send a calculating look in her direction.

She seemed normal enough, then again, so did Sonya. Anyone that didn't know her would assume she was human too, so appearances weren't everything. "There's lots of people called Doctor you know. Sometimes its a title, sometimes a nickname. Though when 'Doctor' is used for a nickname, they generally shorten it to 'Doc' or something equally annoying." She lifted her shoulder into a slight shrug, taking a bite out of the sweet bakery treat and licking the frosting from her lips before continuing.

"However, I am a rather secretive person. So even if I knew someone named, 'Doctor'." She scoffed slightly, her eyes rolling upwards in an act of annoyed amusement at the name. "I don't really know you well enough to say that I do." Turning her blue gaze back to the woman, she frowned slightly, studying her in silence for a moment, all traces of lighthearted actions melting away in the wake of critical assessment. "You, aren't very trustworthy anyway. I can see it in your eyes, you want to see what it's like to ruin something. What emotion you'd feel if you were to destroy. I can tell you this, be glad you don't have a concious. Because it would destroy you in the long run."

With that said, she finished the cake and turned to leave the cafe, a hand lifted up to wave over her shoulder idly in goodbye. "See you at the party then, Rude One. Perhaps you'll have had a change of heart by then, yeah?"

Night grimaced at the woman. Her face became reed with anger, but she took a slow breath. "Wait. I-I'm sorry. Just, please hear me out here. I have no ill intentions. My name is Night. No middle name. No last name. Just; Night. And that look in your eye. You know who he is, the man I'm looking for. The one with the blue box." Night ran to the door, but tripped, making her beret faff, revealing a pair of fuzzy feline ears. In the process of the mayhem, a long tail out of her pants. The tail wriggled like a worm and wouldn't stop. The tail quickly retracted and she put her beret on. It was obviously too late, and everyone in the area had seen her true form. Night stuttered; and tried to go on like nothing happened, but the uneasiness made her nervous. She coughed; trying to clear the memory of the mishap. "So; about the Doctor and the blue box, do you know anything about that?" Night feared she was too late; and if she was; she had to go to the party whether she liked it or not.

Sonya glanced at Night out of the corner of her eyes, her lips lifting up in a small smile at her attempt of being friendly towards her. "Of course I do. But that's not the question to ask. The proper question would be is if I trusted you enough to tell you anything about him. And the answer to that? No." She turned her gaze forward again, continuing down the sidewalk, hands tucked into the black leather trench coat she wore, her lips tucked down behind a scarf tied around her neck while she thought to herself for a moment then continuing.

"There are a lot of things I see in people, human... Or not." Her eyes slid back over to the girl at the last comment. "But the most prominant thing I see is their lies. And you have so many of them gathered around you, it's like a shield, Night." Sonya laughed to herself, her head tipping back to look up at the overcast sky with a slightly crazy grin plastered across her face. "Then again, I lie too. All the time, have to. When you were killed at least a dozen times and came back by some insaine means, it pays to keep the truth about yourself close to the chest." Tipping her head to the side, she flashed a smile at Night, a shoulder lifting up in a half shrug.

"So I can't really judge you, but I can keep what I know to myself simply because the Doctor I know. My Doctor, he trusts a bit too easily. Always likes to see the good in people when there is really none there. You, talking about ruining the world if you... 'Don't get your way', have a long way to go before I can even consider you having the slightest bit of good in you. In order to be good, you need a concious. You..."

She stopped and turned to stand in front of the girl, leaning forward slightly with a finger pointed square at her nose, an easy smile on her face. "Are nothing more than a spoiled brat that threatens to throw a tantrum if you don't get what you want." With that she flicked Night's nose with the pointing finger then turned and walked away again. "If you want to meet him, find someone a bit more gullible to trick into getting information from. I'm not that type of person."

Spoiled Brat? "I don't have parents; let alone a house.." Night thought to herself. She got more information than she needed out of her. She knew who the Doctor was, and that was more than enough she needed to find out where he was. Night opened the door and it shut with a loud bang. "I have good in me. I must. I just, don't remember much." Night reassured herself. She got in her car and tiled the seat back. She went through a bag of expired candies and popped one in her mouth. It was cold. She could the the mysterious woman treading out the door. She took out the invitation and unwrinkled it. "Hammersmith Park." She took out her laptop and opened the e-mail. The picture depicted a blue tall wooden box. Night sighed. "When can I meet him. They say he goes where he is needed and I need him.." She was an intriguing person. She said something about not being human. What does she know. She probably was just a little nobody. Night removed her beret and let her self go. her pulled down shutters in her car, blocking the windows, and looked at the care ceiling. She turned the radio on. it was playing light, smooth jazz. In her lounging clothes, she pulled out a book, and read about the myths of time travel. She put the book away, and fell asleep, dreaming of the things she could do with her own little blue time box, floating around in time and space, because maybe, just maybe, it was happening right then.
