I have had no roleplay on this site for a while, so I'm attempting to change that!

I roleplay like a dork it changes a lot but I will copypasta my rp selection from my character app at the bottom!

My post length and writing style varies drastically, I tend to feed off what's being given to me, usually not that well but feeding off none the less.

I am incredibly self deprecating and so is my character

I am incredibly nervous and so is my character

I am a complete hopeless romantic and so is my character

I am really easily impressed and so is my character

I am really gay and so is my character

I think that's pretty much it. Oh if you need a color for words, which I don't generally do, I'll just use this one and look out for OOC brackets then.

The Doctor is stuck under a flickering streetlamp, you are on the opposite side of the street. It's midnight, no moon or stars, the only lights around are the lamp the Doctor is under, and the light in front of a closed store you stand under.

The only way to the Doctor is to cross the dark street, easy, right? Wrong. This planet is well-known for being infested with Vashta Nerada. Any shadow anywhere could be infested with them. You have a small pack on your back with several items in it that you could use to get to him.

I assume you start in light as well otherwise the promt is completely void cause I can't see surviving in pitch black expanse of Vashta Nerada and would be role playing my character dying and quite possibly crying, which I can do, but would rather not.

Pav stood in his safe pool of stationary light, staring at the lamp lit Doctor in sheer horror. When he had been asked to travel, he hadn't expected this somehow. He left his tiny home in which he could barely pay rent and afford to look good with thoughts of adventure and fun fa away places and brave new lands. He knew it wouldn't be perfect, that they'd run into trouble eventually. He didn't think it would be within a few hours of leaving. He was still wrapping his head around there being intelligent alien life and now he was saving, or rather not saving but standing still and panicking about saving, a very intelligent alien from other intelligent aliens that want to eat them both. And they lived in the shadows, the shadows between him and the Doctor. He had a flashlight gripped in his hand, as if it was going to help him since the harsh focused light close to his body would make a sharp shadow that would inevitably touch the probably infested shadows. He wanted to cry, he was going to cry if he didn't think of something fast. He opened his bag and took out the last chicken leg, hoping to every god he'd ever heard of and had never had faith in that even though he was a god scorning heathen, please help him, as the chicken wing soared through the air approximately a foot before hitting the ground. Hope bubbled in his chest as it remained intact against the asphalt of the road, in the diffused shadows near the edge of the unfocused overhead light. That was until it rolled into the proper shadow and was promptly devoured. He reassessed his situation. He had about a half of foot of completely illuminated sidewalk, according to the chicken, he had about 2 feet of safe asphalt, then after that He had very very not safe about 4 or 5 feet across the dark street(including the unknown half diffused light on the other side just to be safe) then a few inches of well lit sidewalk and the Doctor. He could just bolt through it and hope they didn't get him, but there was a change he would either die or be infected and he didn't want to die and if he got infected and his shadow touched the Doctor's shadow then the Doctor was at risk. He couldn't risk the Doctor. He took a deep breath to compose himself. If he panicked he'd do something stupid, he had to keep his anxiety at bay and have a breakdown later. He switched on the flashlight and checked the obvious solution. put close to the edge the light got across just fine but the beam was too focused and narrow to walk safely across, he brought it back so the part that illuminated the street he needed to cross was more diffused and spread out. It worked and was wide enough(thank all that is good for a strong flashlight) but there was a concerning space of shadow just before the safe sidewalk on the other side. He could have sobbed. He didn't he let out a panicked, upset and slightly teary whimper, but he didn't cry. He rummaged through his bag, sniffling. He had matches and... a jacket but the waterproof material wouldn't burn well, no reliable light. He furrowed his brow and wished for a second it was a real coat in there- wait. It may not have been a real coat, nut he was wearing a real sweater. He looked reluctantly down at the sweater and took a deep breath. The bag drooped to the floor with a thump near his feet as he pulled the clothing on his upper boy, off of his body.he peeled the shirt away from the sweater and crumpled them up, Quickly shrugging on the raincoat and closing it(way too naked)he switched off the flashlight so he wouldn't be lit from behind (and therefore his shadow stretch forward, and lit his T-shirt, striking a match and burning the corver, he tossed it to the other side of the unsafe dark and waited ans the flame started to eat at it. It did, he snatched his bag upp, flicked on the flashlight(just in case) and bolted across the now lit pathway to the doctor, sweater in hand for the return trip "Doctor! DOCTOR!" he cried out, relieved and still terrified tears streaking down his face for a moment as he lost his fragile composure."

Unfortunately this site is experiencing tremendous lack of activity in the recent month mainly due to the holidays and college/school. I myself am facing 39+ hour work weeks plus college and social life, so i find it hard to keep up here.

I expect the crowds to return in December when breaks are given though, so don't worry. Once the crowds come back, flip out and Open RP and see how it works

Yeah, I will be free after Christmas holidays and then probably be trying to keep up the activity until my real exams hit. It's a pretty hectic time but I should be around, if you want to RP

Pav, you and I could have an RP. Either with my secondary Eric, or primary 10th. I don't mind

I know your feelings Pav, it actually feels like the internet has died world round in RPG forums and such. I haven't done much posting because I wanted to finish the RPs I was in before going on to others and establishing wibbly timelines...and yeah, I'm seriously hoping it picks up in December as well. I have writer's block and lack of motivation frequently that starting up an open RP when I know many aren't about is very HARD. I do still lurk about though...

yeah seriously. It's been an interesting time in my rl life to. not the best. I wish I had some stress relief XD

I mean, Pav, would you like me to start one…or? Its just that our characters are quite different that I'm unsure how they'd stay in the same room/area xD

yeah I was wondering that too.... i don't have any ideas do you? Logically they wouldn't get along and that can only go so many ways

Hmmm…There is Seb, who is basically an alien and i think that he's a nice gut at times but…many of my characters have been friendly in the past, *cough* Brax*cough* who was a time traveller but overall, I don't really know...

Honestly, I think the only way to do some RPs like this is to jump in head first, throw a bunch of accidents in your way that you have to overcome, and be better for it, all the while meeting everyone else and interacting with them as you try to figure out what the heck is going on. There's no need to go, I don't know that guy, so I don't know how to fit in. (I'm assuming you guys were referring to 10's RP.)

I was hinting to Pav's character but i see what you're saying, Meta. I think I could try out an open for you to jump into Pav, outside turmoil?
