| Name: Celesmals
Appearance: Celesmals have 2 appearances that they can switch between at will. The first appearance is basically a normal human appearance. The second is any other earth animal. The catch is that the animal they can shift to is based off the person's personality like spirit animals. (Examples of personality traits + the animal: Sly and Cunning/ Fox, Hyper and Sweet/Puppy and, Clumsy/Giraffe) [Examples of RL people if they were a Celesmal: Robert Downey Jr./Fox, David Tennant/Puppy and, Matt Smith/Giraffe...]
Attitude: Celesmals try their best to blend in with humans so they are fairly accepting to humans. Celesmals are also not usually shocked my all the alien invasions. Celesmals tend to stick close to other Celesmals as well unless they see a benefit to not sticking around their own kind. Celesmals are greedy in a way. They prefer the word ambitious and usually try to get high up positions on Earth.
Technology: At the same point as Earth but they used to be farther along in space technology (as in space travel) before they crashed on Earth and lost their space technology in the crash.
Backstory: The Celesmals are originally from a planet very that had a similar atmosphere to earth. This planet was called Solmul. Solmul was destroyed in the Time War but there was a spaceship packed with the most influential families of Celesmals and they managed to escape before Solmul became unlivable. This spaceship ended up on earth. They landed in the place that is now called Area 51 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Once the US Government found out they imprisoned the Celesmals but then soon after decided that Celesmals were not a threat and let them integrate into society. Although the general public still doesn't know about Celesmals and the UN keeps a very extensive record of all Celesmals.
Present: Celesmals have been on earth for a few generations now but they are still just trying to blend in with the humans.

| Hm. I think you're on the right track, but I think there's a few things that need looking at first.
1- The appearance is a tad confusing. Your examples don't make... a whole lot of sense... Are you suggesting that said examples aren't actually humans, but Celesmals? Because then I'll be a lot less confused. Also, when you say "personality", I want to know exactly what you mean by this. Like, stereotypical descriptions of the animals? Animals that have behaviors similar to the "human" they are? A little of both?
2- Attitude. I just feel like this isn't fleshed out enough. Of course all races have varying personalities. Unless they're all clones, this is kind of expected. If you need a bit of an example, I think the human "attitude" would be somewhere along the lines of hostile (while unable to back it up), untrusting, and generally foolish - in the eyes of the rest of the universe, anyway. Think of how your species interacts with the entirety of space, not just humans. I see you did that a bit, but I just think it needs a tad more detail, because I'm not 100% clear on what you mean.
3- I would like you do define "farther along in space technology" for me. What specifically have they focused on advancing? Travel ships? Cargo ships? Communications? And if they are in the same point as Earth, why is it that their space tech is so advanced? Please elaborate why they placed such high importance on space specifically.
In general, the point of this form is to get a general understanding of the motivations and priorities of the race. We want to be able to see why and how they would do an action. I'm just not seeing that very clearly here. It's... I feel it's almost there, but isn't quite as well explained as it could be. | |
