"Katie," the voice was gentle and soft. Welcoming and peaceful. Ashley groaned. "Katie?" Ashley's eyes snapped opened. There was a woman hovering above her, blonde hair slipping out of a loose bun. "Mom?" Ashley muttered, trying to sit up, though she was pushed back down. "Oh, oh... Ashley? Oh, please. Please stay here." She whispered, shaking her head quickly and pushing away from the bed. Something was at the door, pounding against it in a four beat rhythm. Ashley perched herself on her elbows, rubbing the sleep from her eyes as she watched her mother approach the door. "Listen, listen closely, Ashley... They meant to take you both." The door opened, light flooding the room and blinding the eleven year old. She didn't see her mother continue forward, or hear any of her screams. Those were completely overlooked.

And as quick as it came, the door shut and the light faded. The shadows returned. Ashley slipped from the bed, still wearing her overalls and dark pink shirt underneath from her day at the camp. That's what made her freeze. "How..." She whispered, rushing towards the door with a frightened expression. Her mom wasn't supposed to be here. This was a summer camp and as far as Ashley remembered, it was still July. Pulling the door open, she glanced out into the night. "Oh, yeah. Cabin." She looked over her shoulder at the still sleeping cabin members. Some of her newly developed friends were here too. But that didn't make a difference.

Running out of the cabin, Ashley rushed forward, nearly tripping over herself. But nothing was there. Nothing was in the dark she squinted into. Only a lake, a meeting hall, and several more cabins going in a straight line down the path. Smacking her hand to her forehead, she lightly shook her head. "Oh boy. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy." She mumbled much too quickly under her breath.

Someone screamed. The air felt ten times colder. Spinning around, Ashley's eyes widened. It looked surreal. It was surreal. Several cabin members were standing in the grass, staring up at the sky as if they hadn't seen it before. "Jenna? Sarah? Lily?" Ashley asked gently, slowly taking steps towards them. But it was useless. Her body slammed straight against some sort of barrier, and she was incapable of getting through. But it was only her. It was only ever her. More cabin bunkies slipped out of bed, wandering barefoot until standing in a straight line. Staring at the sky.

Ryder tumbled out of a cabin, unsure of how he got there to begin with, but momentarily forgetting it for the sake of not wasting time. And it seemed like a camp of a places. He had been to camp before, when he was younger. It was awful. Getting back his balance, Ryder took several steps into the grass, which was quite wet with dew. Running his hands together, Ryder picked up his head to look around. And straight off the bat, he noticed a dome type thing. Just because it reflected the moon and some on the lake that was visible at the bottom. Kids, probably around the age of ten or eleven, stood staring up at the sky inside the dome. But one wasn't. A girl with blonde hair stood right outside of it. Quickly rushing towards her, Ryder stopped at her side. She looked younger than the others. Maybe by a few years. About to run his fingers through his hair, he immediately decided against it. He had just woken from sleep that he didn't remember trying to get to, so his hair was probably messy already. His eyes were still half open, glassy from sleep. His sweatshirt was hanging off one shoulder, his shirt wrinkled. "Um... What's going on?" He asked in a soft, unsure voice. Of course he was going to be unsure of everything. He was practically the only adult here with only one little kid to talk to. And she looked strangely like the Olsen twins.

"Ain't ya ever see a dome before?" Ashley practically said it in a joking tone, but then she honestly got a bit curious. She glanced up at Ryer with a smile. "You look messy." Okay, and she was a bit too honest. But so? Extending her hand out, she poked the small dome. "I'm Ashley. That's a dome. And you're tall." Now she was just sounding rude. But hey, what's the point in being a kid with no parents to snap at you if you can't be a little rude to older people? And he was a cute older kid. Really, really cute. Ashley's best friend Lily would call him a total babe. Even if they were only eleven, it was still fun to think about. "Look, I have friends in there. Just help me get rid of it."

Ryder looked from Ashley to the dome, then to Ashley again. "Uh, yeah. Yeah, sure." He was hurrying towards the dome already, looking for any exits or entrances, or even tiny cracks. But there was nothing. "Ashley, I'm not sure there's a way to get rid of it when I can't even find a way inside of it..." He dragged the last word gently under his breath, really not wanting to upset the kid, but not knowing how else to put it. All those camp members didn't even seem to notice a change. Or maybe the did, but were too focused on that sky... He looked up immediately. There was nothing but sky. Stars, moon, airplanes. Nothing too important to keep looking at. Gently placing a hand on the small dome, Ryder felt a tingle go through it, then a sound like a twig breaking. He jerked backwards, stumbling until he was standing beside Ashley. "No... No more touching that thing." He whispered, rubbing at his wrist as he looked at her. Whatever the dome was, whatever was happening with the cabin members and Ashley's friends, it clearly didn't even attempt on trying to get the two of them. That's what made him so interested.

Ashley glanced at Ryder, pulling the most practical 'duh' face. "Well, are you nuts? How can we break it if we can't touch it?" She snapped, turning away to rush towards the facility lounging cabin. There must be something there that could help. Something or anything at all. Something! Ashley broke into a sprint, and it several seconds, was already back with a hammer in hand. It was probably for the work shop for the older kids in the afternoon. Oh well. "Get back." She called over to Ryder, slamming down on the dome quickly with the hammer. Nothing happened. Of course nothing happened. She dropped the hammer immediately. "We're screwed. Oh, boy. There's no way to get in there!"

This girl was strange. Definitely, incredibly... Strange. Ryder picked up the hammer, walking until he was facing a bench. He set it down on the arm rest, watching it for a moment as if he expected it to walk off right then. "We'll find someway to do it, Ashley. But staring at it and beating it won't exactly work if it reacts to hard touches. Or... Human touch at all." Running the palms of his hands together, he went over what's already happened in his head. And because there wasn't much to think about, it was fairly easy. Woke up, went out, found a dome, watched a little kid smack at it, and then the playback ends. Crossing his arms, Ryder started towards the lake. If there was one thing he knew how to do, it was work with the water. So an idea came to mind. "Ashley, come here." He said, staring at the overlapping waves with one raised eyebrow. There was a strong curiosity to try out the idea. Then there was common sense. Someone could get hurt... Someone could... "I think I have some kind of idea."
