Doorless Room

Blinking her eyes for a moment, Sonya sat up and stared around the white room she sat in. On the floor at that, no furniture, no windows... No door. Leaping to her feet she raced over to the wall in front of her and frantically ran a hand along it's blank surface with a frown. Moving to the next wall, she did the same thing until she moved in a circle back to the first one. Taking a couple of steps back, she stumbled over her bag behind her and fell back onto her rear. Sonya let out a loud breath of air and stared around the room again, a slow shiver of fear working its way up her spine at the site she took in. No escape, no way out. The last thing she remembered was falling asleep in the bed of the hotel room she stepped into for the night. Nothing woke her up, yet something or someone had to have picked her up. Someone had carried her here.
Pulling her bag out in front of her, she began shifting through the contents with a scowl. No phone, she refused to keep one in the past due to people asking for her number after getting to know them. She wanted no attachments to a place she planned on leaving in only a few short weeks. She had no way to contact anyone, even if she had... What would she tell them? It seemed to her she was locked in an asylum from the descriptions she's heard in the past. But why? Who on earth had brought her here.
Finally giving up hope, she flung the bag away from her in disgust and buried her face in her hands as she tried to work over anything that might have happened in the past... She didn't even know how long it has been.
Suddenly a loud click startled her from her thoughts and caused her head to jerk up and stare in astonishment at the wall opposite of her, the same one she had just searched, a section of it slid away, the same size of a door to reveal a young woman standing there with a wide smile on her face. "Welcome, Sonya. You had been asleep for so long I had worried the drug we gave you to be toxic to your species." She said conversationally as she strode into the room, the doorway sliding shut and vanishing from view once more as she did. "I am Jessica, but you can call me Jess."
Sonya gaped at the woman, her mouth hanging open as she tried to process all she had been told before closing it and standing back on her feet cautiously. "Why am I here?" She finally managed to ask as she took a couple of steps away from the woman, her back coming to rest against the wall behind her. "How did I even get here?"
"The hotel, you are the first species I've seen stumble in the way you did. We've trapped several there with the usual front of a normal hotel. Then once they've fallen asleep, we pump a sleep agent through their vents and then remove them to here, a secure facility below the hotel. It covers nearly three miles just below the London surface. Several of the hotels in this area are all entrances and part of the operation."
Shaking her head slightly, Sonya closed her eyes and reached up, rubbing a hand on her temple for a moment before looking back up at the woman again with a frown. "What operation?"
She flashed her another smile then held her hands out, excitement seeming to radiate from her slim form. "We extract your different energy.. Use it for free fuel. Its incredible how other species have developed around the universe, the energy in most of them can create a charge which we use to sell as energy for the city." Turning around, Jess strode back to the door as the wall opened up once more. "Open your eyes, Sonya. It happens to be the 22nd century... There are all sorts of things we can do now. And this happens to be one of them." The wall slid shut behind the woman, leaving Sonya shivering slightly in the brightly lit room as the magnitude of the words she just said settled into her mind.

Oli had just materialized. His manipulator had been acting up, and he ended up in another century. "Damn thing!" He exclaimed. "I wanted to see Elvis, not the 22nd century!" As he strode around for a bit, he realized he was in London. As he slowly got himself lost, he began getting tired in the hot sun. Oliver wandered about until he found a seemingly innocent hotel. Flashing the attendant his psychic paper, he got himself a room. " Atleast I can rest for now..." He says plopping down on the bed. Without knowing, Oliver found himself asleep, and when he awoke, he was in a small, doorless room.

-100 years ago-
I was in a underground bunker under the Recon Tower. I was planning to test a new piece of technology I was working on. It was designed to teleport me through time when I want it to. "Okay. Open log. Today's date 02/05/2012. Today's test time travel." I start to click some buttons on the display on my arm. "The goal is to travel 100 minutes into the future, so technically travel 1 hour and 40 minutes. Current time is 17:15 GMT, so the goal will be 18:55."
I finish the log and save it as an audio file. I then hit one final button on the display and I disappear in a bright white light, leaving no trace behind.

Sonya paced around her cell, her hands folded behind her back as she glared at the floor. "Alright. Stuck in a room, no way out..." She sighed softly and finally came to a stop, facing what she thought was the wall with an invisible door on it. The room itself was a perfect cube, no variation from one wall to the next as she walked around, she had been tempted to dig for a pen in her bag and make a mark of some sort on the wall before, only to realize after testing it that the material was some metal, the color part of it. No paint, nothing that the ink would stick to. "They certainly had gone all out on confusing everyone, haven't they?" She finally let out a groan and plopped back in the middle of the room, ignoring the pain in her backside from doing so as she pulled her bag back in front of her and began searching through it once more. "Come on, there has to be something in here that I can use." Sonya muttered, pulling out each item in turn and setting them to the side as she dug deeper. "Sonic, not much help when I don't know how to use it properly... Physic paper... Not really any help there either. Pen and paper... Not really unless I want to doodle my life away. Books... Books... More books. Not one thing." She declared with disgust, dropping the cloth bag on the floor in front of her and casting an irritated glance at the items spread out in front of her.

" Where the hell am I?" Oliver questioned, looking around the room. It was a perfect cube. " What would my brother do..." he thought out loud. He reached for the manipulator on his wrist, but it was gone. This was ridiculous. " Whoever is doing this, show yourself right now, or I'll get very...VERY angry!" He yells at no one.

-Now-
I soon reappear inside a white room. My face was almost an inch away from the wall itself, "That wasn't expected, and there definitely wasn't a wall here an hour ago." I then turn around, I then jumped slightly shocked. "Hey Sonya?" I say as I wave at you. "I didn't expect to see you here."

Sonya blinked at the man, a curious frown crossing her features as she looked him over. He knew who she was, but she had never met him before in her life. Suddenly sucking in a breath, she let out a low groan. Of course, he knew the other Sonya. The one from this universe. "Um..." She mumbled, glancing around the room for a moment, trying to find something else to look at besides the man. "I'm not exactly the Sonya you know." She finally mumbled, a hand reaching up to tug on a strand of her hair nervously, her teeth working on her lower lip in the process. "How did you even get in here anyway?"

Oli paced about the room a bit. Where was he, and why was he here. A white room with nothing in it. He sat down, and closed his eyes. His head ached, like someone just drugged him. " Hello?!" He yelled at the top of his lungs. He might have been alone, but he had nothing to work with. This was a last resort. " Can anyone hear me?!!"

"What do you mean you're not exactly the Sonya that I know? And as for how I got here..." I then turn around as I hear something through one of the walls. "Saved by the bell." I thought as I wondered how I would inevitably have to explain how I got here.

"Can anyone hear me?"

I hear called through the wall, I soon tried to reply by yelling back. "Yes, I can hear you. Where are you?" I ask hoping that me and Sonya weren't the only people trapped in these rooms.

Folding her arms over her chest, Sonya let out a low breath. Trying to decide on how exactly she should tell him that she wasn't the same woman he had known obviously. "The Sonya from this universe is... She died saving her Doctor." She murmured quietly and stared down at the floor, refusing to look up at him while she spoke. "sorry." Siva added and glanced up again, her head tilting to the side once she heard the other voice.

Elizabeth was tired from traveling in the town and decided to get some rest. Spotting a near hotel, she walked towards it with an uneasy feeling. She approached the front desk and stated with a polite smile,"Hello, do you have a vacancy? I would like to stay for a night."

The small man behind the desk looked up at her with happy- or was that a hungry?- looking smile and stated," oh, it's quite tragic almost, we always have vacancies. Ill sign you up for a room."

A few moments later, she was led into a cozy, dim-lighted room. Exhausted, Elizabeth got into bed and went to sleep.

When she woke up, her head ached and everything in her vision was white.. It took a few moments to realize that everything actually was white. She found herself in a cube looking room, with white walls. Starting to panic, she hit her hand against one. It felt... Odd. It wasn't made of concrete or plastic and it almost... Wait a second. It felt like just the slightest pulses of energy were coming through. Examining it closer, she took her paints out of her pack and attempted to paint, but the strokes of the brush didn't appear.

She straightened herself up, turned to the wall, and said in a low voice: "...hello?"

(It's an open topic, jump right in But since my other two have vanished, I'm not sure how to reply. I'll wait for a bit and see if someone jumps on, if not I'll continue on and reply to yours)

(I think Oli vanished on us completely. I haven't seen him online in a while."

"Wait, what do you mean she's dead." I go silent for a sec as I turn to face you. "You don't have to be sorry, it's not like it's your fault that she's dead." I smile slightly as I walk over to you. "And I think it's more important to find a way to get out of here."

"Right, good luck with that. No door besides the one over there... I think, it might be this wall. I've paced around this room so often I've forgotten where the door is honestly." Sonya shrugged her shoulders and placed a hand on the wall she stood next to, staring at it with a frown. "No window, virtually no way out of this room. I think the door is controlled by someone outside of the room rather than risk electronics in this room itself. I'm not clever enough to fiddle with them, but someone else might be." Turning back around, she faced Adam with a frown on her lips. "I don't know how long I've been in here... Days, weeks... Months even. There is no sense of time in this room. I'm usually very good at keeping time, but... There's some wave, some subtext in the air that's cancelling it out."

"Well how would you suggest we get out then? If you can't even remember which side is the door then we haven't got much of a chance in finding a way out of here." I walk over to one of the walls and lean against it with a thump. "Wait, how thick are these walls meant to be?" I stop leaning on the wall and start to tap it in various places before taking a step back. "I think I found the door."

Taking a deep breath, Elizabeth calmed herself, quieted down, and gingerly pressed her ear to the wall. She could hear the faintest voices on the other side. Immediately, she shouted,"Hello?! Can you hear me? Hello? What's going on?!" She went silent and waited for an answer, playing with her necklace.

"You can't open it. The damn thing is locked. My sonic wouldn't even be able to open it if I knew how to use it. Deadlocked I think it's called. You have to have the encryption key, and on top of that, a control panel to type it in at." Sonya said impatiently, her ears catching another faint voice that caused her to fall silent. "Listen, you hear that?" She finally hissed, looking over at Adam as her ears strained to catch the voice again. "I think there's someone else here..." Turning around in a circle, she squinted her eyes slightly, trying to catch anything in the impossibly white room as she had before only to be surprised completely by the sight of a faint energy trail hovering in front of her, where Adam had appeared moments ago. "Ah! You, how did you get in here? A Manipulator? Can you get us out of this room and behind that door?"

She stammered, utterly confuzed to how she got there and looked at Sonya with a blank face. Snapping out of it, she quickly went over and said, "This wall is weaker for some reason... I can do something but you have to assure me it's absolutley nessasary. I might be able to look into the other room, but only for a short period of time. However, it's going to hurt." Already, I strengthened the pulse with my necklace and concentrated on the door.

"It's necessary. They're luring people here to absorb their energy and power their own electrical stations." Sonya snapped, her stress at the situation finally reaching it's peak and breaking her usual calm demeanor. "Get us out of this room and I can take care of the rest, as long as I find a door with a handle we can get out of here, I promise." She added in a softer tone to take the edge off of her earlier statement.

Focusing, she broke the bonds with her body, cutting them with a surge of pain. She cried out, and finally split. Passing through the white wall, she spotted a lever and concentrated, willing it to move. It complied on the third try and she sank back into the other room, and back into her own body, welding her soul to the frame. When it was done, she sat up with a gasp and looked at the wall; or where it used to be, and smiled with a deep breath.

Sonya let out a small breath and grinned brightly before grabbing her knapsack and slipped it onto her shoulders while stepping out into the hallway beyond. The walls there were impossibly white as well, the floor however was a metal of some sort, not the tin floors in construction sites or factories, but a denser metal that allowed hardly any noise to be made while she walked. "Right then... Find a door with a handle, get out of here. Find out what the hell they want with people like me." She said under her breath, keeping a mental list of all the things she wanted to get done while she walked slowly.

I was silent in a slight sleepy daze as I leaned against the door listing as I knocked. I was then shocked when it opened as I fell flat on my face, It felt terrible but at least I was fully awake. I then decided it would be a good to get up so no one walked over me, so I got up and brushed my self on and checked to see if my nose was okay. "What just happened?" I say as I turn around to see Sonya and someone else who I didn't know. "And who are you?"

She stepped forward with a weak smile. "You can call me Elizabeth, but in public I prefer Shifter." Dusting herself off, she staggered to her feet and said, "Well let's find a way out then," and proceeded to enter the other room.
