The Siren makes a... sound. Screechy, mechanical, maybe a chuckle? She points up. "This world is connected by a network commonly referred to as the Internet. You will take me to a place where I can access it, then you will show me where to acquire an automobile. I will go then, after you have done all that is asked of you." Her glowing eyes, the way she stood like a predator ready to hunt at a moment's notice, everything about this woman... thing indicated that she was the dangerous type. Her early flashes of rage also demonstrated quite clearly that she deteriorated to anger very quickly.

This woman, thing, it, was clearly a creature of habit. She stood with gold metal glinting sharply off the contours of her mechanical skeleton, enhancing the already frightening appearance she portrayed. It was like something out of a horror film and Ramona did a swift glance around to see if maybe, just maybe she was being filmed somewhere hidden. When her search brought nothing she was forced to look back at the creature, chewing anxiously on her lower lip.

"Kay so... Internet car. Uhm, Library and Enterprise?" She suggested with a lop-sided smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. Her fingers picked at the hem of her hoodie and she shuffled rainbow trainers against the grungy pavement. "Or do you mean actually take you somewhere cause... Well most things are closed that would have wi-fi and I ain't takin' you to no Mickey D's man.." She could take the thing home- Anger sliced through the very prospect before she could muse on it. Okay that was clearly out of the question, no taking the strange thing home. Probably a good idea, no homicidal androids at the house, check. Ramona shuffled again and tangled her hands in her hair, what to do... "You could always go find yourself a blue box? I'm sure someone there might have some of that.... Uranium stuff.."

What was she even saying? 'It's worth a shot right?' her mind replied quickly, and she shook her head. No. It was a dumb thing to say because men in blue boxes just didn't exist!

The Siren wasn't telepathic anymore, but she could tell that there was quite a few things spinning around in Ramona's head. Her measure of this one's intelligence so far had not been astounding, but the words "blue box" seemed incredibly odd. "What is this blue box? Some sort of storage device?" Her body was engulfed in a blue glow as she re-applied her shields and took on the appearance of a human once more. Perhaps a more friendly visual would make her more cooperative.

Ramona was, to be honest, a tad startled at how vividly the memories of her time with the Doctor struck her. Almost as though she'd experienced the whole thing yesterday, her heart twinged with an aching for the Library she'd seen. But she stopped herself, halting the images flashing through her mind and put a clamp on them. These were things that she had decided weren't true, the Doctor was just a piece of her imagination that culminated into an imaginary friend of sorts. Ramona couldn't let herself believe it was true. She couldn't relive the exhilarating rush of air brushing through her hair on the train, the charming smell of old tomes and new novels meshing into something like a 'musk' for her.

She tightened her fists and stared up at the android-now-woman, the same image that had began the chase to start with. Hatred flared in her eyes and Ramona snorted "It's nothing, just an imaginary thing for those bumps in the night, kinda like you. Imaginary and just impossible!"

The Siren looked at Ramona appraising lot. Anger was a healthy trait. There was, however, a problem with that sentence. "I can assure you that I am very much possible, and very much real." The Siren put emphasis on this by reaching out to grab the wrist of this human. "I'm growing weary of your resistance. Take me to a place where I can use the Internet. The Cel warriors are not know for their patience, my dear human.." She aware that Ramona didn't know what a Cel was, but hopefully the title of warrior and recollections of the very brief chase would get the point across.

She gasped and pulled back against the android when tight fingers encompassed her wrist in a forceful fashion. Ramona cried out and jerked viciously, sneering at the thing and completely disregarding her warnings. She had had enough of this thing! She was one girl in a million-people city. The thing probably would have been just fine stalking a companion or suitable escort, she could probably even find a businessman running around at this hour! So Ramona shuffled through her choices and posed it "Your patience wears thin on your own behalf, I'm one in a million. Just leave me alone and go find someone else! There are so many people I'm nothing special you!"

    Ramona jerked again.

The Siren gave a mechanical growl at Ramona's jerking and gave a jerk of her own, perhaps a little too forcefully. "You radiate energy different from other humans. You have been exposed to unique situations they have not. You are not one in a million, you are one in perhaps thirty!" She hasn't wanted to mention that, but other approaches weren't working. She needed to be persuaded that her life was important, but not so important that The Siren wouldn't kill her. This person had displayed one particularly well used ability. She had distracted the Cel from her original goal for some time. There was some backfire, though. The Siren had realized Ramona had drawn this out, even unintentionally, and was not happy with this fact at all.

What was that supposed to even mean? One in maybe thirty people? Unique situations that varied her presence or whatever she was saying. In her brain it made no sense though in another section she was piecing together what it really meant. Connecting the puzzle in a piece of her mind that she couldn't reach, thus leaving her hanging and quite frustrated. Her wrist popped uncomfortably and she cried out as she was jerked roughly in return. Still she clenched her fists and threw her weight backward, nothing could ever warrant this kind of treatment. She just wanted to go home! "Then go find one of those... Thirty or whatever! I'm not taking you anywhere you.. you thing!" She sniped vehemently. Not even trying to be kind in her tone, she was sick of this situation, it needed to go away.

The Siren puts both hands on Ramona's shoulders and yanks her close, hissing. "You are the one of those thirty I was closest to. You will do as I so because if you don't I will leave you in the middle of the road with your neck cut open!" It was a bluff, because she hasn't bothered to find any others like this human, but the bluff was well covered by the restrained rage in her voice. "Your life is expendable, you are only alive because I allow it." She released Ramona and stepped back, waiting to see what she would do now.

How was she supposed to react to that? The creature stood back, all contact gone after her active threat. Ramona stared at her wide-eyed a moment, her thoughts rushing and tumbling, making it impossible to focus on one thing. Well. Other than 'Run for your Life!' Her mind shrieked and her body obeyed. Ramona wheeled around quicker than she ever had before and was running, trainers smacking the pavement and eyes searching wildly for the closest person, crowd, Something! Anything so long as she wasn't alone. She darted across the street and came to a fence, gasping with anxiety she grasped the upper prongs, considering it was conveniently short enough, and pulled herself over.

She would run until her lungs gave out, until her heart died of over-use. But she would not let herself be caught again, she didn't care what that thing wanted. She wasn't your normal girl in the aspect of standing there sobbing like a baby, waiting to be rescued. Ramona would run before she would ever let danger come to herself. And so she did, scaling identical, metal fences that marked off private properties. Dodging kid's jungle-gyms, yard ornaments and the occasional sprinkler in her frantic need to escape.

The Siren watched her run, and ascended to the rooftops to follow at more relaxed pace while still able to see Ramona. She would allow this human to have some feeling of safety and go home... then the plan will advance. There was work to be done... first, escape this solar system, or at least the planet. Then she would find her way back to the empire and confront the council. A little bit of truth bending and some clever half-lies, and The Siren could put together a convincing argument. With that argument won, the Council would sanction the construction of a new flagship, then back to the well laid plans that had been so rudely disrupted.

Ramona jammed her key into the slot and turned viciously, cursing loudly when the teeth jarred against their nests and stalled. She kneed the door angrily and couldn't even bring herself to smile or be thankful when it finally opened, if not begrudgingly. She knew she should have looked into better apartments but the rent was cheap and really the room wasn't that bad. A few carpet stains did little to deter a determined girl like her, plus one familiar with all sort of stains. But that was the least of her worries as Ramona barged in, slammed the door back into place and flipped the locks.

First thing first, she immediately grasped her wrist and scanned over it. Probably with no help from her own panic, the bruise was much worse and longer than she'd anticipated, reaching up to her elbow and jumping onto her bicep. Her opposite shoulder was bruised and she might have pulled a muscle in her foot with all of that ludicrous jumping. Otherwise she was remotely unharmed, at least from the force of an alien android trying to bend her to its will. Everything was just peachy!

Ramona sniffed a little as she finally let the tears drip openly down her cheeks, nose itching with the delayed need to cry for so long. This was just horrible, just awful! First the crazy Doctor which she'd finally convinced herself never happened, and now this! Now this insane android came along and completely erased that self-made reality from her mind. She hated the creature, the thing that destroyed the returning balance to her already precarious mental state. Ramona huffed and choked back a sob as she settled down on the couch, pulling her laptop onto shivering knees and gripping it tight. What ever had she done to the universe to warrant all of this? This sudden onslaught of tragedy and abrupt 'adventuring,' as the Doctor had put it. The Doctor, that damned man. She chewed on her tongue in anger. Memories of the Library and her experiences there were rushing through the holes in her mind like a hurricane, forcing her to face the truth of what had happened and what was happening.

Some might call it over-dramatic or even over-reacting. But how in the world would anyone, living a perfectly normal, boring life be capable of just accepting such a significant change? Any natural human being would be scared right? Angry and confused, they would run and try to escape. Like Ramona did. Right? No, no.... She wasn't even sure anymore. And she hated herself for it.

The Siren took to the ground once more when she saw Ramona enter a building. Her assessment of it was quick, but inadequate. No obvious defenses, multiple residents, not wealthy enough for unpleasant hidden defenses. Not expecting any sort of fight from anything other than her prey, the Cel approached the building. Whats the word organics use? Tiring, yes tiring. That's what this is becoming. This chase is becoming very tiring. I should have thrown together a simple telepathic control device. There is so much more work to be done... She doesn't respond to threats, anger... Perhaps.. Maybe, empathy? The Siren tapped on the door a little too hard.

She jumped when strong knuckles rapped against the door, the sound a lonely echo that bounced through the hallway. Ramona choked back a rising sob and squeezed her eyes shut. Maybe it was the Doctor, maybe he'd somehow felt her turmoil through some crazy psychic connection and come to rescue her from her misery. She nearly died inside at the thought, how dare she even 'think' about wanting that man anywhere near her, let alone in her home! It was his fault that all of this was happening. All she'd wanted was the time of day...

But that did not make the threat at hand disappear and Ramona swallowed through a thick haze and stood up from the couch. She crossed the living room, strode down the hall and rounded the corner to stare at the door. The only thing between she and the android, for that is what it was. The creature at her stoop. With her luck she should have known it would find her, but one could hope that escape was a possibility in these times. She just had to hold that hope for dear life when that possibility was made invalid and illogical. To think that aliens would render common sense illogical. Ramona inhaled sharply, deeply, and stepped forward. The bolt sent a shiver racing down her spine as it slid heavily from it's hole. She twisted the handle and pulled the door open. "Don't you dare tell that man where I live." And thus she deemed herself officially insane.

Ramona's words took the Siren completely off guard. "What man? Why were those the first words you spoke? Did you know it was me?" She rattled off the three questions with admirable speed. She closed her eyes for a moment and shook her head, remembering human body language. Her eyes came open once more and The Siren looked at Ramona with a frown. "Nevermind..." It took some effort, but she managed to take on the expression of someone deeply troubled. "I... Look, human, I apologize for my previous actions. They were made in desperation, because I need the things I requested of you earlier." The Siren paused to think about what tone of voice to take on, and succeeded. "I just want to leave this world, I want to go home." The words came out sounding sad, and desperate.

The android spoke immediately and so quickly. Albeit confused and a slight bit bewildered, she transferred topics while Ramona was pulling a reply to her first questions out of her butt. Suddenly she was being apologized too, what appeared to be genuine concern and shame for her earlier actions came across a foreign face. Ramona stopped and simply stared, only the cold rush of the air filtering through the vents made her blink, and remember that time was still moving. What was she supposed to do with that? The android hadn't threatened to go tell the doctor her address and was in fact, saying she was sorry for being a twit. Her fingers tingled and she might have lost feeling in her toes but she remained standing, staring. Hazel eyes sizing up the creature that she knew not to be human, and yet wore a human skin so deliciously well.

It was sickening. And all she wanted to do was go home did she? A small voice at the base of her skull whispered warnings in her ear. But Ramona narrowed her eyes and clenched her fists. She was perfectly capable of taking care of herself, this thing was on her doorstep, the entrance to her home. Nobody just waltzed up and took advantage of the land owner without facing the gun. Images of her father shooting at her brothers young lovers flashed satisfactorily through her brain and Ramona smiled. "Well now, wasn't that so easy? Good grief thing, could've asked that from the start instead of lurking around like a pro-creeper. That's just not how you do it here! Come on in, you like fruities?" Ramona stepped to the side and opened the hallway to the creature. All the while alarm bells rang.

The Siren stepped into the hallway with mixed feelings about using that tactic. Feigning emotions to trick her... There was no honor in it.
If any of my warriors had attempted such subterfuge... I would have had the punished.. Are my actions justifiable? She felt emotion, and there was sadness, but not desperation. And her reasons for wanting to go home were much less than good. Ramona's words confused her, breaking a melancholy train of thought . "A...fruitie?"

"Fruitie, ya know? A flavored beverage? Wow, dull thing aren't you?" Ramona scoffed as she swept into the kitchen, cheeks still swollen and splotchy, sobs still caught at the back of her throat. She could still be civil, even if she wanted to scream, cry, and throw herself out the window. She would have liked to be doing anything but accommodating this suddenly sorry soul, this crazed android that hunted in the dark. That fact alone should have had her door slammed shut and bolted for life, preventing her from every venturing back into the light of day. Ramona should have herself locked away for the insanity of her decisions. "They're good anyway, I'll let you try one. You can talk home and stuff while I mix," She rummaged through the cupboards, moving things in the fridge until she procured the proper tools for mixing her favorite alcoholic drink.

The Siren would have smiled, but facial expressions didn't really come naturally to Cel. She calls me dull... does the human not realize I can't infest food or drink? She decided not to bring it up, and simply watched Ramona go to work. "Talk... Home?" The human wished to hear of her home? That was... Unexpected. "Why don't you go there? Most of my people aren't much for words... Perhaps I more than most." Cel had emotions, but that didn't mean they were any good with them. They were still designed like creatures of logic, with feelings as an add-on.

Ramona forced a laugh past the bitter fear and her eyes darted nervously to the creature before back to her work. Fingers dancing across the ingredients, straining the liquid through the spices with partial concentration. She didn't dare allow her senses to wander, always keeping the creature in her thoughts. Not that it would be hard to forget that she had a killer android thing in her kitchen, staring at her like some kind of dumb kid. "Aaaah- No, I'm afraid I've had enough of strange planets and adventures my strange thing. No I meant, tell me about like, I don't know, what uranium does to help you 'get' home. Something, anything."

The Siren's finger twitches when Ramona addressed her as "thing" again. Was she doing that because The Siren was alien, or mechanical? Or both? "Surely you know of the nuclear power plants that give your world so much of it's electricity? Uranium will allow me to create enough electricity to power a small starship, and leave this planet for..." She tilts her head from side to side. "Alpha Centauri? Yes, that'll do nicely as a checkpoint." Alpha Centauri had fairly heavy ship traffic. A clever Cel such as herself could easily acquire more advanced transportation to go the rest of the way.

Ramona stopped for just a brief second before continuing. With a few twists and turns she finalized her drinks and smiled at her accomplishment. With a flourish she gripped the flutes and walked back toward the living room, motioning for the thing to follow. "Alpha Centauri what's that? Some kind of tourist attraction? Where 'is' home?" Curiosity shoved it's nose where it didn't belong but Ramona remained steadfast. Not quite ready to relax. But that didn't stop her from setting back into the couch, sitting her drink on the coffee table and holding the other out toward the creature.

It was then that she took the time to notice the scattered remains of her homework assignment and she was suddenly struck with horror. What the hell was she going to do about that? She had to turn that thing in tomorrow! And here she was trying to feed and alien drinks and talk about worlds that shouldn't exist. Ramona groaned and rolled her eyes. "Ah, yeah. So. Gotta name you?"

The Siren wasn't really feeling angry anymore, so she allowed herself to relax. She took the drink, but didn't drink it, and began thinking about her answers. "Alpha Centauri is... Neutral ground, I suppose." She sits somewhat awkwardly, not used to the motion, because Cel don't really need chairs or couches. "And home is... your sun, Sol, is in one arm of this galaxy about at the midpoint. Home for me is actually near the tip of this arm of the galaxy." Name? More like, she had a name. Nobody had called The Siren Seliena in a long time. Now it was always Arbiter, or Siren. Two titles that were hard to live up to, and one she didn't entirely understand. "My name is The Siren."

Ramona stiffened a little as the creature took her drink yet didn't sip from the glass. She instead eyed the flute with little concern and answered the questions off-handed like. Like she wasn't quite bothered to tell the truth but wasn't sure to tell a lie. Ramona found herself wishing for the millionth time that she had not invited the creature in to start with. Well not so much 'the creature' as 'The Siren,' now. Ramona snorted in response and filled her mouth with sweet daiquiri to help wash away the guilt that ate away at her chest. "Well that's a bunch of stuff I don't understand. Honest, Siren was it? I'm- Eden." Ramona fingered the stem of her flute with indecision while the opposite hand lingered over top of her laptop. Relishing in the cool, smooth surface of it's flap, at the same time grateful that it was still there.

She tilts her head towards Ramona. "It is a pleasure, Eden.." Her gaze drifts hungrily towards the laptop, well aware of what it is. The Siren pointed to the computer, using Ramona's touching it as an opening. "What is this?" She even managed to look curious. This is so slow! Why can't she bend to my will like a normal creature? Stupid, necessary human.
