Night of the Armada Empty
PostSubject: Night of the Armada    Night of the Armada I_icon_minitimeThu Oct 17, 2013 12:55 pm

((Closed for Myself, Kenny, Natty and Nikki))

Days spiraled in and out without end. Rain struck forcefully against the top of the tent covering an ill man surrounded by several other people. The ill man weakly held up a book which was quickly taken by one of the surrounding men. Nodding, the man peered down as the obvious leader slipped away from life. Within an hour a ship was cast and the man stood ideally in the middle of the ship, gazing at the man as the prepared the vessel. "Sir" A man suddenly called out, "Sir!" he said once more, running up to the man's side, "What is our setting?". The man peered down at the book then back up, glancing at the man for a brief second before turning his attention and body to the sea, "Spain" he replied in a thick Spanish accent.

3 days later..1732, Madrid, Spain

The sound of footsteps echoed throughout the great marble floored hallway as a carrier dashed through it. With the book firmly in hand, the carrier burst through the double doors, "Despierta Ferdinand!" he proclaimed to the guards. Within minutes, the guards had rushed to the side of the king of Spain, one of them lightly taping his shoulder to awake him. "Senor" the guard began, "Un portador tiene noticias .... de Ponce De Leon". Ferdinand froze upon hearing the last words escaping his guards mouth, suddenly jumping up to his side, ".. la fuente de la juventud ..." he mumbled before dashing out of the royal bedroom and into the throne room.

Modern Day..TARDIS, Destination: Earth

The Doctor looked over the note on the psychic paper once more before spinning on his heel and walking back over to Sonya, "Bit weird this message" he began again. Opening the psychic paper he showed Sonya the message, "Ayuda" The Doctor said with a sniff, "Ayuda .. ayudar a la eterna juventud....which means help..help bring eternal youth" he translated for Sonya. Letting her have the paper, The Doctor moved to the other side of the console, flipping its switches and working on it as the TARDIS spiraled through the time vortex, maneuvering throughout the time vortex on it's way to Earth.

"Even more weird is it's not modern Spanish" The Doctor commented as he continued to work on the controls, "It's a formal Spanish..hasn't been heard properly for hundreds of years. Well...few hundred. Most commonly used during King Ferdinands rule in Spain" he chuckled lightly, "He actually required all of his servants and people under his control to speak this sort of Spanish. Formal and upright..which means either someone went through a great deal to forge this or....we've gotten a message from eighteenth century Spain..brilliant isn't it?" he laughed.

"Wonder why they asked you. Eternal youth isn't exactly something you ask a random person. Unless Lady here seemed to think we could help..." Sonya murmured idly, studying the paper with a crease between her eyebrows in concentration. "Anyway, I'm sure you'll think of something." With a shrug, she flipped the paper shut and tossed it back over to the Doctor before turning to the controls and helping him pilot the TARDIS. "You know, from what I remember from history, Ponce De Leon went looking for the Fountain of Youth, but claimed he never found it." Pausing for a moment, she cast a look over at the Doctor, one of her eyebrows raised up in question. "But he wasn't seen or heard from much after that. A lot thought he was hiding his face from shame."

Turning her attention back to the controls in front of her, Sonya flipped a couple of switches to even out the flight before continuing. "I failed that semester because I claimed he found the fountain but never revealed that he did so he could keep it all to himself. My teacher didn't appreciate that much. I guess Leon was a personal hero of his or something." With a shrug, she wandered over to the other side and twisted a dial just as they landed with a soft thump accompanied by the usual groaning and grinding noises the TARDIS made whenever she materialized. "Come on then, might as well go see what trouble we can get into now. How much you want to bet I get myself tossed into a cell within the hour?"

Night of the Armada Empty
PostSubject: Re: Night of the Armada    Night of the Armada I_icon_minitimeSat Oct 19, 2013 12:28 pm

Robin sighed quietly, leaning on her hands as her elbows rested on her knees. Really. She knew the Doctor could be thick sometimes, but really. There is no way he just happened to get the coordinates completely wrong and managed to not notice that this was no where near 21st century England when he dropped her off. She could understand if he got the country off by a bit, or maybe the year by a few, but how in the universe did he leave her in 18th century Spain? Well it wasn't like she could go out and explore, not in the clothes she was wearing. Then again, it wouldn't be so bad for the zipper to be invented a century or so early, would it? Nah, not worth the risk. So here she sat, waiting in an alley for either the Doctor to realize his mistake, which could take all day, or for someone else she knew to magically appear and take her back where she needed to be.

Leaning back against the outside of the bakery she hid in the shadows of, Robin decided on spying on the locals for a bit. Heh, people watching in 18th century Spain. Guess she could cross that off the bucket list, then. It was definitely more interesting than watching in a time period you knew a lot about. Then again, you never know how easy it would to be caught... That thought had her staring ahead at the wall opposite her again, her expression the very definition of boredom.

((I really had no idea how I was supposed to show up here so just ignore how implausible my reasoning is >.>))

Lucius had been wondering around the forest for hours now. Shouldn't he be ridden by guilt? He was skipping out on math class though he hardly thought he'd be missed just as much as he thought it hardly mattered if he was present or not. The math they were doing was so utterly easy and boring he did it in his sleep. Count this, add this, subtract that, construct a model. He signed then, slowing in his exploration to pick up a stick and swinging it around in his boredom, clicking it against trees and occasionally using it as a walking stick.

Something felt odd then, static and surreal. The air was tense and caused the small boy to halt in his tracks. Before he could really response, whether to shrug it off or run, his vision blurred. Confusion washed over him and he clutched the stick close to his chest. At first all he saw was the browns and yellows of the woods, and now he was staring at a door with a mop propped against it. How in the world...?

Did he sleepwalk? Have a stroke? Did children even get strokes? Weird things like this had begun to happen ever since he encountered that silly blue box. Speaking of which, Lucius could have sworn he heard that now familiar hum coursing through his blood. With great reluctance and nervousness, the boy shifted the mop away and stepped through the door. He ended up in the hallway he recognized instantly before walking down the path and ending up in the console room of the TARDIS.

"Hi..." Was all he could think to say to the two people standing with their backs turned to him. The stick was still in hand, prepared to make itself useful if anyone posed a threat. The lanky man was one he'd never met before, the other he had. Lucius contained mixed feelings for the woman so chose wariness over anything else.

The Doctor listened partially to what Sonya had explained to him, "Well.." he began once she had stopped talking, "He didn't claim he didn't find it. He was killed..poisoned by the natives..well..from the reports anyways". The TARDIS roared, spiraling through the time vortex as The Doctor spoke, completely unaware of the events taking place, including the sudden appearance of the man behind him. Only thanks to the reflection in the glass portion of the control console did The Doctor see the figure of the man, and when he did he spun on his heel and turned his body, and attention, over to the man. "What?!" The Doctor exclaimed scrutinizing the man via his appearance and his clothes then finally his eyes before continuing, "How did you get inside of the TARDIS? It is literally moving throughout time and space, spiraling through decades, eons of stars and time. It's vertually impossible. Yet here you are just like Donna..well....not like Donna because Donna was Donna. Who are you anyways? Just a man that pops up in places, i don't know..maybe your a boglodite or a...".

The Doctor's ramble continued as he walked around the man, scanning him with his sonic screwdriver and other various devices he flipped from his suit pockets including an eye scanner which he held up inches from the man's eye.

((He's a little boy, David Razz))

Turning around, Sonya spotted the kid and blinked in surprise at his sudden appearance. "Tyler? What the hell are you doing here?" She asked curiously, following the Doctor over to him and crouching down to eye-level to study his expression before noticing the stick in his hands. "Your safe here you know, no one will hurt you." She added with a small smile on her face, tilting her head to the side and holding a hand out for him to place his meek weapon into. She wasn't one for being hit by a stick, no matter how flimsy.

"Tyler, have you seen Robin lately?" She asked suddenly, narrowing her eyes in thought. The last few times she had seen the kid, Robin was always nearby. And it wouldn't surprise her one bit if the girl popped out from a nearby closet herself and began talking about places she wanted to go and ignoring questions about how she managed to get into the closet. Straightening up, she caught the Doctor's arm as he continued scanning Tyler and looked over at him with one of her eyebrows raised up. "It's alright. I know him... Somewhat..." Looking over at him, she smiled slightly then pulled the Doctor away to speak with him in private. "He's Mal's son..."

"Mal's son?!" The Doctor said surprisingly and as quiet as he could, peering back over to the boy then over to Sonya, "We leave her on Earth for one month, one month and she goes and has a ki-". Suddenly the doors of the TARDIS echoed out a knock that caused The Doctor to slowly peer over his shoulder and cautiously make his way down the ramp and towards the double blue wooden doors. Extending out a hand to the door handle, The Doctor quickly yanked it open only to be immediately met by the tip of a sword, "Proceed no further Senor" the man exclaimed, "State you name, the girls, the boys, meaning of your arrival and how this thing appeared". The Doctor paused, glancing up slightly as he formulated a good response to the guard so that the blade would not be his end nor reach his companions that stood behind him. Slowly he reached into his suit breast pocket and flipped out and open the psychic paper, which still read the message.

"The Doctor...Sonya...Tyler..message for fun...and....more..fun" The Doctor finally replied slowly and in a mumble to the guards posed question. The guard snatched the message from The Doctor's hand and read it over quickly before sheathing his sword and directing them to follow him with his head, "Follow me". The Doctor smirked, stepping out further then turning around, raising his eyebrows jokingly before reaching inside of the TARDIS, snagging his trench coat and flipping it on, "Allons-y". "Prepare yourselves..you are about to meet Ferdinand the great king of Spain" The guard insisted, speaking back to the group in a thick Spanish accent before glancing behind him and at the attire of the trio, "Well..at least one of you is in nice attire". The Doctor withheld a chuckle, glancing over to Sonya with a grin slowly appearing before seeing her expression and repressing it down.

Lucius eyed the Doctor, feeling maybe he'd need a good smack in the head. But that would hurt and would be very rude, so the small boy simply stood very still as the man circled him. Shouldn't this feel threatening? It was amusing more than anything, but he was being asked a question he would like to know the answer of himself. How did he just show up on this ship? It happened once before but it was impossible. Eh, obviously not if it kept happening.

"Where's the Doctor?" He asked Sonya while hesitantly surrendering his weapon to her. It was more for confirmation more than anything. Lucius knew Sonya could fly this thing herself but the man accompanying her, or perhaps her him, spoke in a fashion that made the boy suspect this was a different face he hadn't met. When Sonya's question popped up he shook his head no but remained quiet. The last time he saw Robin was the time they were disarming bombs and whatnot..

Observing Sonya dragging the Doctor to the side sparked his interest. The man's exclamation just made him frown, however. Why was that such big news to everyone? His mother made it known she knew people but considering, no even once, they ran into them Lucius had began to wonder just how many she meant and why in the world they were never around. Of course in her absence he would meet the whole armada of acquaintances, friends, or whatever.

The knock on the door drew his attention, the whole event that took place made him curious. Okay, he was aware this thing was a time machine but he never imagined he'd be caught up in the past. This was cool though. And to make things even cooler they were being escorted to the king. That part really interested him. Unless, of course, they were ordered for a beheading or slavery...

"'S wrong with my clothes?" Lucius muttered under his breath as he shoved his hands into his pockets. Well, no matter, boyish excitement was sparking in his eyes, refusing to be dampened by insults.

"Everything apparently." Sonya mumbled under her breath, casting a sharp look over at the Doctor as they walked along the hallways, their footsteps echoing on the marble floors. "He can get by wearing that blasted suit in any place we go, but I so much as wear a fabric from two years before it's discovery, I'm pointed out and tossed into a cell for no reason while he goes swanning off to do whatever it is he does." Rolling her eyes skyward, she forced back a grin from the memories as they flooded her mind before turning back to Tyler with a small shrug. "You learn to either get used to it, ignore it or you can stay indignant and be upset every time someone makes a comment about your clothes. It's just easier to ignore it all really, I've learned to."

With that said, she turned back and picked up the pace to catch up with the Doctor and their escort. "So... The King, he wouldn't be one that wants to behead you or anything, would he. Because to be honest... That would be fantastic. I'm always the one getting into trouble, it would be nice to see you in the cell for once you know." Sonya said idly, an eyebrow raising up as she spoke, not even bothering to turn her head and see the expression she knew would have a grin plastered across his face. "And don't even say it's my fault because half of the time I'm tossed into a cell before I even say or do one thing anymore."

Night of the Armada Empty
PostSubject: Re: Night of the Armada    Night of the Armada I_icon_minitimeThu Oct 24, 2013 4:27 pm

"Actually, King Ferdinand that this time is only twenty-four" The Doctor replied with a sniff and smirk, the guard continuing to escort the trio into the throne room as two other guards open up the doors for them, "Took over from his father and immediately started going after the fountain of youth. Completely caught up in the lure of the legend. Sent fleets of ships..one of the last reported ships being captioned by Ponce De Leon...well...besides an undocumented armada heading over to the coast of Fl-". Before The Doctor could continue, a roaring, thick Spanish accented voice echoed throughout the great throne room, forcing all inside to shift their attentions directly towards it. In the center of the throne room stood the great throne sitting in the middle of two other chairs but all were currently unused as Ferdinand strode up to the trio with his team of advisers.

"You appeared in the blue box, yes?" Ferdinand stated towards The Doctor and the duo behind him, "Emm....yes..that we did. Umm..how..how do you know of the box?" The Doctor replied in a mumble. Ferdinand turned to his adviser to the left who in turn gave him a book which Ferdinand opened to a page and showed The Doctor, "It tells of a fountain. A fountain that can bring life to those who use it...but it also talks of a blue box and the people inside of it. When the blue box shall appear is will the fountain and path shall become clear. You come from the blue box..". Before The Doctor could even respond, Ferdinand ordered his advisers to prepare his armada and head straight for the coordinates given to them by the Ponce De Leon journal. The advisers nodded and rushed off to commit to the order while Ferdinand himself turned his attention once more, for only a split second, back to The Doctor and his friends, "Come. You shall accompany me on my ship".

Then just like that, Ferdinand too left the throne room, leaving The Doctor, Sonya and Tyler alone with the guards in the throne room, "Oh....well then. That escalated quickly didn't it?" The Doctor rhetorically stated as he turned around to Sonya and Tyler, a smirk growing on his face, "Allons-y?".

Night of the Armada Empty
PostSubject: Re: Night of the Armada    Night of the Armada I_icon_minitimeThu Oct 24, 2013 5:44 pm

Robin sighed, getting to her feet and peering out of the alley. This was simply too boring. No one would mind her clothing too much, right? If nothing else, it was her hair they should be concerned with, but after taking a few steps out into the open, it seemed that no one minded much. Then a rather rough group of men pushed past her, dragging her back into the darkness before she knew what was happening. Eyes widened as she tried to make her way out, managing to only annoy one of the gang members. That's what this was, wasn't it? A gang? Shame they spoke Spanish, though, she had no idea what they were saying. The one thing she did take out of it was 'Ferdinand'. That name... where did she hear that name before? Wasn't he a king or something? That, or he was against the king, this history was a bit far back from when she learned it, not always accurate on these sorts of things.

The next thing she knew, other, more important looking men were dragging each of the gang members out of the alley, giving her a momentary feeling of relief. That was, anyway, until she was grabbed and taken out, the man grabbing her shouting something in Spanish that she could not even begin to make out. What did she do? She wasn't related to those guys in anyway, what were they taking her for?! Well... it did look rather bad, didn't it...? She scowled at the rest of the group, deciding not to struggle in hopes they'd let her go... in case on of them spoke English, anyway.
