"Now then! Open those doors and you'll see a sight not seen by humans until the 25th century of your race." The Doctor proclaimed brightly, waving a hand at the doors to the TARDIS grandly, a wide grin on his face as he studied the new girl's face for a moment, his eyes practically shining with their own light while he waited for her response. "Go on then, you won't be attacked. Unless there's a fleet of brain worms nearby, they like to burrow into your eye, you wouldn't even see them, really tiny in fact, but the point is, my scanner says none of them are nearby so it's safe to open up, so go open the doors already."

((I'd reply but honestly, this just seems like something Gira should reply to *shrug*))

The Doctor's talk about Brain Worms made her cringe slightly, but she quickly shoved the thought of the worms out of her head. She released her grip around Robin's legs and rose to her feet. She proceeded casually to the door. She set her hand on the handle, hesitating she took a long breath and the pulled the door open.

Robin yelped, glancing down at her legs to see Gira clinging to them. Heh, new travelers, always some quirk about them that never stops being funny. Well, until they get used to the flight, that is. Her eyes returned to the Doctor as he explained their surroundings, raising an eyebrow at the mention of Brain Worms. Ew. Sure, go ahead and tell her about those, it's not like she's not scared already. Actually she didn't look all that terrified, maybe nervous, but she was handling it better than some. Rushing towards the door as she let go of her legs, she let her open them so she could get the full dramatic affect. Always more fun that way.

Peering out, she grinned brightly, slowly opening the doors the rest of the way as she knew the girl must be in some sort of awe, even small.

((I really have no idea what you're planning on here x_x))

With a wide grin, the Doctor watched as his newest companion opened the TARDIS doors to reveal nothing but the bright light of a dying star. "Ah, just in time too. Only a few minutes until it goes." Tucking his hands into his pockets, he walked over and stood next to her, watching the colors of the sun in front of them flash and change repeatedly in front of them, creating a strobe effect that caused the color of his skin flash different colors along with it.

"The last of the Vega system, dying out and leaving it cold and dark for the next five thousand years. Then, a small spark of life will wander into it, set adrift by a solar tide where it'll settle in the middle, gathering energy and small bits of rock to burn and glow brighter. Within five hundred years, it'll be a full-fledged sun. Another million, the first rock to be caught in it's gravitational pull will produce life and the circle continues on, forever." He murmured quietly, his blue eyes flashing in the lights while he stared at the sun with a thoughtful look on his face. "No one can escape the changing of time, every year something is new or different then here you are... Watching the last star of a solar system die right in front of you."

She felt herself stunned by his words, They felt so powerful in her ears and she just stared out upon the dying star as it fades from existence. "That's Incredible." she manages to say under the awe of the flashing colors of the star. She turned her head slowly and gazed at his bright blue eyes. She smiled softly to him and turned back to face the star.

Robin's grin faded to a simple, lazy smile as she watched the bright flashing colors of the dying star. Absolutely beautiful. His whole poetic 'one in a million' type speech only managed to top it off. But now she was bored. No offense to beauty and all but it can only be cool for so long. Especially when you're required to stand still. Quietly slipping away, she launched herself into the jump seat and watched the pair, letting them get acquainted. There was always that feeling when first meeting a new possible companion - that feeling that they don't honestly care that you're there and all they want to do is be with the Doctor. Not that she minded, honestly she couldn't say she wasn't affected by new passengers - she was a teenager, what would you expect? Still, it was best to give them their space for a mo and let them properly meet, then that whole 'woah alien space wow' moment could pass sooner.

Glancing down at his watch, the Doctor flashed a grin over at Gira. "Three... Two... One..." He murmured to himself before snapping the fingers of his other hand just as the sun flashed brightly then collapsed into itself in nearly the blink of an eye, leaving a small speck of light flickering in the distance before it too, was swallowed up by the darkness of space. "And there we are, the death of one of the oldest systems in the universe. Silent, dark and cold for thousands of years before hope is returned to it again." He said grandly, spreading his arms out to display all of space before them. "Millions of ships will pass through this area in only fifty years time without even knowing what had been here. No one will remember the star that shone until the end, no one will remember the species that had to leave their homes because of it."

Trailing off quietly, he stared at the blank vacuum of space in front of them, his smile slipping a fraction as he studied the darkness. "It won't be long before anyone or anything is forgotten. In twenty years, humans who saw me as a child won't remember. Shrug it off as if it were a dream. In one hundred years, no one will remember where that person is buried or the stories they told of a strange dream about an even stranger man."

The final bright flash given off by the dying star made her flinch a little. She moved back slightly but returned to her place the moment after. She listened carefully to his words, She was both amazed and saddened, but she kept a neutral face. He was right, soon everything, no matter how hard one, or many might try to preserve it will all be forgotten after a matter of time. She looked downwards into the black void of space and then up at the spot where the dying star once existed.
