| Species: Human / Cyber PlannerAge: 22 Gender: Female Occupation: College Student Status: "What is it, citizen?" ::Appearance:: Hair: Short brown hair usually around shoulder length unless she doesn't cut it for a long time. The longest it ever gets is just below her shoulder blades. Most of the time her hair is loose, only tied up when she's working or doesn't want it in her face. Eyes: A dark brown. They often reflect her emotions though sometimes they can be dull, or worse, sinister. Height: 5'5" - Not the shortest girl around, but she's not winning any contests. Figure: Rather average build, on the lean side though some may call her thin. A small bit of meat on her stomach and flat everywhere else. Her curves can only be seen with skin hugging clothes, or close to it. Otherwise she looks more like a rectangle. Other: A literal circuit board on the left side of her face. It begins just above the hairline, snaking down to end at the center of her cheeks. Three lights, two the size of the eraser end of a pencil and one the side of a penny, line this crisscross of silver. Clothing: Her clothes are a mismatch of T-shirts and jeans with occasional nice blouses thrown in. Her attire screams 'I threw on what I found' and sometimes the colors really clash. A jacket or sweatshirt is added during the chillier months. ::Info:: Family: Emma Baxter (Mother, 45) James Baxter (Father, 53) Personality: Nicole - A smart young woman with a slight anxiety problem. Large crowds and strangers can cause her to become nervous to the point of her having a panic attack. She's gotten better since her teen years but still suffers from attacks when under extreme stress. When in her comfort zone or around those she trusts, she displays a less shy side. She's more outgoing, willing to crack jokes and is more playful. She carries a sharp tongue though only uses it for fun and not for insults. Cyber Planner - As one would expect from the Cybermen; ruthless, cunning and only wanting to further the race it belongs to. The Cyber Planner does not refers to itself with any gender pronouns but uses 'she' simply for convenience. It is manipulative and will go to any lengths to get what it wants despite the consequences or morality of it.Strengths: She is able to recall any information she or the Cyber Planner knows. Accessing the Planner's data banks allows it access to her part of the brain. So if she gains information, so does it. Other wise it is usually unaware of her surroundings and interactions unless she allows it. She also can build things with scraps but has taken to avoiding workshops and tools. It always ends up being arms and legs akin to the Cybermen's. Weakness: Information beyond her 'human' comprehension or puzzles require more than her to think through causes her to go idle as the Planner processes the information. Paradoxes, impossible situations and certain, difficult riddles can shut her down for hours. Within the vicinity of other Cybermen her control slips. Likes: Everything a geek loves; video games, anime, Star Trek, space travel... etc. Dislikes: The Cyber Planner, her panic attacks, large groups of people Dream: To one day remove the Cyber Planner from her mind so she can live a normal life. History: - Click:
Nicole grew up in a typical, American home. Living in New York in some small village was a nice way to grow up. Rolling hills, big changes in seasons and a backyard full of wild creatures. Being an only child meant she was spoiled, but not enough to turn her rotten. Her parents fought sometimes, nothing serious, and they usually made up right afterwards. Since she was a child she hoped of becoming something great, her dreams ranging from being a star to finding a cure for cancer.
This meant she was very good in school, studying hard to keep her grades in the A range with occasional B's that drove her to try harder. She was in no way the best or top of her class but she was still smart. This continued until the third grade, just before her family moved west for better schools and a change of pace.
She was a shy kid, very withdrawn and spoke little to people but it didn't stop her from making friends. The moment her family moved, however, she became more reclusive. Her parents didn't understand why, and upon asking her she deflected their questions. It was simply because she wasn't truly their daughter anymore.
Perhaps it was a tear in reality, a piece from a ship crashing to Earth, who knows? It was days after they moved to Oklahoma that Nicole found herself the victim of chance; a wrong place at the wrong time sort of thing. As a little girl she enjoyed exploring away from her parents careful eye. She came upon some metal mice in the fields, laying by a large crater. Curious, she picked them up and brought them home in the hopes of showing her parents. When she got there she put them down on the table, wandering off to find something more interesting. The metal 'mice' were forgotten, allowing them time to feed of the technology around them.
In the middle of the night, young Nicole was converted. But the Cyber Planner was still corrupted, files missing important data. It was strong enough to maintain some sort of function, but not enough to control the young girl's mind completely. It ended up being shoved back, forced to lord over only a fraction what should've been a hundred percent. Nicole ended up growing up with an imaginary friend named 'the Planner'. And as she grew the Cyber Planner slowly expanded its territory.
So as she aged she became more aware of the Cyber Planner. She became more careful with the people she met in fear of becoming some government experiment. All the while the Planner continues to grow.
HOW DID YOU FIND US?: Gugure. --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- - RP Sample:
The Doctor, as the man called himself, was in trouble. Standing underneath one of the last refuges, and the refuge was slowly dying. And here she was, huddled in the light of some abandoned shop, watching him flail about as he tried to think his way out of it. On any other day, she would've simply walked away. His warnings about shadows and monsters would've been regarded as the ramblings of a madman. And from what she'd seen of him so far, he probably was mad. As she inspected the contents of the bag the Doctor had given her to carry, she wondered how she had managed to get into this situation in the first place. A voice whispered in the back of her head and her mind's eye briefly conveyed a clone of her sneering in contempt.
You're the one who took him up on his offer. The Cyber Planner reared its ugly head, smugly crossing its arms. It was bitter because she had so easily aligned herself with one of its worst enemies. Though her current experiences told her he was not the feared warrior the Cybermen were so frightened of, the man couldn't even hold a gun properly! We do not fear him, snarled the Planner, narrowing its eyes at her from inside her mind. He is merely a nuisance. One that will soon be gone.
The Doctor was still running around the lamppost, shouting incoherent things at her about helping him. She shook her head to clear her mind, refocusing on the task at hand. While the Planner did not want to admit it, the supposed Time Lord was their only ticket away from this planet. Her fingers found the contents of the bag and she looked over it with disdain. Several items were useless junk, though the food could offer her a nice snack. Her fingers brushed against the cold metal of an alien object and she pulled it out of the bag to see it better. Sonic screwdriver. Unlocks doors and turns things on and off, the Planner rambled off as it explained what it was. Point and think. Now point at that lamppost and turn it off.
She was tempted to do so and was horrified. "Shut up," she muttered under her breath, frowning as it laughed at her. See? What human would think of something so terrible? "Shut up!" She was louder than she anticipated, and the Doctor stopped his shouting to stare at her incredulously. She gripped the sonic screwdriver tightly in one hand.
"What are the Vashta Nerada?" An alien species common on several billion planets living within the trees. Mainly pests, and too small of a colony to cause more than a few rare disappearances. They are carnivores, eating anything made with meat. They dislike light.
Dislike light, huh? Nicole snatched up the flashlight, pointing it into the darkness. She inspected it a moment longer before shouting 'Head's up' and throwing it towards the Doctor. He caught it and began brandishing it like a light saber, pointing it at the not-shadows than encroached every time the light flickered. Her eyes searched the dark for what she was looking for. Not a few yards away she spotted a control panel. She held out the sonic screwdriver, pointed it at the panel and turned it on. "Come on... Work...!"
The panel sparked before the entire street grew bright, shadows retreating with the new additional streetlights. The Doctor cheered from his corner, quickly running over to her side of the street. The Planner grumbled angrily in the back of her mind. You should've stolen the TARDIS and left him to die.
