Wayward We Go

Licking at a chocolate ice cream cone, Lucius wondered down the busy street of London, England. He wasn't bothered by the people whisking this way and that, he was too occupied with his treat. Little did most people know, he also had a bag of sour sweets in his back pocket, waiting for him to pull them out and indulge in. Did anyone ever mention the boy had a massive sweet tooth?

The orphanage had decided to take a trip to London as they so often did; actually, the kids of Hopefelt found themselves on a trip to this place at least once every two weeks. Well, no one could complain since there were several shops to go to and places to see. One of Lucius' favourites, in fact, was buying sweets and going to one of the many parks to climb the trees, and that's exactly where he was going now.

Ivy had gone to the local park which was roughly two minutes away from her greenhouse. She nipped up into a tree and laid down on the branch, knowing it could carry her weight. She looked around and sighed a little in boredom. She hadn't planned to put any toxic lipstick on, so if someone attacked her she wouldn't be able to use that, although, she didn't exactly plan anything evil for the day.

Ivy sighed deeply and muttered to herself as she looked at the leaves of the tree, "Such pretty leaves... it is a shame that nature has to take these away every winter." She murmured before looking around, sensing someone coming but she shook it off and went back to admiring the leaves of the tree and she smiled to herself as she began to slowly close her eyes and take a small nap in the tree.

Entering the park, he shoved the rest of his cone down and quickly finished it up before slapping his hands together in an attempt to remove the crumbs. Lucius looked around as he wondered, quickly spotting a large oak and making for it. All those branches would make it a fun, tangled climb while the bulk of its thick leaves would keep him well hidden. Climbing was definitely one of his favourites and he doubted he'd ever get tired of it no matter how old he grew.

Starting at a run, his feet hit the trunk as he propelled himself upwards and snatched onto the first branch. He was small, yes, but that didn't mean he couldn't reach high things. His vertical jump was quite impressive for someone his age and size. One hand after the other, he manoeuvred his way around, twisting and pulling and moving around this and that to get higher and higher.

Upon pulling himself on a branch he determined would be perfect to lounge on, Lucius gasped in surprise to find someone already there. His eyes were wide but his manners were on autopilot, good thing, that. "Hello... 'm sorry, I didn't know someone was here. I'm Tyler." And, like any good boy should, he stuck out his hand for a proper shake.

Ivy knew she shouldn't have shook off her instinct as she felt something coming up the tree's branches. She opened one eye to see a little boy there, she then opened her other eye and blinked before sitting up on the branch and smiling, she shook his hand, "Hello. You have very nice manners, Tyler..." She complimented him before looking around and then back to Tyler, "My name is Ivy." She said with a happy grin.

"W-were you coming up this tree to rest? I-I can leave you to it, if you want?" She tilted her head with a small smile, she liked children but sadly her mutation wouldn't allow her to have kids of her own. "I could sense you coming up the tree... it is a thing I have... especially nature wise. You are probably wondering why I am covered in leaves huh?" She smirked slightly. "One word. Torchwood." She said with a slight growl.

Popping his head down from the top of the tree, a man looked at the two. "Hello Tyler, hello Ivy. I'm the Doctor." He introduced himself. A machine that looked like a television remote in his right hand, he waved it around. It had an antenna, and a dish. "Don't mind me, I'm just searching for universal anomalies. Strange things have been happening, just wanted to check them out. But don't let me stop you, continue whatever it is you are doing in this tree." He says, trying to find his footing before a branch snaps beneath him, almost causing him to fall.

Morgan smiled, hanging upside down from a nearby tree from the others. Her long brown hair was tangled, messy, and filled with leaves, and jeans were a little dirty as well from a few trips, slips, and scraps she'd gotten along the way to the park. Her bag was leaning against the trunk of the tree, upon the same branch she hung from. She'd been going on one of her many "adventures" and planned to spend the night, perched in this tree, gazing at the stars. Hopefully her brother Alex wouldn't mind. "You may want to watch your step, Doctor. Don't want to take a tumble, that'd be one nasty fall you'd have." She warned him with a smirk.

Ivy looked down at the man underneath her and her pupils dilated and her eyes widened as she found out his name was The Doctor. She quickly jumped down from the tree and looked to him with a glare, "Doctor... oh I have missed you." She smirked and when The Doctor broke the branch beneath him Ivy growled, "Hey watch it, Time Lord!" She shouted angrily, "How many times do I have to tell you?! No braking branches and twigs! It must've been the billionth time I have warned you about it!"

Ivy then took a deep breath to calm herself down and she looked behind her to see a girl hanging upside from the tree. Her face lightened and she smiled, "Ah, hello.... who are you?" She asked curiously, tilting her head with a smile, she walked out from the shade of the tree she had been in previously and her whole body was now fully visible. The leaves; her red hair, everything.

Anastasia leaned up halfway, as if to do an upside down bow as she stuck out one arm in a welcoming manner, the other hand at her chest. "Anastasia Marie Crystl, pleasure to meet you!" She grinned cheekily. "Cal me Anastasia. Or Ana. Or Marie...or Crystl...I respond to anything, really!" she giggled. Flinging herself upward, she flipped off the tree onto the ground, landing on her right knee and left hand gracefully. "Now let's see here...I know you're the Doctor," Anastasia begins, pointing at him as she stands and dusts herself off, "but I don't recognize the other faces. Well, no, you look familiar, I've seen you many times at this park, haven't I?" she changes her pointing towards Ivy, raising an eyebrow.

"You have powers?" Lucius said in awe. The way his mother had sounded upon explaining things to him- the short while they were together- she made it sound like they were the only ones. Was it this Torchwood's doing that allowed people to be so different? Perhaps. He wanted to ask and feed his curiosity but the head of an unfamiliar man poked up between the branches, causing the small boy to start. And then he was gone, slipping through the branches and though Lucius wanted to snort in amusement, he was a bit concerned for the bloke.

Where were all these people coming from- whoa, wait, what did he say? Doctor? Lucius promptly swung between the branches so he was face to face with the Doctor, leaning in close as he inspected the man before giving him a poke in the forehead. "If you're the Doctor where's your TARDIS? I always know when the TARDIS is here. Where is it? How come I've never met this face before?"

"Well young one, this face is new, well to my standards anyway. A few centuries old. And the TARDIS is 2 blocks from here. I can't just park a police box in the middle of a park! Don't be silly." The Doctor says to the boy. He pulled out his sonic screwdriver, with a purple light. It was similar to 11's, just without the prongs, and it was silver and black. "This proves I'm the Doctor, if you don't believe me. Now then, which versions of me have you met?"

Ivy looked to The Doctor, "I have met you multiple times and... well, let's just say you don't necessarily like me." She grumbled before crossing her arms and glaring at him a little. "I have seen your multiple forms and quite frankly... none of them have ever pleased me by their looks; they have low standards." She murmured as she looked away slightly and looked towards Tyler, she smiled at him gently and a vine came up and wrapped itself around Tyler before tickling him to make him laugh.

She grinned cheekily at Ivy. "Call me Anastasia. Or Ana. Or Marie...or Crystl...I respond to anything, really!" she giggled. Flinging herself upward, she flipped off the tree onto the ground, landing on her right knee and left hand gracefully. "Now let's see here...I know you're the Doctor," Anastasia begins, pointing at him as she stands and dusts herself off, "but I don't recognize the other faces. Well, no, you look familiar, I've seen you many times at this park, haven't I?" she changes her pointing towards Ivy, raising an eyebrow.

Sitting at a park bench, silently listening to everyone talking in the trees, Dakota thinks about all the people she misses in her life. From the conversation of everyone in the trees, they all somehow knew each other. I miss Alexa, Dakota thinks to herself. Her best friend was still mad at her, after four weeks. Dakota also had no idea where her siblings were, unfourtunately. Slowly making her way toward everyone, she waves.
"Yeah, hello everyone! Ivy, Doctor, Tyler, and... Ana?
I dunno if any of you know me, I'm Dakota. So what are we talking about here?
Dakota is now standing right below them, looking sraight up.
