The Arrow's Weakness

Artemis watched the Cyberman and her eyes widened when it started to shake and revel in pain. She looked to The Doctor and she ducked down and felt herself being engulfed in a hug, she looked to see it was The Doctor and she smiled, she looked over to the Cyberman and watched as it exploded.

She took The Doctor's hand and used her strength to pull herself up, she let out a small giggle, "I guess I did work that panel right." She then heard the echoes of explosions and she wobbled a little at the shakes that came around the room because of the explosions from what she thought was the other remaining Cybermen.

Artemis looked up at the red lights that flashed overhead and her eyes widened, "That's not good..." She said, syncing with The Doctor. She nodded at him and rushed out the master control room after him and she ran by his side and she glanced behind and saw the walls were engulfed with flames. She reached out and grabbed The Doctor's hand, "Come on Doctor, you need to Allons-y faster!" She smirked at him slightly as she ran faster, pulling The Doctor with her as she bolted to the TARDIS.

The Doctor smirked at Artemis's remark, dashing after her as she passed him and increased her speed to the TARDIS doors which opened with a snap of his fingers. Rushing in after Artemis, The Doctor slammed the doors shut behind him and jumped up at the control console, his arm reaching out and grabbing the lever just in time to yank it down. The TARDIS dematerialized just as the Cyber-ship exploded, sending debris across the galaxy, leaving nothing in its wake but shinning remains of the ship. With the TARDIS spiraling normally through the time vortex, The Doctor sighed a sigh of relief as he lay on the ramp floor of the TARDIS, a smile emerging on his face as he stayed silent before breaking out into a laugh. "Hahahaha!!" The Doctor proclaimed, shooting up and glancing at the scanner before peering over the time rotor in search of Artemis, "Artemis, you alright over there?" he asked with a grin displayed happily across his face.

Artemis rushed into the TARDIS and looked to The Doctor as he shut the doors behind them. She smiled as she watched him jump to the control console and she watched as he reached out to the lever. She felt the TARDIS start to go through the vortex and she sits on the chair at the side of the TARDIS and she looked down, not saying a word... not until The Doctor asked if she was alright, she looked to him and nodded a little, "F-fine..." She stuttered out and did a fake, small smile at him; she didn't want to worry him. She was upset at herself and slightly angry too, she knew if she hadn't been shot and stabbed in that alleyway... The Doctor wouldn't have had to worry about the Cybermen and she wished that she hadn't even gone into that alleyway to help... which she thought was stupid and selfish of her to think.

As the TARDIS began to settle from its sudden take off, The Doctor released a sigh as he placed his hands into his pockets and made his way slowly over to Artemis. "You sure?" He asked once more, making sure his friends mind was at ease as he could clearly tell that she was not physically harmed by scrutinizing her quickly with his eyes then darting them back up to her face. "After living for over a hundred years i have come to figure out quickly which of my enemies is at work" He suddenly commented, speaking out of term and rather spontaneously, "Especially the Cybermen! Because! The transmissions from the Cyber-leader have to be transmitted into each Cyberman. A transmission the TARDIS can pick up on".

Turning around in a sudden spark of energy and excitement, The Doctor scavenged through a compartment on the side of the console until finally finding a silver ring. "Ha! Found it!" He proclaimed as he held the ring up then peered over to Artemis, "It's a bio-damper..commonly used to hide the biological make up of it's wearer, but! I can rewire it to pick up on the Cyberman's transmissions. Instead of hide the wearer's DNA signature, it can instead monitor for those transmissions. Uses the same technology the hide the signature, just have to rewrite a few things in the mechanisms". Sniffing, The Doctor grinned happily before gesturing to the control console and handing her the ring, "Wanna set it up? The TARDIS can do it but there's a few things that need to be done first. Figure that you'd..well..i don't know..maybe want to do it?".

Artemis slowly looked up at The Doctor and she nodded a little. "I am sure..." She sighed a little. She then blinked as he started to speak out of topic and she looked down a little at the mention of Cybermen and the Cyber-leader, it was confusing to say the least and she was slightly shaken from the experience of before.

She looked up to see what he found and it was a silver ring, she blinked at it curiously before standing up off the chair and walking over to The Doctor slowly, she took the ring gently from his hands and she looked at it with a small smile, she looked to The Doctor and nodded a little, "Sure, I'd like to set it up... but you'd have to help me of course." She said before she gently petted the blue in the middle of the console controls and she heard a small groan from the TARDIS as if the TARDIS liked her, she blinked in confusion, "Erm... did I do something?"

"TARDIS is saying hello" The Doctor smirked, glancing over at her as he worked over the controls, "Alright, come over here" he instructed her, gesturing with his hand. "First place the ring in the slot right here. Then pull over the scanner...the screen, looking thing there there. Alright, now with that done you need to activate the neutrino crystals and feed them into the ring. The scanner will take you through the steps, just tap the button that comes up on the scanner and turn the orbital sphere everything you see a yellow outer circle on the top left hand corner of the screen" As he spoke, The Doctor pointed out the various systems of the control console in front of her, from the scanner, to the sphere and the pump that delivered the crystals. While she was busy working on that, The Doctor jumped to the other side of the control console and began working on that side. Helping her deliver the crystals into the proper system of the matrix, making sure that they did not end up some place they should have or be.

Artemis looked to The Doctor and she smiled, "The TARDIS is a beauty." She said happily as she patted what looked like a tube with glowing blue in the middle. She walked over to him and nodded every time he said about different things, like the pump, the sphere and the scanner. She finally nodded after he finished, "Ok, I've got it." She grinned a little before beginning to do as he told her.

She put the ring into the slot and then pulled the scanner over, she then tapped the golden circle thing in the left hand corner of the screen and it took her through the steps on how to activate the neutrino crystals and she slowly fed them into the ring. "I've done what I need to, now what?" She asked The Doctor, with a tilt of her head.
