| https://docwhorp.forumotion.org/t612-2013-christmas-event-signupCyberleader 93-A's head turned slowly to face Unit 177-B. "Report," it spoke, it's voice grinding with a metallic edge, devoid of all emotion. "Power source, 3% success rate. Dark Matter proving... elusive." the cyberman reported. 93-A stood in silence for a moment with a visible change of any nature. "Conversation process?" it asked finally, breaking the silence. "113 successful conversions and counting." A scream echoed throughout the facility. Neither cyberman reacted, it was simply another human being replaced. UNIT commander Miles Higgins, a tall muscular man with no hair and a faint layer of stubble dotting his chin, stared in disbelief at the nervous blonde woman in front of him. "113 disappearances in the last month, and you're saying you can link them to the natural disturbances?" he demanded. The woman nodded, pushing her glasses back up the ridge of her nose. The TV was muted but the screen showed the disasters plaguing Earth at this moment in time. Tidal waves, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and more. Scientists were attributing it to the moon, something disturbing the surface up there. Nate didn't understand the science of it all but he had seen enough to know what was going on. He sat at the bar, drink in hand, staring distantly at the screen behind the counter while a tired looking waitress washed out a glass with a cloth in one hand, the other hand resting on her hip. Cyberleader 93-A looked over it's legion, mining away at the moon's surface in search of power to fund their crusades. One of the last legions left standing after the great war, it was their mission, their responsibility. Humanity would be casualties of war, but necessary ones. There were more abductions every day, people were plucked from the planet, beamed up to the moon and converted at the most efficient rate the legion could manage. They were then set to work in harvesting the materials in Earth's moon. They needed more workers every day due to the distractions posed by their rivals. In their first days a tomb had been discovered. A cyber-tomb containing a rebel battalion, defects that sought to eliminate all other Cybermen after their sentence of execution for a failed mission. Their rogue actions were not discovered until after they were awakened and a civil war had broken out, each side inhabiting one half of the moon, and darting out when they could to provoke each other. It was a bitter war with no end in sight, unless something, or someone, was found to speed up the process. As these events transpired, another seven humans were taken from Earth. Seven individuals who now found themselves in the cyber-facility on the moon. "Step forward and prepare for conversion..." the steel-cold voice of the cyber-doctor rang across the hall, the whirring of the circular blade at the end of his arm filling the chamber as it approached on it's victims with no mercy, or emotion of any kind, gleaming from it's eyes... | |

| Braxien's pupils dilated, his palms grew sweaty. He had only accepted this crazy, psycho job because he needed money. But now? He was going to die and his travel device was of no use anyway. These metal creatures were known as cybermen and had filled in the rest, he was going to become basically like them.
"I'm really going to hate myself for this..." He mumbled. "Hey! Cyberthingys! One of your prisoners are escaping!"
Braxien took to his heels and ran, left and right. The cybermen were made of metal but were extremely fast. He turned left. Cybermen. He turned right. Cybermen. They had enclosed him, against a metal pipe, most likely for electricity. An idea came to him.
Beep! Beep!
Braxien nearly jumped for joy, his device was working again! He turned to the cybermen, breaking the pipe, which swung in various directions. Not electrocuting but batting them to one side. They recovered and continued to march towards him, arm outstretched, chanting: 'Delete, Delete!"
He grinned, placing his hand on the necklace. "See ya later, suckers!"
He teleported and he arrived...somewhere, still there were people and still...cybermen.
"I really hate you sometimes." He muttered to the device. He started to walk towards the other people, they were not expressing any need to run. He pressed his device again and again, he teleported.
"Who the hell are you?" A soldier asked.
"I could ask you the same question."
"You're inside a secure facility of UNIT HQ, how did you get inside?" The soldier asked again, his rifle aimed at Braxien's head.

| Bailey looked around her as she stuffed the food from the table into her bag. Everywhere she looked, the silver men seemed to be marching toward her. With a sigh, she slung the bag onto her shoulder and ran to the nearest building. She tugged on the door handles as hard as she could, but they wouldn't budge. This girl isn't getting caught by those things. She thought as she moved around the building to the fire escape and began climbing. Silver men, I don't remember any militaries with silver uniforms. Bailey thought to herself as she nearly collided with a passer-by on the stairs. |

| ((Sorry I lost track of the order, if it isn't right, tell me and I will post it again in the right place.))
Gun in his face? Check. A trigger-happy UNIT soldier? Check. An unanswered question? Check. Braxien knew that his odds weren't good but he had a fairly good explanation which may sound crazy.
"Could you put the gun down? There are cybermen on the way to convert millions and you're worried about one person? Can you even prioritize?" Braxien grumbled the last few words under his breath.
The soldier tilted his head as his commander stepped from behind him. Maysmith followed by another man, presumably called Miles."Stand down. This man's right. So, Cybermen, huh? What are they exactly?"
Braxien brought his hand to his face, a facepalm. "Cybermen? Bullets won't be enough to penetrate metal, trust me. I've seen it. They want everyone to be made like them. Electrical hands, so don't bother with close combat."
Miles put the pieces together in his mind, the number of human population had dropped significantly and never was found, "These Cybermen, why do they need humans?"
"Didn't I just BLOODY explain?"

| The passer by, on the stairs, was 13. Catching up with her, The Doctor stopped her."Promised myself I would never say this but ,come with me if you want to live. So basically, run." He says dashing off. "Those are cybermen, semi organic, semi cybernetics. They want world domination, human eradication. Oh, I like that. It rhymes." He talks to Bailey. Why were the cybermen doing this now? After all this time, today was the day they made their move. 113 people gone, how many of his friends were part of that number? They needed to be stopped, and he was the one to do it, and it was gonna be groovy. | |

| Bailey quickly uttered an apology as she listened to the man's tale. Everything seemed to be coming out of a children's story book, but she couldn't stop herself from following the crazy man, keeping up with his pace as they dashed up the stairs. Cybermen? So does that make them computers? She thought to herself as she started to stumble running so fast. "Can we slow down a bit? Cybermen? Living computers? Where are they from, China?" Bailey asked, focusing on keeping her footing as they made it to the top of the stairs. "What would China want with us? We aren't a threat to them, and we don't owe them anything."
I should never have left the safety of the boarding school. I should have just became an assistant teacher or something. Bailey thought to herself before looking up at the man who was helping her. He had to know something more about what was going on, and she needed some way to stay safe. What if he leads you to the police, you are a wanted girl? Her mind raced as she thought of everything she had done, everything she had stolen, every life she took for someone else's better day. "I'm sorry, where are my manners? Name's Jane. Bailey if you have to, but I prefer to go by Jane for the moment." There was no way to tell how easily Bailey could trust this man, but he was all she had at the moment, and that was enough to give him a name. |

| Cameron huffed as she ran, constantly glancing behind her at the incoming Cybermen. This was not good. Not at all. Bloody things, why couldn't they just leave her alone?! Her narrowed eyes scanned the darkness of the street, trying to find some place she could hide or something. She hated this. Absolutely hated it. She didn't have anyone to call for help, and she didn't even know where she was at this point. Just that there was a building with a fire escape in front of her and that Cybermen must be slow at stairs. Right? She bloody hoped so.
The sound of her feet rang out in the near silence - the only other noise being of the marching feet of the metal men. If those thing could feel pain, she swore, she'd make them be the ones running from her. Of course, she wasn't that tough, or strong to be honest. That fact only agitated her further. As she climbed up the fire escape, she didn't bother looking back to see how close they were. It wasn't going to help in the slightest. Passing by a security camera on the outside of the building, she dashed inside - unaware of the thing perched there on the wall. The Cybermen, however, did not like the attention. One stopped in its march and aimed its arm up at it, shooting it down in a matter of seconds. How many CCTV cameras was that now? Must have been quite a lot - yet no one seemed bothered enough to notice them going down. The machine quickly resumed the pace with the others, falling into line easily.
Cameron scowled at the voice in her head, chipping up and telling her she could go now. That she should calm down. Bloody Robin, what did she know? She was always in charge, but it was time this personality got a chance to roam. She spotted the other two running and made to join them, thinking they must know something about this mess. At the very least, they had to have seen the things to be getting away from them so fast. 'Oi, you lot, any idea what's going on?'

| Braxien was then handed the 'all-clear' after explaining it over fifteen times, he walked outside and saw metal men invading the HQ.
"You brought us bad luck!" Screamed one soldier. "We are the only ones left! We'll hold them back, you, run!" Screamed another.
Braxien sprinted down the corridor, ramming into the cybermen. They hadn't reacted quickly enough, which seemed to be good luck at the time. Bullets bounced off the metal as they made their way toward the soldiers.
He cold hear faint screams, he closed his eyes. They had risked their lives in order to keep him free but what had it mattered? The cybermen were humans, once upon a time. Braxien opened his eyes to see what he was running into and sure enough, it was a pole.
"Cybermen…cyber meaning computers? Then they could be given a virus…unless they were macs…" Braxien joked to himself, but a part of that sentence made sense. The cybermen could be defeated by a virus but he didn't know which. That and the fact that he hand' much experience around computers.
He broke out into mre chaos after surfacing from the UNIT HQ. People ran in all directions and the cybermen slowly advancing towards them, the metal feet making a menacing sound against concrete. He ran, ran right into a group of people.
"Sorry, excuse me…" Braxien said, looking over his shoulder.

| "Not China, aliens! And Stop jumping to conclusions Ms.Jane. Ha, Chinese attacking us, that's ridiculous, but aliens are all too real. Jane, I'm the Doctor, I'm 13,543 and I'm a Timelord. An alien race that travels through the stars and through time itself. And this..." He says as he reaches the top of the building, "is my ship." He points at the police box. "Oh hello!" He says to the new comer. "It's Cybermen, half organic, half cybernetic. Kind of like the Terminator, but less foreign, less accent. And have I seen you before?" He looks at this new girl. She seemed familiar. | |

| "Well, aren't you a little optimistic." Bailey smiled as she looked at the police box. It looked like an ordinary police box, like the ones in museums and randomly on the street corners. None of them worked anymore, and no one seemed to ever have a key to them, but they made great hiding places when Bailey needed one. Bailey looked over at the new girl and relaxed, thinking to herself. there's no reason to be worried, at least you aren't the only one following this crazy guy. "So what do these computer terminators want with us? We haven't done anything to start a war with aliens. Unless you consider the mars landing as interfering, in which case, we didn't know." Bailey turned to the new girl and smiled. "Hello, names Jane, nice to meet you." |

| Braxien looked between the group of people, an eyebrow raised on their intresting conversation. He folded his arms and looked behind him.
"If you don't mind, I have a virus to get and the cybermen are kind of coming up behind us?" He said hurriedly, bouncing off his toes. He had no idea that cybermen could be that stealthy.
He began to walk around the blue box in curiousity before his travel device glowed and he suddenly found himself back in the converting area, they had gathered more people in the absence. He ducked behind a wooden crate, his breathing irregular and forced.
"Why now and why here?" He muttered to himself.
A cyberman turned in his direction and Braxien forced himself against the crate. "Human detected. Find the human!"
Braxien had to swallow back a lump growing in his throat, pressed the device once more and...nothing happened. He rolled his eyes, what luck I have. He tried again and again, frantically pressing at his device until a familiar beep occured.
He squeezed his eyes shut and cracked one open to see himself laying on the floor. "Hi again."

| Nate looked around, he had to admit this didn't look good. He'd had a phone call from Commander Higgins at one of the various UNIT bunkers across the globe calling him in as a consultant once more. Only now he wasn't on Earth. Nate was on the moon amongst another group of people, ready for cyber-conversion. It was thoughtful of the cybermen to make their moonbase facility breathable, Nate thought. The steel-plated warriors were everywhere. Nate closed his eyes as the the metallic clang of footsteps echoed throughout the chamber: the Cyber-Doctor advancing on it's prey.
Nate gulped. He couldn't let them tear these people apart. He had to act. Something. Anything. He just had to have a plan. There's always a way out. His eyes clicked open with a grin. "Stop!" he ordered. The metal man did, confused as what possible threat this fleshling could be. "Let them go..." Nate said gesturing to the others, "It's me you want. I'm the Doctor..."
The Cyberman paused. "Impossible," it spoke slowly, "Your biological life signs are off, you are human." Nate paused now: "... Sonic Screwdriver?" he tried. The mechanical monster seemed satisfied. He left the others alone now, grabbing Nate by the wrist and forcing him along and out of the chamber. "Come with me," it ordered. Nate didn't really have much of a choice. "Sure..." he muttered with a shrug and a smirk, "Take me to your leader."

| Cameron rolled her eyes at the nagging voice in her head, yelling at her to let her out before she caused any damage. What damage? If anything, these morons would be the ones to break something. Instead of focusing on all the chaos around her, she crossed her arms and pretended to watch while arguing with herself.
Robin, leave me alone. You aren't fit to handle this. No! You don't know these people, I trust them! Bloody moron! Don't you see they're just going to get us killed?! Oh because you're doing any better right now? Ugh! Fine, go and die, see if I care.
Robin blinked her eyes, looking around before realizing what was going on. Ha! See, this is why she never let Cameron out willingly. Looking up at the Doctor, she felt her lips curl into a cheeky grin. 'Oh, probably loads of times, but none that I remember all to well. The Doctor, yes?' And then Brax appeared. She yelped, jumping back and looking down to see what happened. 'Seriously? How come you haven't trashed that thing yet?' Crouching next to him, she offered a hand to help him up. Now what to say to Jane? She'd met her before - with the Vashta - but obviously she hadn't gone through that yet. Turning her head to an uncomfortable angle, she grinned up at the woman. 'Yes, nice to meet you. Again. Don't ask.'

| Nate glared at the Cyber-Leader. "You know who I am. Leave this world in peace or face the consequences..." his eyes dared the metal men to doubt him. "You are not the Doctor. You lie." it spoke. "You will be... upgraded." Nate swallowed. "Well... that's not what I was hoping for actually..." Nate turned to run but was cut off by two cyberguards. "Take him to the conversion chamber. He is a suitable candidate for proceedure 3-7-9-A-C..." Nate cried out as he was dragged away but his pleas landed on dead ears. Dead. Metal. Ears.
The Cyber-Leader turned to a nearby unit. "Commence operation gamma. Destroy the Earth and harvest it's core for resources. Let none stand in your way!"

| Braxien sighed as he got himself back up. On seeing Robin, he yelped in surprise at her sudden appearance. He composed himself and gave everyone a nervous chuckle.
"The thing is, this device is a prototype which I never bothered to fix and it malfunctions most of the time anyway, so, cybermen…can they be defeated by a virus?"
Braxien turned in a full circle on his heels, clicking his tongue against his roof of his mouth. He wasn't really used to having a danger so close, that they could feel their breath, metal breath against their necks.
"I teleported back into their conversion base, peeked around, tons of cybermen and people ready to become…them. They said that there was an escaped human nearby, I panicked and bam! I'm back here, but they've increased in size."
He fiddled with the insides of his pockets, unsure of what to say next. He wanted to run but seeing that safety in larger numbers, he would stick around for a while longer.

| Bailey turned to look at the new arrival and smiled. "I'm Jane." She said just before she watched him disappear. "Ok, so what do we do about the cyberthings?" Looking down at the street, Bailey watched as people ran away from the silver creatures. Some, not getting far enough from them, getting pulled away from their families and taken away. "They are just computers right? So, where's the off button?" |

| "Don't be so daft. There's no off button, unless you want the planet destroyed. And virus might work. Never tried it before. Anyway, everyone, into the police box! No time to explain, but its a spaceship, and a time machine." He rambles as he pushed open the doors on the box, revealing the whole 'bigger on the inside' stuff. "They're gathering humans for something. I don't know what, but something. And I need all of your help to stop it, so what do you all say?" He asks them. Who would ever refuse a life endangering, possibly explosion filled, death trap such as this? | |

| Millions found themselves stood outside their homes staring up at the sky, once a brilliant blue, now a dark purple, spreading like a disease across the open air. Cyber-Operation Gamma had been commenced. The Cyber-Leader appeared on every mechanical screen across the globe, no mercy in its silver eyes: "Attention planet Earth. You have 3 hours until destruction. Do not mourn. Do not fear. Do not resist. You will be upgraded."The screens fell dead as all power cut out on Earth.
Nate screamed out on the station as the whirring blade pierced into his skin. This wasn't a normal upgrade. This was something different. Something special. Whether it was the orders of the leader or a defect in the surgeon's programming, but it made no attempt to remove his emotions. It barely seemed to touch his body as it worked. It cut off bits one at a time and fitted new limbs. A new eye, a new forearm. It turned it's attention to his leg but something stopped it. It paused, cocked it's head to the side then turned away and marched out as if following some sort of signal. The door shut behind it. It clicked back to normal but with no memory of the partially upgraded human it was now guarding. The buzzing in its ear, guiding it, was gone now.
There was a flash in the room and Nate was gone. He blinked, one eye still natural, the other a dimly lit green. "My god Nate, where the hell were you?" Agent Sophie Smith cried in disbelief upon seeing him. She worked for a black ops anti-alien organisation known as Leviathan and had worked with Nate several times before. She'd transported him to one of their underground bunkers unaware of where she was beaming him from. "The world's gone dark Nate, it took our last surge of power to get you here. We need all hands on deck. We need the Doctor. You've worked with him before, can you contact him? Please?"
Nate felt the metallic plating on his body, barely any but enough to have stripped him of at least some of his humanity. Oh well, who wants a normal life anyway. Nate grinned: "I might have a way." He produced a small tube from his pocket with a red light at the end. "One use only. I'd better make it count. Allons-y!" With a click the tube jumped into life once again, this time transporting Nate to the nearest time lord. He really hoped it was the Doctor...
