She was born in Dresden, Germany, her parents 3rd generation German-Jews. Her father was a solider in the Great War, serving in the German Army at the time. He managed to survive and set up a Tailor's in Dresden, until it was ransacked during the Nazi instigated Kristallnacht, (Night of Broken Glass). At a young age, Claudia was very outgoing and happy, but as time progressed and things grew worse, she became quiet and shy. She loved attending school, but only made a few friends, having a high level of trust. As Anti-Semitic laws grew stronger, she was banned from attending school, and spent most of her days reading, sometimes banned writers like H.G Wells, one of her favorites. In late 1940 she went into hiding, living in the attic of her house. Her family led fake clues, stating that they fled to the Netherlands, (Unoccupied at the time). Eventually the SS raided her home and in the confusion she managed to escape with a small suitcase filled with her most personal belongings. As stated earlier, her parents and brother were shot. As of now, she's on the outskirts of Dresden, seeking passage out of the country, but as each day passes, the Nazi's advanced further into Europe, she's worried she may not make it.
How did you find us?: I searched for Doctor Who Roleplay and this was the first site to appear
Roleplay: It rained lightly on the city of Dresden, but no one was there to bother about it, most were at home, celebrating the latest
success of the Wehrmacht, as it steamed it's way into France and the lower countries. Well almost everyone. Young Claudia Altermann clutched her small suitcase, and hugged her long trench coat, as the harsh gale blew in her direction, gripping her slender body. She kept her head down, and avoided any military personnel at all costs, they began checking papers on an average basis now. She turned the corner, trudging along slowly, trying to look inconspicuous. At the end of the street she saw two lonely soldiers, standing on the sidewalk, smoking a cigarette. She noted their bored, they probably longed for the glorious front, instead of being stuck in Dresden. Still, cautiously she crossed the street, instead of turning around and attempted to walk past them unmolested. As Claudia was about half way across the street a young man called, one of the soldiers "You, hey! Ya yeah you! Come here! What are you doing with that suitcase? Aren't Juden are you?" Claudia froze with fear, they'd kill her on the spot or worse send her to one of those camps she'd heard about. The men laughed and slowly walked towards her. In an instant she bolted off, trying her hardest to escape. But they were in hot pursuit, catching on to her fast. In an attempt to shake them, she ran into an alleyway. A wave of fear came over her as she noticed a man at the other end of the alleyway, staring at her. She froze again, the soldiers almost turning the corner to were she was, and the man staring at her from the other end. She quietly muttered to herself "I'm done, I'm done for, this is it". Claudia ran, running toward the man, not even caring anymore, read to accept her fate.....
