| Emma technically wasn't supposed to be taking any cases. But the whole BAU team was out of state on another case right now, so who else was going to stop this new serial killer who'd started killing people in the FBI's very backyard, Washington DC? Emma may not be an official FBI agent yet, much less a real BAU member, but she knew she was just as good as them. She just didn't have a team to help out.. Yet.
While Derek and the other agents were gone handling a case in California, Emma had become aware of several recent deaths with the exact same COD and all that. Naturally, she had to investigate. technically, she should've contacted Agent Hotchner, or even her stepdad, Derek, but she didn't see any point in worrying them with yet another case when she was perfectly capable of handling this one on her own.
She had assembled a file of all the information she had so far, and that included what information she could quickly find on each of the victims, such as how they died, where they were found, and basic information about each victim. Next on her to-do list was to visit the victims in the morgue and talk to the Medical Examiner to find out anything else she could learn about what happened to them.
So she was on her motorcycle, heading there now. She parked her bike and put her helmet on the handlebars, hanging it by the chin strap. She took a glance around and headed toward the main door. She shook her hair out a little and smoothed it back, straightening her clothes as she walked inside. She wore an FBI jacket, and she was also carrying her mom's old badge, with the picture flawlessly replaced with her own. Ok so that was illegal, but no one had to find out.. and she was doing this to help people. It wasn't her fault she hadn't become an official member of the team yet, and it wasn't like her mom needed a badge anymore.
At the front desk, she presented the badge and informed the nurse on duty that she needed to speak to the Medical Examiner in charge of the autopsies of Kevin Michel, Yoel Dupond, Valerie Alders, Marie Markovic, and any others who had recently been killed. She was given directions to the morgue without any trouble. She thanked the nurse and began walking down the hall, following the directions into the elevator and to the morgue.

| Washington, DC..........
Cars zoomed by the morgue where the number of bodies began to slowly rack up. On the first day there were two, then three, then finally four. Quickly the odd occurrences reached out across the galaxy to a relatively small blue police call box, which floated at the edge of the Orion nebula. Within seconds it disappeared from the endless cosmos, to the side of the morgue. A man in a blue pinstripe brown suit sauntering out not a minute later, his hands resting nonchalantly in his pockets. Opening the glass door of the morgue, his eyes caught a glimpse of a motorcycle getting ready to turn into the parking lot, the woman's long hair dangling out from under the helmet.
The Doctor sniffed, arched his eyebrow then entered, immediately grabbing the attention of the receptionist at the front desk. "Can i help you sir?" The woman asked professionally; The Doctor flipped out his psychic paper in response and flashed it to her before tucking it away, "FBI, i need to go check out the bodies that just came in..important stuff. In a bit of a rush, best be off. This way right?". Without awaiting the woman's response, The Doctor sauntered off down the hallway, the woman left shaking her head before the sound of the door opening again grabbed her attention.
After shifting his body and feet past three corners and down two hallways, the morgue door lay in front of The Doctor, the porthole like window giving view to sight of the four bodies laid out with white tarps over them. Pushing the door open, The Doctor peered around, looking for the examiner at first but then moving his attention to the clip board resting on the edge of the table in front of him. Walking over to it, The Doctor picked it up and reviewed the medical examination of the bodies with peaking curiosity, "Third degree burns centered in the chest area only...now that's weird" he mumbled.

| Emma entered the morgue quietly, feeling like it was somehow required as a respectful gesture to the victims there. The guy in the suit caught her attention right away. Definitely not the M.E., not dressed like that. She'd never seen him before, so she was curious. She took a quick glance at the bodies of the victims, then offered a friendly, yet also professional, smile to the stranger.
"Hello. Looking for the M.E.?" She inquired, as that would make sense. That's what she was doing, and she wondered where the medical examiner was. She stepped closer to the first table and took an assessing look at the body there, careful not to touch anything since she didn't have gloves on. She skimmed over the file on the clipboard briefly. "Are you with the FBI, or another agency?" She asked with a casual glance in suit-guy's direction. If he was FBI, she wondered if he'd heard of her mom, which could easily make things difficult for her. Although he was far more likely to have heard of her grandpa, but he wouldn't easily be connected to her.
She was aware that she could get in a lot of trouble for doing this, but she was too curious to not investigate, and she also wanted to stop the killer.. maybe partly to prove she was capable? She wasn't totally sure of all her motives for taking this case, but the point was she knew she could do it and she wasn't scared to face this psychopath or whoever it was killing people.

| The Doctor swiftly turned his attention to the incoming person, first noticing her smile then the question she posed to him and her FBI oblivious apparel. "Oh..well..yeah, sort of. It's FBI here in America, where i'm from it's UNIT. Same thing..well...sort of" He replied to her question, glancing back at the clipboard as he set it down then turned to the bodies, "Yeah i was looking for the examiner but it looks like he's not here, or if he is he's just playing hide and seek".
As he spoke, The Doctor uncovered one of the first bodies, pulling back the tarp down to the waist to view the damage on the torso of the victim. "Kevin Michel, age twenty three, french decent...good guitar player" The Doctor exclaimed as he reviewed the body, his eyes immediately falling on the circular burn mark on the upper right hand corner of the chest. "Impact immediately left a third degree burn mark on the flesh...killed him instantly" He concluded, glancing at the hands of the victim then up at Emma, "Oh umm..the hands..no signs of restraint or fight back. No other injuries to the body apart from the one on the chest. Either mister Kevin here knew the killer...or he was taken by surprise" he finished with a sniff.
Suddenly the doors swung open and a man in a lab coat came dashing in, his face splattered with an angered and confused facial expression. "I never got any calls about any FBI agents coming here to inspect the bodies! Who are you and what do you want?!" The medical examiner proclaimed, the receptionist coming in behind him and the sound of the front door opening echoing into the room. "Just...just you know. Popping in, checking things out. But, but! My partner is an FBI agent!" The Doctor quickly began to muster up a cover up, "I'm in training. Learning from the best..well..trying to anyways. Bit hard to keep up with this one, big talker".

| Emma nodded slowly as he replied something about a unit. She started to ask what unit he was with, but then decided instead to listen to what he was saying as he uncovered the body. "Yeah, I was noticing that Ms. Alders and Ms. Markovic also have no defensive wounds." She agreed, frowning a little. "The attacker didn't get too close to them, most likely. Looks like the mark from some sort of.. energy gun or lazor.. or something.." She bit her lip a little and hoped that didn't sound too crazy or ridiculous, but really it made sense. And she was pretty sure there were probably some guns already developed that didn't require bullets, so why not?
Just then the ME entered, apparently not too happy. Emma observed him briefly while the suit guy spoke to him. She glanced at him, claiming to be her partner, and raised an eyebrow slightly. Her first thought was, 'Fake agent? probably.' But then she had no room to talk, really. But she was very curious about this guy now, and felt a faint blush come to her cheeks when he told the ME he was 'learning from the best'. That would be her grandpa, not her. Big shoes to fill, but she decided not to call him on his story, and go along with it for the time being. Or, at least not let on that she'd never seen him before in her life. Instead, she stepped forward and held up her genuine, albeit slightly altered, FBI badge, confidently displaying it to the angry medical examiner. "Special Agent Emma Morgan, BAU. I apologize that you didn't get the message about us coming. The FBI is handling this case, and we'd appreciate your full cooperation sir." She said, keeping her tone polite and calm to try and calm the ME down a bit. "You are the one who examined the victims, right?" She asked.

| The medical examiner studied the badge presented to him by Emma, arching his left eyebrow as he glanced over to The Doctor then back to Emma with a nod of his head, "Yes Agent Morgan" he replied. Walking over to the bodies, the examiner peered over each one before turning to the already uncovered man, "Each body has the same injuries. Absolutely no defensive struggle signs on any of them...originally i thought it might have been an allergic reaction of some kind. But there are no signs of anything within their blood stream and the white blood cell counts are normal. My only explanation would be an explosive round, semi-close range. Not far enough to burn the rest of the body but close enough to make sure it only left this circular pattern you see here".
The Doctor listened intently, taking in all the possibilities the examiner offered before the sound of the doors opening grabbed his attention. In the doorway stood two police officers, behind them a stretcher with a woman laying on it, "Sir. We've got another one, just happened..". The ME's attention immediately shifted to the officers and in the incoming woman, "Hurry then! Hurry! Bring her in!" he insisted. Of course this peaked The Doctor's interest, being able to see a fresh marking of the shot and hopefully get more clues to who exactly is causing this.
Hurriedly the officers rushed the woman onto the last free table in the morgue, placing her down gently before walking out to leave the ME to his work. Uncovering the body, the ME immediately began to examine the body, noticing the familiar burn mark on the chest but this time, there were defensive marks. Flipping on his glasses, The Doctor walked closer to the body, mainly on the hands where various bruises and scraps lay scattered across her olive tinted skin. "There was a struggle.." The Doctor mumbled, much to the aggravation of the ME who reluctantly agreed with his conclusion and released a sigh, "Yes..that appears to be the case. Bruises on her knuckles indicate she fought back whomever was attacking her..scrapes and scratches could be from anywhere. I will need to take a blood sample to check her white blood cell count and composition. If you two would be so kindly to allow me to do my work..i will send the results over to your branch Agent Morgan".

| Emma listened as the ME gave some information, but so far all he'd said was stuff she and the unidentified guy already knew. "What exactly was the cause of death?" She asked, curious. "I mean.. obviously this had a great deal to do with it," She pointed to the chest wound. "But what caused the death?" It could be damage to the heart, considering those burns, but it could be something else too, or even something that wasn't obvious.
She turned as some officers came in bringing yet another body. She frowned, watching but staying out of their way as they moved the body onto the ME's worktable. Emma was curious about the defensive marks, and stepped closer to look. She stood on the other side of the table so not to crowd the other two, and looked without touching. Defensive wounds, definitely. The scrapes and bruises looked fresh, and she didn't think it came from fighting against a human, but actually thought it resembled more like someone who'd punched a wall or something hard, perhaps metal?
Before she could observe too much more, the ME was impatiently trying to get them to leave. She bit her lip a little when he called her Agent Morgan. "Agent Emma, please." She said quietly. Agent Morgan was her dad, and it sounded weird to be called that. She took out a small notebook and wrote down her email and stuff. "You can send the information to here. Thank you." She wasn't too happy the guy was being like this, but then she couldn't really do much about it because technically, she wasn't supposed to be here. But she'd found out most of the information she needed from here, so now she guessed the next step was to check to see if there was anything that connected the victims, like if they had anything at all in common, or if these were just randomly chosen victims.
Deciding it best to not press the issue and leave, she headed toward the door, and glanced back. "We'll be in touch." She said before leaving. She looked over at the other guy and gave a small 'come on' kind of nod, before walking out into the hall. Once the door was closed and they were out of hearing of anyone else, she turned to him. "So, who are you really? And what's your interest in this case?" She asked, folding her arms over her chest and raised an eyebrow inquisitively.

| Chris was bored as usual. He was at a conference at the hospital but he was waiting for something to do. Chris was wondering around the hospital when he spotted the morgue. Chris saw some people bringing a body in. “Interesting…” Chris whispered to his self. Chris followed the people inside. He watched the body go into the Examining Room. Chris had absolutely no idea what the hell was happening. So he decided to lean up against the wall outside of the door. Two people walked out of the room. They didn’t seem to notice him. Chris casually limped in the room. “I need a new cane soon.” Chris mumbled. The ME was too busy working on the new body so Chris looked at some of the other ones. The burns were in a circular pattern. Chris figured it must be from electricity but when he looked closer there was no other burns. That means I couldn’t be electricity because electricity always has an entrance and exit wound. Chris thought back to the people that walked out of the room earlier. “Maybe they know something.” Chris asked himself a bit too loud. So he was shooed out of the room by the ME. Chris saw the two people from before talking. Chris limped over to them. “What where you guys doing in the morgue? You don’t look like doctors.” Chris asked with no emotion in his face. | |

| The Doctor nonchalantly placed his hands into his pockets as he exited the room with Emma, glancing back over his shoulder to the ME who flashed him a cold glare before returning his attention to his work. "Hmm?" He asked unconsciously as Emma began to ask him questions, turning his head and attention back to her just in time to process what she had asked. Now was the tricky part, finding a series of lies that would fit. "John Smith, lead scientific officer at UNIT..lets just say the distance of certain things getting to me is...vast at least".
Before The Doctor could continue, the man burst through the doors of the morgue room, questioning why they were inside of the building and their appearances. The Doctor smirked, "You're the one to talk" he replied quickly at the cane man, "We..we were just gathering information. Secret UNIT, FBI information, you wouldn't be interested. Anyways!". Turning back to Emma, The Doctor gestured towards the front lobby of the building with his head, "Best get on with the investigation. The more time we spend here, the bigger chance of another person coming through those doors" he explained, "I'll talk to my people, you talk to yours. Although..i may need to hitch a ride with you..my..my car is acting a bit weird right now. I can contact UNIT from your station".

| Emma wasn't so sure she believed this Smith guy's story. If Smith was even his real name. But before she could ask any more questions, another guy showed up and asked why they were there. She suppressed a sigh and held up her badge, just long enough for the cane guy to take a look at the name and picture and officially-ness of it, before putting it away. "Agent Emma Morgan. Dr. Smith and I are investigating this case. Sorry we can't talk, but we haven't got much time to work." She explained in a patient tone.
She then turned to Smith with a raised eyebrow. Aware of the cane guy nearby, she walked a little further down the hall before speaking to him. "Really? I've only just sort of met you and you expect me to give you a ride?" She asked. She folded her arms. "I covered for you in there because I didn't see any reason to call you on your story, but don't think I'm fooled by your lies. And now you want to ride with me? What's to stop you from trying something once you get me alone? Not that it'd work, because you probably wouldn't live to accomplish 'something', but still, why should I trust you?"

| Chris was really annoyed at the fact these FBI/UNIT people were just walking away from him. "You know I'm not an idiot. UNIT never comes to America. I should know I've lived in Washington DC and London." Chris said and limped after the people. Chris took out his bottle of pain meds and popped one in his mouth and continued to follow them. "Besides you could use my help the ME here is even more of a jerk then me and thats saying something. I did figure out a few things before he kicked me out of the morgue." Chris said and hoped that grabbed their attention. Chris had no idea why he was so interested in this. It might be because he has nothing else to do for a few days. Chris felt his cell phone vibrate but he ignored it. It was probably just his serial killer brother anyway. Chris knew he was safe in Washington DC. Well, at least he hoped he was. "You know the burns definitely weren't caused my electricity. Unless you know of any electricity that doesn't have a exit wound." Chris said. | |

| The Doctor glanced back at the cane wielding man before turning his attention to Emma, his eyebrow arching as his mind formulated a reasonable answer to her question. Once finally finding one, The Doctor nodded, "Good question" he mumbled with a nod, "But fact is that i can help you solve this case far more than any of your fellow agents. What's better then some outside help ey? Cause i guarantee your people back in those offices don't really care about this case...why else would you take up something like this? Because you care..and if you really care that much then you'd trust me enough to let me help you. After that you won't have to question my trust".
Glancing over his shoulder, The Doctor peered to the cane wielding man once more, "No..it's not electricity...it's something much worse". Swiftly turning his heel, The Doctor propelled down the hallway, shifting his body left and right before finally breaking out into the central lobby of the building. In his mind he pondered whether Emma would believe him or not, but more importantly, one thought flashed brightly in his mind more than any other. The blast circle on all the victims and the all too familiar sight of a Dalek's laser mark on the bodies of the fallen Time Lords in the Time War. No....

| Emma listened as Smith answered her question, and then walked out, apparently in a hurry to get working on this case. She bit her lip a little and considered his answer for a bit before glancing at the other guy as he walked up. "True, but it does appear to have similar characteristics to an electrocution. What else do you suggest it might be?" She asked. She glanced down the direction that Smith had gone. "Please, do tell me what information you have. It may be important to the case." She said, keeping a polite tone. She listened to what he had to say, then thanked him for the info. "If you'll excuse me, I need to be going." She said, then headed off after Smith.
She walked briskly, and should catch up to him fairly soon. Once in the lobby, she glanced around for Smith, then went outside to where her motorcycle was parked, figuring he'd follow her. "Alright, so here's the deal. First off, I'm not going to the FBI headquarters or anything like that. So you won't be able to contact your people 'at the station'.. if you really have 'people'." She informed him. "Second, I only have one helmet." She motioned to the helmet hanging off the handlebars, then folded her arms and looked at the guy. "Thirdly, if you're going to ride with me, you'd better be careful where you put your hands." She said, giving him a look that suggested that he might lose a hand if he put it anywhere he shouldn't.

| The Doctor listened to her overview of the rules of her motorcycle, nodding as she stopped and glancing over to the bike with a smirk before looking back to her. "First off i don't need a helmet. Second i need someone to call UNIT and third..or coming in at an option C..i need you to do everything i tell you or at the very least listen. This thing is bigger than any legal agency or drug addicted doctors with walking canes. Now! Just stay there for a moment..i need to get my phone out of my...car". Spinning on his heel, The Doctor swiftly turned around and bolted towards the alleyway on the right side of the morgue.
Once he was sure nobody was watching him, The Doctor inserted the key into his TARDIS and quickly slipped in before closing the door behind him. Now turning his attention to the control console, The Doctor dashed over to it, jumping around each section of it until finding the cell phone Martha had given to him all those years ago. Flipping it up into his hand, The Doctor grinned as he turned around and bolted down the ramp, snagging his trench coat quickly just before slipping back out through the doors. Locked with a snap of his fingers, the doors held firmly to a reassuring tug The Doctor gave to them before turning his attention back to Emma and her motorcycle.
Turning the corner, The Doctor bolted back over to Emma, handing her first the cellphone, "Call them with this. It's on speed dial, press one then zero." he told her before extending his arm out with his trench coat drenched over it, "Next put this on. I can't wear it if i am driving, plus it makes us look amazing on the road. Go on then, flop it on. Don't loose either one of these!". Pointing his index finger at Emma, The Doctor flashed her a stern look before turning to her motorcycle and slowly getting on it, placing his hands on the handles softly, "Haven't been on one of these in ages. Well....i rode one in the anti-grav Olympics...came in last but still" he paused to sniff, "I think i can manage".

| Emma watched Smith, looking a bit puzzled as he took off somewhere. First he seemed impatient to leave, now he had taken off? She grabbed her helmet off the handlebars and then looked around a bit while she waited for the guy to return. While she waited, she thought over what he'd said. It was like he knew more than he was telling her.
She watched him come back carrying a trench coat, and raised an eyebrow as he put a cell phone in her hands. "Uh.." She was about to ask why he didn't call his unit, when he instructed her to wear his trenchcoat and then got on her bike. "You realize that's my bike? And, thanks but I have a jacket on already.." She said, since he'd apparently not noticed.
Sighing a little, she looked at the trench coat he'd pushed into her hands. "Fine.. but if you wreck my bike you're buying me a new one.." She informed him, rolling her eyes a little as she put on his trench coat. She'd probably burn up in it. "But I can't very well make that phone call while riding, so that'll have to wait til we stop." She pointed out, then put her helmet on before getting on the bike behind him. "Hope you know where you're going.." She said, uncertain about this guy's driving abilities.

| "Now lets see here...this one makes it go forward..this stops..no..wait hold on. Yes! That makes it stop..hopefully" The Doctor mumbled as he reminded himself of the controls of the motorcycle before revving it up and bursting it out onto the road. Cars honked their horns in pure anger as the motorcycle roared out onto the scene and tightly turned to the left just in time to zoom past a yellow light. Immediately the obelisk and larger buildings of Washington, DC came into view, breaking out into view over the skyline of the smaller and medium sized buildings around them.
"Wooohhhooohhooo!!!" The Doctor proclaimed as he made the motorcycle pop a wheelie before slamming back down with a slight bump before coming to a screeching stop in front of the J Edgar Hoover building, whipping right into a parking spot. "See, there we go" The Doctor said proudly, sitting up and glancing back over his shoulder to Emma, "No dents or scratches on you or the bike. Brilliant". Grinning, The Doctor stepped off of the motorcycle and offered a hand to Emma, "You can call my agency from out here while i go inside and talk to them. Once you get a hold of someone, tell them where we are and tell them code blue" he told her before turning around and making his way to the doors of the FBI HQ.

| Emma got a handful of his suit jacket on each side of him and slightly leaned toward him. "Do you actually know how to dri.." She was in the middle of saying 'drive this thing?' when he pulled out swiftly. She gasped softly and gripped his jacket a little tighter, looking around a little anxiously as they pulled out in front of traffic and probably came within inches of getting hit by about ten cars, also probably almost causing a wreck as cars screeched to a halt to avoid hitting the motorcycle.
When he pulled the wheelie, she quickly switched from holding onto his jacket to holding onto his sides, just enough to avoid falling off backwards. When finally he parked.. or rather swung them into a parking spot at top speed and came to a sudden halt there.. she looked up at him as he offered her a hand. She stared at him for a second and then got off the bike, ignoring his hand. "Are you crazy?" She asked, pulling off her helmet with an attempt to glare at him, which probably wasn't very affective since she was trying not to laugh. "Are you trying to kill us?" She wasn't sure why, but she found that she was grinning for some reason probably because, well really it had been fun. She laughed a little and shook her head. "You almost caused a ten car pile up!" She bit her lip, trying to stop grinning. It wasn't funny..
She shoved his trench coat at him. "Here.." She took a couple of deep breaths, hiding a lingering smile. "Where do you think you're going?" She frowned, noticing where they were. She bit her lip, wondering why he might be going in the FBI HQ, and thought maybe she ought to go in too. Or would it get her in trouble? She sighed and looked at that phone, then dialed the number he'd said to call, and paced around a little while she waited for an answer. "Hello? This is agent Emma Morgan with the FBI. A Mr. John Smith asked me to call and tell you that he's at the FBI headquarters and he said to tell you it's a code blue." She said, already heading inside to catch up to Smith.

| UNIT HQ, Tower of London....
Kate Stewart and Osgood hovered over the control panel overlooking several screens across a circular room, their eyes rolling across the screens as a handful of UNIT officers typed away at the computers. "As far as we know mum, the incidents are contained to just central London..no where else is reporting de-" Before the officer could finish, the phone began to ring next to him; for a moment he froze and just looked at it before finally picking it up, "UNIT Officer Fields..who is this?" he spoke into the phone.
Upon hearing Emma's reply, Fields peered up to Kate and offered her the phone, "Mum..it's for you. John Smith is issuing a code blue". Kate rolled her eyes at the thought of The Doctor using the alias, even releasing a small chuckle before taking the phone and putting it up to her ear, "This is Kate Stewart, leading officer at UNIT. Tell..Doctor Smith we will be there momentarily. Stay his position until we get there" she told Emma before hanging up and turning Osgood and the officers in the room. "I want the scientific squad ready and prepped in two hours..we're heading to Washington DC".
FBI HQ, Washington DC...
The doors of the FBI Head Quarters burst open, immediately drawing everyone inside's attention as The Doctor strode inside. "Who ar-" An agent when to ask as he stepped in front of The Doctor, only to have the psychic paper flashed in his face, "Doctor John Smith of UNIT, come here to get all the evidence you have regarding the cases of the oddly killed people..you know..the ones with the burn marks on their ches-" he stopped as he noticed the expressions on their faces. "What? Did i say something wrong?" The Doctor asked them before one finally came forward, "We scrapped that case weeks ago, gave it to the local authorities, none of our business" a male agent replied, sniffing as he placed his hands at his hips, "B-but i'm with an Agent Emma Morgan..she said she's been working the case" The Doctor replied.
Immediately upon hearing the name of the agent, The Doctor was supposedly working with, the agents faces lowered to the shiny marble floor beneath them, "Emma Morgan?" the agent in front of him asked, "Emma Morgan said she's working on a case? Oh lord..not again..".

| Emma came in just in time for the end of the conversation, and winced slightly at what she heard being said. She hesitated before joining Smith, and cleared her throat lightly. "Oh.. hi. Um.. I think Dr. Smith must have misunderstood what I said.." She said, glancing at him with a slightly accusatory glare. She smiled at the others, carefully hiding any annoyance or nervousness. "See, what I actually said was, that we need to talk to Agent Morgan, which is my dad, not me.. but this guy must've just assumed that cause my name's Morgan, that I meant me." She rolled her eyes with a slight laugh, then glanced at Smith. "Right?" She smiled a little and continued without giving him a chance to say anything to the contrary. "You really need to pay better attention. I definitely didn't say I was Agent Morgan.. cause, y'know, that'd be illegal and all. Impersonating a federal agent. I'm not that stupid.. anyway, we better get going, need to talk to Derek. Kinda important.." She turned to Smith. "This is just the reception area, the Behavior Analysis Unit is on the sixth floor. C'mon." She explained, then grabbed his wrist and led the way to the elevator, really hoping he wouldn't say anything til they got there.
She kept a smile on her face til the elevator doors had closed, then sighed and put her hands up over her face. "I'm so stupid.. and I shouldn't have let you go in here without telling you.." She turned to him, biting her lower lip a little. "I'm sorry, I wasn't totally honest about it.. I'm not really an agent. I'm.. still in the FBI Academy. But, I'm going to be.. in just a few months." She said, sincerely. "Seriously, if you had a way to travel in time, you'd see in just a few months I'll graduate the academy and I'll get the spot on the BAU." She fidgeted a little. "It just.. hasn't happened yet." She sighed and leaned against the wall. "Anyway. If you're looking for the BAU team, that's on the sixth floor. But they won't be here. Not even the tech analyst, because they all went to California on another case, before this one came up."
She then frowned as she thought about something. "I can't believe those guys though.. they knew about this and ignored it? If my team.. I mean.. the BAU team.. had known about it, I'm sure they'd have checked into it." She said, convinced about that. "This stuff didn't come to my attention until after they had gone, and they'll probably be gone for at least another day or so." She looked at Smith. "But.. I can handle it, y'know. Just because I'm not an official agent yet, doesn't mean I'm not capable. I've helped them out before, unofficially.. and I'm going to stop talking now. Sorry.." She blushed and looked down at the floor with a small sigh.

| The Doctor smirked, listening to her confide to him about not being an actual FBI agent made him think about him not actually being John Smith. But at least i didn't lie about being in UNIT He thought to himself as her speech came to a stop, grabbing his attention as she glanced away from him and to the floor. The Doctor sniffed and crossed his arms as he leaned back to the railing behind him, "Well.." he started, "My name's not John Smith, so it looks like we both lied about something..just..mine wasn't as big as yours".
Chuckling, The Doctor glanced over to her before looking back to the numbers of the floors as they passed by, "Thing is...like you said it's a bit odd that the FBI chose to let local law enforcement handle this..i think there's more going on here then we could have ever imagined". Just then the elevator doors hissed open, revealing the BAU research room where one single figure stood, his back turned to them as they entered the room. The Doctor arched his left eyebrow, "You said they were all in California right?" he asked Emma as he cautiously approached the man.
"Hmmm?" The man asked as he turned around, hearing the footsteps of the Doctor and Emma, a smile emerging on his face as his eyes met Emma's, "Emma! Nice to see you again" he exclaimed happily. "We thought you were in California on a case" The Doctor asked the man, who immediately became submerged in thought, "Yes..yes we were but..something happened" he replied, his eyes lowering to the floor before finding their way back up to Emma and The Doctor, "Oh yes! Now i remember..we..we were killed! We finally found what was killing the people in California..and it killed us..all of us".

| Emma glanced at Smith with a faint smile as he admitted to having told a bit of a lie as well. But then the elevator opened and she stepped out, frowning in confusion as she saw someone there. "Rossi..?" She asked, surprised to see him there. She was confused, his reaction to seeing her seemed strange. She stepped forward a little and was about to ask how he got here so fast, when he spoke again, his words stopping her in her tracks. She stared at him with wide eyes for about ten seconds, but it seemed a lot longer as different emotions flashed through her and various thoughts raced through her mind.
She took a step back, feeling almost like she'd been hit so hard in the chest that it had knocked back a step. Killed? All of them? No, it couldn't be true. She slowly took a deep breath and did her best to straighten out the facts in her mind, then glared at 'Rossi'. "No. No, you weren't." She said, frowning. "You weren't killed. You're right here, so what sort of joke are you trying to pull?" She asked, a bit more fiercely than necessary. "You wouldn't be smiling if they'd all all died, and there's no way you could've gotten here so fast. I just spoke to dad a couple of hours ago and everything was fine and he said you guys would probably be another day at least.." She had more reasons to convince herself, but she didn't list them all. She took a step toward him, hands on her hips. "You're not Agent Rossi, so who, or what are you?" She demanded angrily.

| The Doctor watched 'Rossi' cautiously, taking in everything he said before turning his attention over to Emma as she spoke. When she became more aggressive towards the man, The Doctor immediately became defensive, extending out his hand in front of Emma so she did not approach 'Rossi' anymore then she already had. Suddenly, just as The Doctors hand reached out to stop Emma, Rossi froze in place, his eyes widening as the skin on his forehead began to peel back and to the side. A Dalek eye stock shooting out and peering between The Doctor and Emma.
"Emma..." The Doctor mumbled, shifting his body in front of hers, "Get into that elevator..on my que. Don't look back..just go" he told her as he reached into his breast pocket and flipped out his sonic screwdriver. The Dalek controlled Rossi want to be beginning his zombie like march toward The Doctor and Emma, "Emma.....RUUNNN!!!!!".

| Emma took a couple of steps back when something weird started happening to 'Rossi'. "W-what..?" She recognized the protective-type nature of Smith's action toward her, and she realized quickly that there was danger here. "What's happening?" She asked, a little alarmed by whatever was going on. Maybe now wasn't the time for asking questions though, and since there was clearly some sort of danger here, she thought it best to get out of here. "You're coming too.." She told him, more like an order than a statement.
She began slowly backing toward the elevator while she watched 'Rossi' carefully as he began to move toward them. She stopped at the elevator and pushed the button to call it back up, hoping it came very quickly. "What exactly is that?" She asked quietly, staring at the.. thing that had been impersonating Rossi. She really hoped that elevator came quickly..

| "I'll explain when we get out of here...just don't let it touch you!" The Doctor called back to Emma, keeping his eyes locked on the Dalek converted humanoid even as the elevator proclaimed it had arrived on their floor, it's doors hissing open and calling them back into its grasp. Slowly The Doctor backed up, his right hand reaching back in search of Emma while his left held his sonic screwdriver firmly raised up to the man. Suddenly his right pant pocket began to buzz, snapping him out of his gaze on the man as she spun around and dashed into the elevator, making sure Emma got in with him with his screwdriver equipped hand placed lightly on her back.
Frantically jamming the lobby button with his free hand, The Doctor shifted his attention away from the man just for a second before glaring back up at him. His eyes grew wide as the man came closer and closer and just before he could reach out and touch them, the elevator closed. This finally allowed The Doctor to exhale a well needed breath as he glanced over to Emma, "Bit too close for comfort but we'l be alright" he mumbled. Then another buzz came from his pocket. The Doctor grumbled, "Oh alright" as he reached into his pocket and flipped it open, "Hello?" he spoke into the phone, "Doctor! We have your TARDIS. On route to your location now" replied Kate, "What did i tell you about picking me up?! Yo-hello? Kate?". Closing the phone shut, The Doctor shoved it into his pocket, "Cheeky woman" he mumbled as the doors of the elevator hissed open, revealing a lobby filled with the eye stocked FBI agents. Immediately The Doctor's eyes widened, "Ooh....blimey".

| Emma widened her eyes a little at the scene that met their eyes when the elevator opened. So much for her worrying about whether the others in the building were in danger.. "Wrong floor.." She swiftly hit the 'close door' button and then hit the button to take them to the next floor up. "Ok, what's going on? What are those things? What's happened to those people? What happens if they touch us? Will Rossi be ok? Was that even Rossi? What do they want?" She asked one after the other, then took a couple of breaths to try and calm down.
The doors opened again and thankfully, to an empty corridor of the first floor. She took a cautious look around, reassuring herself that it was clear. "Come on!" She said, then ran down the hall. Reaching the far end of the building, she turned a corner and kept going. Taking a short cut through an office, she found the stairs to the back exit and paused to swipe a key card through the slot before leading the way down the stairs. "It pays to have parents who work here.." She commented quietly as she hurried down the stairs, leading the way to the back door of the FBI building, feeling grateful that she was so familiar with this place. "Where to next?" She asked, wondering if he had a plan. If not, she wondered if it would be safe at the house, or if they'd expect her to go there. Her next option was the library. Surely that was safe?
