Fixed and Fluxed

With the TARDIS repaired and his brother behind him, The Warden ventured across the stars aiding and assisting people and causes he deemed worthy. As he journeyed across the stars in endless loneliness flashes of the time war burned him in his sleep, yet he pressed on not knowing what to do or where to go. Traveling fills the time but it doesn’t give him purpose, and that is what he lacks. As he traveled he saw many things but none as strange as the day his temporal detector went off. There are rules of time Fixed and flux and the rest, and the Time Lords use to monitor the fixed events to make sure they stayed in tune with Rassalon’s Continuity.

When the temporal alarm sounded it meant that someone was tampering with fixed moments in time, and as much as he wanted a purpose he felt tired, useless and defeated. So he stopped, coming to rest in 21st century earth he left his TARDIS and ventured threw London finding a bar and having a drink. Sitting alone he stared into the auburn liquid when a women sat at his table “What do you want” he asked unengaged not looking up from his drink

Sonya chuckled before leaning back in the seat she just slid into, eyeing the man across from her in amusement. "Well, I would like for you to not be rude when a fellow Time Lord tries to offer company to another when they look like something just drug them through the dirt." She stated softly, her hands folding behind her head as she studied the other customers around them. "I mean honestly, you'd think someone your age would have a little manners other than asking someone what they want." She added, glancing at the man out of the corner of her eye before letting out a low sigh and standing up with a shrug. "But, if you want left alone, that's fine by me. I have better things to do than coddle someone that's busy feeling sorry for themselves. Goodbye."

looking up from his drink at the woman in front of him "What? you'r a Time Lady? How I didn't know any one but the Doctor escaped. How are you here." he seemed more energetic as he spoke, the prospect of having others who know of Gallefray and his people there rules. "What do you do? What-?" he didn't know how to express his confusion and longing for what he didn't know.

Sonya turned back around and cast a critical eye over the man for a moment before sitting back down across from him. "I wasn't raised on Gallifrey. In fact, I didn't even know I wasn't human until a few years back." She said bluntly, her hands folding on the table in front of her as she stared him down. "I was raised by humans, abandoned by humans and lived with humans for years without knowing. I didn't escape, as you put it, I was cast out." Sucking in a deep breath, she suddenly flashed him a bright smile and held a hand out for him to shake. "My name is Sonya, a pleasure to meet another Time Lord that isn't the Doctor. Honestly, that man has so many faces and appears at the oddest of times. I don't know how you all lived with him back on your planet."

He was a little taken back, but shook her hand to not appear rude "you truly weren’t raised on Gallefray, Time Lords only exchange names at their wedding. I’m The Warden” releasing her hand he grasped his drink and raised it to his lips. “You know the Doctor? I’ve been looking for him. What live is he on now 6? 7?” he took a large gulp of the auburn liquid. Placing the glass down he looked back at her “How did you find me? And how did you know I was a Time Lord? More importantly do you know how I can find the doctor?”

"Alright easy there. I don't play twenty questions very often." Sonya said, holding her hands up in defense of the questions he flung at her in rapid succession. "Listen, I don't know about the whole trading names at marriages thing, my name is Sonya. Always has been, I don't have a fancy title like you lot do. Second of all, I knew you were by looking at your aura, it looks like mine and the Doctor's. And thirdly, finding the Doctor isn't as easy as you make it sound. If he doesn't want anyone to bother him, no one will find him. If he feels like having fun, he'll pop up somewhere. Usually I run into him by accident, then I go off with him for a month or so at a time and nearly be killed every day I'm with him." Slowly lowering her hands back to the table, Sonya folded them back in front of her and studied Warden with a small smile on her lips. "I'm not sure how else to answer your questions, but it would be easier if you didn't throw them at me like that."

He calmed down and regained his composer. “Sorry… Sonya. I didn’t mean to startle you. As I’m sure you know we are a rare sight to see one in a bar on earth is a bit… exciting, but I do apologize” Taking another large gulp of his drink he “So the doctor is hard to find you say? That dose sound like him. He was always very elusive but his own people could normally find him, but there gone now so yeah it would be hard” he was deep in thought, but no words came out no comments. He simply sat in silence for close to 15 minutes before speaking. “so I’m a Time Lord, you’re a Time Lord… what now?”

"If you dare mention anything about repopulating the race, I will clock you upside the head." Sonya said brightly, a smile flashing across her features once more before she leaned back on the seat, her arm reaching around to rest across the back. "I don't know, I usually only deal with the Doctor, and this other Time Lord I know, Theta, but he's really closer to me than anyone around here. We share a common theme, so I tend to stick around him when I can." Her eyes wandered back around the area again, not really seeing what was in front of her, more turned inward to her own thoughts as she fell silent.

He laughed at the thought “No no. I have a wife” he said gazing into his drink, hypnotized by it once again. “She’s just in the time lock.” He took one last gulp of his drink and placed the glass to the side f the table. “I’ve met Theta, the Doctor from another reality? He helped me deal with my brother. Good kid, a kid, but a good heart and a great mind” he laughed remembering his encounter with Theta and his brother, back to when he escaped. “I have a TARDIS of sorts, want to try and find them? It is what we do, travel time. Time Lords and all.” He wasn’t completely committed to the idea but he didn’t know what else to say.

Sonya shook her head and waved a hand at Warden idly. "No, he's most likely busy studying some species somewhere and about to make the mistake of insulting them with some word." She tilted her head to the side and stared at the man across from her with another laugh. "I wouldn't want to bother him for something like hanging out. Not with important work he's doing." She laughed brightly once more then got to her feet. "Anyway, if you can't think of anything to do, then we might as well go for a walk. Nothing wrong with two people talking I suppose, but I cannot stand to sit in one spot for too long."

“a walk sounds great” he rose to his feet and squared his bill with the bartender and proceeded outside, it was pouring raid. “England eh?” he laughed and followed beside her. “So you don’t remember Gallefray? The cooper sky and the red grass? The Time Lord Citadel? Any of it?” he spoke more out of his own memory then as questions to her then came to a realization. “Have you witnessed the time vortex? It’s a rite of passage for our people and your given right.”

"I didn't even know I was a Time Lord until reacently, Warden. So I'm guessing I was much too small to remember anything like that when they took me away." Sonya said with a small shrug, though interest pricked at her with his mentioning of the vortex. "I don't know anything about Gallifrey, the only things I know about it are what I've read. And even those are only descriptions she's heard from other people." Sonya tucked her hands into her pockets and leaned her head back slightly to look up at the sky in thought. "Earth has been my home, not this Earth mind, another Earth. Long story."

He stayed quiet for a moment as they walked, he was enjoying the rain. “This is what I love about earth, there’s no rain on Gallefray. She had a different atmosphere water collected underground and erupted in geysers from the ground.” He extended his hands to feel the water falling on his palms. “I can show you if you want. Gallefray, her history and the Time vortex.” He turned to her, pulling his hood down. “There are so few Time lords left, and it is your birth rite. I have a fast collection of Galafrayen history and I can show you the time vortex. That is if you want to?” he continued walking besider her the rain falling on his face as they progressed

Sonya shook her head resolutely, water dripping from her long hair as she did and splattering around her. "No, I was removed from Gallifrey before I could, for what reasons, I do not know, but I do know this: If I had stayed and did see the Vortex... I would have been driven mad. My mind was weak as a child, and I knew this. Now, I could look upon it without fear, but I do not wish to. I may be a Time Lord by birth, but my heritage rests here, on Earth." She said quietly, refusing to draw her eyes from the damp ground as they walked along. "What I learn of Gallifrey and of my own kind I would rather learn on my own. It gives what knowledge I find a special significance to me. Harder to forget, and even harder to regret, no matter how dark the information may be."

He nodded “I understand, if you want I have some books that I cant keep there at this… flat? I think its called. U can have them if you want. Just about the history of the planets formation and its wild life and its pre temporal society. Like history text books. If you want them that is” he smiled greatly enjoying the wet weather, a truly earth experience

Sonya smiled at Warden gratefully and nodded her head. "I would love that, it gives me pleasure to learn about my kind on my own, or through experience." She added, her head tilting back so she could look up at the angry, grey sky with a small laugh. "I haven't walked in the rain like this in months. It almost feels like a new experience with you next to me..." She fell silent suddenly before looking over at him with a small frown on her face. "I wish I could see Gallifrey though, no matter what I learn, or the descriptions I've read... It never seems to fit with what I have in my head. Red grass, trees with silver leaves and two suns. It's all very alien to me, Warden. I don't think I could ever envision it the way it actually looked." With a pained expression crossing her face, she looked back down at her sodden shoes while walking in silence a bit more. "Was it beautiful?"

He looked at her the rain falling heavy as she wondered of her home, “Gallefray? It was unlike any planet, her suns moved around her . The second would rise as the first set, the war of red and yellow lighting the sky is orang light. The red grass blowing in the warm wind.” He turned to her “I can show you if you wish, Time lords can share memories, it helps when comparing temporal travel. I can show you what I know, no spoilers but the landscape and the sky line if you wish” he said hands out stretched

Sonya hesitated for a moment before stopping beside him and nodding her head slowly. "Just... Don't go poking around in my head if you can. Some of my past is best left buried and never seen by anyone besides myself." She murmured quietly, her eyes closing slowly as she evened her breathing before looking back up at him with a small smile. "I'm ready. Show me where I was born, please..." Taking a small step towards him, she placed her head between his outstretched hands and closed her eyes again, waiting for the connection to be made.

he smiled placing his hands on the side of her face “Just don’t think about it and I won’t see it ok, that’s how this works, I see what you want me to.” Closing his eyes he remember his home. As he dose images flood her mind.

The sky pallet changes from dark red at night to bright yellow in the day, the orange glow of Gallefray’s twilight, the long red grass blowing in the warm wind, the silver and golden leafed trees blowing, the Mountains of Solace and Solitude crawling across the landscape caped with dark blue snow. A field or short red grass with a single hill, atop it a large tree with a narrow trunk and an umbrella shaped canopy, coated with silver leaves the dark crimson sky of night shouds everything, but beneath the silver tree flickers a green flame. No wild blows as you start to walk up the hill, as you near the top to see a beautiful woman with dark brown hair smiling, reaching into your pocket you pull out a sing with a polished stone you can’t identify on it, you give it to the woman and she is so over joyed she jumps at u arms open, in the event you fall down and gaze up at the crimson sky you sea winds of color dance across it, streams of green and blue dance between the stars as ribbons of purple and jets of white join in. as the winds of color dances across her vision a flood of joy fills her as she hears the woman whisper “Yes” in here ear. As the winds begin to reach a critical point they are pulled away.

He steps back and several tears roll down his face. “That was the Galafrayen Arora, one of the most beautiful things know to this universe, it happens when the solar winds collide. Its extreamly rare, once every 2000 years. I only ever say it that one time” He pulled his hood up as he dried his face , some few tears still rolling down his cheek. “That was Gallefray” he said forcing a smile and placing a hand on her shoulder “that was your home.”

Sonya kept her eyes closed as his hands released her head, a small tear escaping from beneath her eyelid as she wandered over the new images in her mind. She could have never expected this of her home planet, the beauty that she had read wasn't even close to the real thing. Finally reaching up, she wiped away the tear and opened her eyes to look up at Warden with a trembling smile forming on her face. "Thank you, after all this time of reading and imagining, I couldn't have ever thought of that much... It's beautiful, alien, but beautiful." She finally said quietly, her eyes darting upwards as a break in the clouds above to allow starlight to shine through. "If only I could see it. To feel the red grass under my feet."

He stifled his pain at the memories he just released, that figure of the overjoyed woman burning his eyes. Forcing it back down he returned his gaze to her “That…” he choked back tears and regained himself at last “that is impossible, it only exist within the time lock, outside it is destroyed forever and throughout time. We can, sadly, never return home.” He resumed walking as the rain poured down his hood back the rain falling on his face and down the back of his neck.

"i know, I've heard the stories from the Doctor and read them in the Journal..." Sonya said with a small sigh, the smile falling off of her face as she trudged along behind Warden, watching her feet splash in the small puddles in the way. "Doesn't make me want it any less though... In fact, it makes me want it more than ever." She added, looking up at the sky with a low groan, her eyes closed against the rain as it fell on her upturned face. "Anyway... How about we get out of this water? My clothes are soaked through and I feel a tad cold."

he agreed and quickened his pace to a door hidden in an ally, his key failing to work he pulled his Sonic dagger and forced it open and head her up the stairs. it was, for all possible description a dump. the walls where falling off it had a single mattress on the floor a table with 1 chair and that was all. "Come on this way." he walked to the mattress on the floor and pointed his dagger at it and then lifted it off the ground and jumped into the hole. after a few moments he poped his head up "Come on i used my old TARDIS's dimension compressors to do this its fine. the books are here" he added diapering under the floor. with in the pocket dimension was a grand libray twice the size of any that existed on earth with books, audio logs, and other alien forms of information storage

Sonya poked her head down into the hole and slipped inside slowly, hesitantly, she made her way towards the direction she saw Warden disappear into. "When did you find the time to make all of this?" She asked him quietly once she caught up with his form as it wound it's way through the isles. "This is just... Incredible, I've never seen anything like it before. A hole in a building that shouldn't even be big enough to hold one person, let alone a library this size..." She added, spinning around to stare at the area behind her as she walked.

he smiled showing her to the Gallefrayen history Wing. "When i escaped the time lock my Battle TARDIS was damaged beyond repair. so i salvaged what i could, i took the matrix, sheilds and soul and made this" he pulled his sleeve back and showed his TARDIS-B. "I call it a TARDIS-B, for Bracer, it travles threw space and time as well as shielding me from the vortex radiation and the vacuum of space. and it talks to me also detects temporal interferance and guides me to it. i then took the Dimensional compressors, the thing that makes it "bigger on the inside" and installed it in here then just uploaded the archive lay out and here we are, it takes up as much space as a door and contans as much space as the entirety of the Smithsonian museum. i also took other stuff and made other things but I'm still working on them. most of the armaments i threw into the sun. any what this is it every thing on gallefrayen history,the G wing as i call it"
