The chilling night fell over Earth, the son's and daughters closing their eyes as they welcomed sleep as though it were a long awaited return of a friend. Embracing it as they had done countless years before. But little did they know...their sleep would never be lifted..not for many..and for the few that lived to tell the tale..they told of a group. A group of hero's..a cliche of good vs evil for the fate of their lives..and the very planet they stood on.....
Jonathan Blankston, a normal man, aged forty-two, happily married and father of two lovely children strode down the streets of New York. His eyes dancing around the skyscrapers that hugged the sides of the streets. Then, his eyes met something else, something new, something intriguing. Standing before him was a decent sized building, silver paint ran over it's walls giving it an appealing color. The sign above read "Conversionate" in glowing blue lights. Raising his eyebrow, he peered down to his watch and turned his wrist slowly to the left; the same brand name read, deeply engraved, in his silver accessory. Thinking nothing of it, he simply shrugged and wondered off, not even a simple thought put towards the building nor the item it created which was latched onto his wrist. Of course he didn't..no human did...why should he have? How could he have known that same building was positioned strategically around the entire globe for one sole purpose..and that wasn't to give people designer luxuries at discount prices.
Meanwhile..Across the universe..
The Doctor loomed over his TARDIS console, leaning over as he switched on a couple more of its controls, his eyes sparkled with mad delight with the thought of what he was doing. "There we are! Good as new! Now you can't complain about flying through the vortex without a shield." He spoke to his infamous vessel with a wide grin and a slight shake of the head before turning his attention to the scanner, "Hold on. But that's...that's a massive time vortex disruption." He mumbled, pulling back from the scanner and pacing around the control console, pointing at it with his index finger, "Are you sure you didn't make a mistake? Some error in your coding? A time vortex disruption can only mean serious danger... And if that's true.. Then that... that's.. absolutely fantastic!"
Dashing over to the controls, he quickly ordered his machine to shoot directly into the disruption, only for it to quickly land and materialize in London, once more. Striding out, The Doctor stared around the area with a small frown tugging at the corners of his mouth,a baffled facial expression emerging when we saw nothing wrong. "What? There's nothing wrong here old girl! You've dropped me off in London again..why is it always London anyway, why couldn't it have been in the Bahamas. Wouldn't mind that actually..heard they have huge-" suddenly The Doctor was cut off by the innocent sound of a girl happily singing a melody. Skipping in front of The Doctor, the girl sang, "Ring around the rosy. a pocket full of posy. Ashes, ashes. We all fall down". The Doctor froze in silence, staring the girl down as she skipped off into the distance, his mind connecting his past adventures where simple phrases where said, seemingly innocent but now revealed as something far more substantial. | |
