A new beginning (Closed to Yalti and Kalroune)

Kalroune was punched into the bar stall, he was going up against a Sontaran renegade, "Take that puny human scum!" the Sontaran growled.

Kalroune climbed up the bar stall, he grabbed a bottle and took a chug before drunkenly stumbling onto his feet.
"Is that the best you've got? C'mon! I know Slitheen that throw a better punch than you!" Kalroune laughed.

The Sontaran was enraged and charged at Kalroune, flipping him into the air and landing on his back, the crowd of aliens began to cheer even louder but quickly came to a halt.

A police officer walked in, "Right, which one of you disgusting mugs is Kalroune Zebulon?"

"Aye! That's me." Kalroune stood up but was barely able to stand, "What do you want?"

"Come step outside for a moment please." the officer requested.

"I'll be back for you Banx." Kalroune told the Sontaran in a playful tone.

"Take your time you blind fool! Hahah." Banx chuckled as he sat down and began to chug a colourful liquid.

Kalroune and the officer stepped outside of the alien bar, "Look, if this is about the unpaid parking fines, I'm working on it. It's just I-"

"Do you know the name Darren Hughes?" the officer interrupted.

Kalroune looked shocked, "That man is dead."

"No, he's alive and in a good condition. He gave us your number but we were unable to contact you. We've been tracking you down for a few months now and our sources brought us here." the officer explained.

"Why do you want me? I'm of no use to anybody now."

"On the contrary, you are of much use to us. Now if you will, please come with me."

Darren was pulled roughly out of the cell that he was resting in, guards not saying why he was being 'humiliated' in front of his cell mates. His mind clicked into full gear and it all made sense, Kalroune. They had finally gotten into contact with him. Where the hell had this man been?

"Sit and stay here."

Darren scoffed at the remark, he raised both his hands, which were uncuffed. "I'm not going anywhere."

Time passed and sound he could hear faint mutterings, most likely about him and how they had located Kalroune. It was a strange meeting, but necessary if he ever want to be a free man again. Kalroune had once promised him that he would wipe records from his existence, this was tempting but he still wanted some identity.

An alcoholic smell seeped through the door and he winced,Darren never liked the smell of alcohol and could tell that it was none of the guards…

"Kalroune."

He closed his eyes and waited for Kal's arrival.

Kalroune was starting to sober up as he got to the police station, he walked inside and was stopped by security they insisted on giving him what they called a "routine pat-down", the officers found a pair of knuckle dusters in his pockets.

"I can explain that." He insisted,"Actually... No, no I can't"

After his "pat-down" Kalroune was let through and was a lot lighter after having most of his possessions confiscated. Another officer approached Kalroune.
"Sir" he said,"I'm afraid you are going to have to take that blind fold off."

"If you insist." Kalroune grunted as he removed his blindfold to reveal his grotesque milky white eyes that were surrounded by dark thick scars.

The officer went to take it away from him but Kalroune stopped him and wore it as a scarf instead. Kalroune was then taken to the interview room in which Darren and a man were waiting.

"Well Darren." Kalroune scratched his stubble, "Didn't think I'd smell you again..."

Darren opened his eyes, staring at the milky white eyes. He smirked. "I always seem to have an odor surrounding me, but I have to admit, I didn't think that you were an alcoholic."

He got up, walking around the room, Kalroune was harmless and unarmed, however he needed to talk bout business matters. Darren took back his seat and casually sat in it.

"Where the hell have you been?" He glanced at Kal's stubble, it suited him. "Right. What do you remember from…when we last met?"

Darren didn't bother waiting for a reply as he continued to 'spill' his guts to Kalroune. "I can tell you…oho, the police captured me but I had just sent that canister into a teleporter, connected to the place which banishes the criminals, leading up to this century. Most of the dead but now, the teleporter is broken and X-11 is no longer a threat. For now."

He leant in, examining that Kal was paying attention. Once satisfied that he was, Darren continued.

"I need you to…help...me." He almost choked on the word 'help.' It was unnatural but in the bigger picture, he did need the help. Jail was boring and a brain-rotter, he also felt rather like a tiger cooped up in a small enclosure, unable to hunt.

"I'm not an alcoholic Darren! I just like my drink now and then, these officers just caught me at the wrong time." Kalroune responded.

"I've been taking a break if you must know. As for what I remember; we were taking the bomb to my ship but instead you kicked me over and went of by yourself, I figured there was that there wasn't enough time left to chase after you and so I ran to my ship and left this bloody planet." Kalroune explained.

Kalroune almost broke down in tears of laughter when Darren requested help from him, it was extremely unlike Darren to request for help, especially from Kalroune.

"So... You need my help? What do you want me to do then?" Kalroune asked even though he knew the answer, he just couldn't resist hear Darren ask for help one more time.

Darren leant back, watching the blind man laugh his head off. It was the only time that he would be asking for help, publicly. Flashbacks of what had happened went in and out of his mind.

"Well, as you can see, this bloody planet is safe. You made me a deal, Kal. To wipe most of their records and you, so far, are the only man that I can think that can h…help me." Darren rolled his eyes, sure that Kal had known the answer, only wanting to see him ask for help, again.

He looked up and down at Kalroune, you sure you're not a drinker, because I'm pretty sure that you reek of major alcoholic pubs around the galaxy…either that or I had my inmate break my nose.

"Look, get me out of this place. I'm dying to get back to what I do best. That little side errand meant nothing, apart from saving this killing zone." Darren voice was low but carried a hint of a threat, somewhere along the sentence.

"Sir, you only have a few minutes left with the prisoner." Said a guard that had entered the room. "I need to check whether you have passed any item or weapon across to the prisoner."

"Then a few minutes is what I will have! Go back outside please! You took everything off of me already... Wait no my bad, that was a different officer, sorry I can't tell, being BLIND and all!" Kalroune snapped.

The shocked officer growled slightly as he went back out of the room. Kalroune walked back and forth trying to figure out a way to help Darren with his "little problem".

"Hmm, I don't know how easily I can get you out now, if the men had found me on the day I left then it would be fine... but you see, over the past few months... I've gotten myself a bit of a record for myself, obviously I could clear it but, my ship is refusing to cooperate with me at the current time... He says "Not until I can be certain you are sober Kalroune."! He's doesn't even call me "Sir" anymore!"
Kalroune paused for a moment.

"I guess that's what I get for installing one of those empathy programs allowing the machine to sort of feel emotions." He waffled on.

"Anyway! I can't exactly get you out of here legally... but I could break you out right now." Kalroune whispered his offer to Darren as the guard opened the door to tell Kalroune he had to leave.

A smirk spread across Darren's features as Kalroune had continued to ramble on about his malfunctioning piece of space-junk.

"Why would you even want to install one of those things?" He asked, slight curiosity. He was wondering whether at any point, Kal would come up with a 'brilliant' way of getting himself out of prison. But that would usually include a: 'I will do this but only if you help me do that…' situation.

He cocked his head at the opening of the door, he had half listened to what Kalroune had to say...break you out right now…those words floated into his brain and stayed there.

Darren tested the handcuffs, which chained him down to the table and if Kalroune was to so cleverly get him out, it would be quite noticeable. However, he knew that time was running very short on the offer and he needed to make a decision quick.

"Fine. Get me out of here." Darren said, eyeing the guard.

"Sir, you have to leave now." the guard insisted.

"Very well, but could you please help me, I can't hear too well in this room and I can't tell where I am going very well." Kalroune requested.

The guard approached Kalroune but was quick slammed into the wall, the officer was out cold. Kalroune searched the unconscious guard for some keys and removed all the weapons and took them for himself. Kalroune removed the guard's uniform and tossed it a Darren before he went over to take the handcuffs off of him.

"Put the uniform on them put your clothes on him, oh and don't get any smart ideas and try to attack me or run off. Don't forget that I've got the weapons here and more importantly I am better trained in hand to hand combat, compared to you that is." Kalroune told Darren.

Kalroune stuck his head out the door to hear for people approaching, there were to armed guards coming round the corner, he could here the sound of their heavy armour thumping on the ground. "Darren, when I say to go, we are going to head over to the changing rooms just down the hallway."

One...
"NOW!"

Darren watched as Kalroune had slammed the guard into the wall, a small smirk appearing. "Someone's feisty…"

He waited until the cuffs were off and was then easily enough to change around clothes, making the guard seem like he was still in the room. He had noted that the cameras in the room had stopped working five minutes ago, whether that was Kal's doing, he was glad that the blind man was able to help him out.

"I've gotten rather rusty, all good for you being able to join bar fights, drunk as a skunk whilst I'm here, rotting in a cell." Darren said, stretching.

Kal had popped his head out of the door, Darren joined, looking over his shoulder. There were half a dozen of the armed guards heading his way. When Kal had said that it was time to go, Darren took a step out, stopping the armed guards, the hat pulled low over his facial features.

He grinned, sidestepping the guards, heading for the changing rooms as Kal had suggested. Once in the changing room, he was more than eager to get his own clothes and change back into the clothes he was used to.

"There's an exit hidden at the back. Been in changing rooms and nearly every layout is the same. Any alarm disabling tech on you?" Darren said, crouching down next to the panel of switches and a tangled mass of wires.
