Never have enough

The Siren makes a... sound. Screechy, mechanical, maybe a chuckle? She points up. "This world is connected by a network commonly referred to as the Internet. You will take me to a place where I can access it, then you will show me where to acquire an automobile. I will go then, after you have done all that is asked of you." Her glowing eyes, the way she stood like a predator ready to hunt at a moment's notice, everything about this woman... thing indicated that she was the dangerous type. Her early flashes of rage also demonstrated quite clearly that she deteriorated to anger very quickly.

The Siren wasn't telepathic anymore, but she could tell that there was quite a few things spinning around in Ramona's head. Her measure of this one's intelligence so far had not been astounding, but the words "blue box" seemed incredibly odd. "What is this blue box? Some sort of storage device?" Her body was engulfed in a blue glow as she re-applied her shields and took on the appearance of a human once more. Perhaps a more friendly visual would make her more cooperative.

The Siren looked at Ramona appraising lot. Anger was a healthy trait. There was, however, a problem with that sentence. "I can assure you that I am very much possible, and very much real." The Siren put emphasis on this by reaching out to grab the wrist of this human. "I'm growing weary of your resistance. Take me to a place where I can use the Internet. The Cel warriors are not know for their patience, my dear human.." She aware that Ramona didn't know what a Cel was, but hopefully the title of warrior and recollections of the very brief chase would get the point across.

The Siren gave a mechanical growl at Ramona's jerking and gave a jerk of her own, perhaps a little too forcefully. "You radiate energy different from other humans. You have been exposed to unique situations they have not. You are not one in a million, you are one in perhaps thirty!" She hasn't wanted to mention that, but other approaches weren't working. She needed to be persuaded that her life was important, but not so important that The Siren wouldn't kill her. This person had displayed one particularly well used ability. She had distracted the Cel from her original goal for some time. There was some backfire, though. The Siren had realized Ramona had drawn this out, even unintentionally, and was not happy with this fact at all.

The Siren puts both hands on Ramona's shoulders and yanks her close, hissing. "You are the one of those thirty I was closest to. You will do as I so because if you don't I will leave you in the middle of the road with your neck cut open!" It was a bluff, because she hasn't bothered to find any others like this human, but the bluff was well covered by the restrained rage in her voice. "Your life is expendable, you are only alive because I allow it." She released Ramona and stepped back, waiting to see what she would do now.

The Siren watched her run, and ascended to the rooftops to follow at more relaxed pace while still able to see Ramona. She would allow this human to have some feeling of safety and go home... then the plan will advance. There was work to be done... first, escape this solar system, or at least the planet. Then she would find her way back to the empire and confront the council. A little bit of truth bending and some clever half-lies, and The Siren could put together a convincing argument. With that argument won, the Council would sanction the construction of a new flagship, then back to the well laid plans that had been so rudely disrupted.

The Siren took to the ground once more when she saw Ramona enter a building. Her assessment of it was quick, but inadequate. No obvious defenses, multiple residents, not wealthy enough for unpleasant hidden defenses. Not expecting any sort of fight from anything other than her prey, the Cel approached the building. Whats the word organics use? Tiring, yes tiring. That's what this is becoming. This chase is becoming very tiring. I should have thrown together a simple telepathic control device. There is so much more work to be done... She doesn't respond to threats, anger... Perhaps.. Maybe, empathy? The Siren tapped on the door a little too hard.

Ramona's words took the Siren completely off guard. "What man? Why were those the first words you spoke? Did you know it was me?" She rattled off the three questions with admirable speed. She closed her eyes for a moment and shook her head, remembering human body language. Her eyes came open once more and The Siren looked at Ramona with a frown. "Nevermind..." It took some effort, but she managed to take on the expression of someone deeply troubled. "I... Look, human, I apologize for my previous actions. They were made in desperation, because I need the things I requested of you earlier." The Siren paused to think about what tone of voice to take on, and succeeded. "I just want to leave this world, I want to go home." The words came out sounding sad, and desperate.

The Siren stepped into the hallway with mixed feelings about using that tactic. Feigning emotions to trick her... There was no honor in it.
If any of my warriors had attempted such subterfuge... I would have had the punished.. Are my actions justifiable? She felt emotion, and there was sadness, but not desperation. And her reasons for wanting to go home were much less than good. Ramona's words confused her, breaking a melancholy train of thought . "A...fruitie?"

The Siren would have smiled, but facial expressions didn't really come naturally to Cel. She calls me dull... does the human not realize I can't infest food or drink? She decided not to bring it up, and simply watched Ramona go to work. "Talk... Home?" The human wished to hear of her home? That was... Unexpected. "Why don't you go there? Most of my people aren't much for words... Perhaps I more than most." Cel had emotions, but that didn't mean they were any good with them. They were still designed like creatures of logic, with feelings as an add-on.

The Siren's finger twitches when Ramona addressed her as "thing" again. Was she doing that because The Siren was alien, or mechanical? Or both? "Surely you know of the nuclear power plants that give your world so much of it's electricity? Uranium will allow me to create enough electricity to power a small starship, and leave this planet for..." She tilts her head from side to side. "Alpha Centauri? Yes, that'll do nicely as a checkpoint." Alpha Centauri had fairly heavy ship traffic. A clever Cel such as herself could easily acquire more advanced transportation to go the rest of the way.

The Siren wasn't really feeling angry anymore, so she allowed herself to relax. She took the drink, but didn't drink it, and began thinking about her answers. "Alpha Centauri is... Neutral ground, I suppose." She sits somewhat awkwardly, not used to the motion, because Cel don't really need chairs or couches. "And home is... your sun, Sol, is in one arm of this galaxy about at the midpoint. Home for me is actually near the tip of this arm of the galaxy." Name? More like, she had a name. Nobody had called The Siren Seliena in a long time. Now it was always Arbiter, or Siren. Two titles that were hard to live up to, and one she didn't entirely understand. "My name is The Siren."

She tilts her head towards Ramona. "It is a pleasure, Eden.." Her gaze drifts hungrily towards the laptop, well aware of what it is. The Siren pointed to the computer, using Ramona's touching it as an opening. "What is this?" She even managed to look curious. This is so slow! Why can't she bend to my will like a normal creature? Stupid, necessary human.
