An After School Walk

"Things were going fine until he-" Leatha snapped her head around to look at David, "- scared my dinner away" Leatha frowned at Artemis's next question, "I just met her." She said pointedly. Suddenly David disappeared from her view. Tilting her head Leatha frowned. "Get up. It's just sprained." she sighed when David fell over again, "You apes can recover from it in less than twenty four hours....Or at least my people can"
Leatha frowned, "Late for something, yes. Late for something important? No." Leatha said coyly.

Aedre just stood there and watched as she didn't want to be part of someones death. don't do that she thought Aedre didn't say much as they mostly just chatted to each other. She continued o slowly walk backwards out of the way, continuing to process what Leatha said to David.

Artemis looked to Aedre, "Well, it's nice to meet you." she said, "I am Artemis." she held her hand out for a shake and she smiled in a really friendly way, she didn't want Aedre to seem left out. "I haven't met anyone like you before." she said with some excitement, she had only met Leatha a few days ago and then she sees her again and then meets another alien, called Aedre. She lowered her hood to show off her face to David and Aedre, she knew that Leatha knew what she looked like and she smiled gently, her bow was under her cloak in her left hand's grip. Her right arm was out of the cloak, waiting for Aedre's shake.

Aedre shook Artemis's hand and look up slightly "Hello" she stuttered out as she looked up slightly more to see her face. "I don't really talk to people much" as she waited she lifted the brim of her white hat so people could she her alien type features. and shyly look into Artemis's eyes and smiled

Artemis smiled, "Well, I am glad you talk to me though." she giggled a little, trying to lighten the mood a little bit. She looked back at Aedre and smiles, "I think all aliens, well... the ones I have met so far, which are you and Leatha here, I think they're all pretty and friendly." she said happily with a happy grin.

"Well, lovely that you two have met." She said, pulling her hood up over her head. Leatha felt a frown tugging at the corners of her lips. "But I need my dinner." Leatha was fed up with her hunts constantly being interrupted. "Any of you know where I can find some good meat?" Leatha sat on the wooden planks of the bench, her back was curved slightly to fit into the curve of the benches back.

Artemis looked to Leatha, "Meat is mostly at a butcher, so you know you can go and buy some meat from there, there are also many different types... deer, pig, cow... so many." she smiled a little, the mention of food made her stomach growl quietly and she blushed a little, raising her hood back up, shadowing her face. "Come on, Leatha. If you're that hungry." she gestured Leatha to follow as she started to walk to the local butcher.

" Fresh meat" Leatha corrected, "Still warm" Leatha didn't think that the butcher sold that kind of meat. Leatha paused for a second as she herd a small rustle in the bushes, her tongue flicked out of her mouth and stung the creature with a poisonous barb. Smiling Leatha got of the chair and started to scour the bushes for her meal. "A vole" she frowned as she reaches down and pulled it up off of the ground. She wasn't fond of the stringy meat of the vole, nor it's less than pleasing size.

"Thank you" Aedre replied with a smile. "The only humans I have met are in the hospital when they are sick so they never really talk to me" she said with a slight giggle. Aedre stepped forward towards Artemis so that she can see her full face. "You look really pretty" Aedre said with a slight smile on her face. I hope she doesn't find me weird she thought silently to herself.

David's ankle was feeling a lot better now. He stood up. "I should probably go now." David said and walked off. He does have a lot of homework to do anyway.

Leatha frowned. "How could you not have met any humans? Don't you leave to hospital?" She asked, scuffing her feet lightly against the ground. Leatha had finished her vole and had discarded it's remains under the leaf litter and bark chippings, because of this her hands had a slightly dirty coating to them. Leatha looked over at David, "Need an escort?" she inquired, after her meal she had been feeling a bit friendlier.

"I'm good but thanks." said David. David hoped he would see all of them again sometime. He's never really had friends before. David smiled and left.

Artemis smiled at Aedre, "Thank you." she said softly before turning to see David, "I will see you later... well, if you want me to." she smirked slightly and waved him goodbye.

Leatha nodded and bent down to tie her shoe, In this part of town her should need a guide, She thought, looking around at the buildings with bars across them and graffiti on the walls. The people around here also had a strange glare in their eyes.
