Isabella's Confusion

There was one thing Isabella knew and that was that she was in big, big trouble. She had been running from Torchwood for a few years and she thought they had lost interest in her hacking skills but she had slipped up and now they knew exactly where she was and they had caught up with her.

Isabella had run down the streets of London, hoping that Torchwood had lost her trail. She saw a light shine in front of her and she blinked before accidentally running into the light and soon she ended up on a weird planet, there was stalls everywhere and many weird looking aliens that she could all identify because of Torchwood's training.

There was Judoon, Slitheen and many others that she could only smile at and walk past, trying not to cause any trouble. But her face clearly showed how scared she was because she was surrounded by ruthless aliens (some are kind too) and she had just randomly appeared on the market planet by the light that appeared in London. "How the hell did I get here?" She whispered to herself.

Darren walked along the street, his eyes darting between the Judoon and slitheen. Some of them were quite bulky and stood in his way a few times, in which he almost attempted to start a fight. But with Judoon, they were too stubborn to be reckoned with.

It was the ruthless part of London, where no one really took notice and if they did, they most likely were criminals or strange dealers, selling level 7 prohibited goods. Darren coughed as a hover board zoomed by, he looked across the street and stopped. The building he was looking at was full to the brim with explosives that he had set up. It was another Torchwood-disguised base and he wanted to eliminate them as quick as possible, which would not happen anytime soon.

He clicked a small device on his palm, the whole building shook, exploded and crumbled. Darren placed his aviators on as aliens scattered around him, no one ever took notice. A smile crept upon his face as confusion and fear sent ripples through the crowd.

Darren pulled up a seat, watching the building burn. "Hey! You!" He turned to face a woman, trying to look frightened, but his aviators hid his emotions well.

Isabella turned slowly to hear a loud crumbling sound and she knew it was a building of some sort, one that was moderately big but not skyscraper big. She saw a man and noticed he looked very... strange. She blinked in confusion before looking his way. "What is it, mate?" She asked curiously but also shyly, she wasn't the talkative type... unless she wanted to be, she tilted her head slightly in curiosity as she walked up to Darren and she crossed her arms. "Is the fall of this Torchwood building your doing? If so, good job." She smirked somewhat mischievously.

"I had nothing to do with it…" Darren lied. He didn't want to attract more attention than he needed to. But the way she had congratulated him was off-putting, he looked at her, analyzing her features. She was tense but seemingly curious. "You…look familiar…are you on the run from Torchwood, as you did just congratulate some stranger for blowing up a building."

The cat was out the bag now, he had sublimely admitted that he had caused it. He took off is sunglasses, the sun light fading into darkness. Darren stood himself up, police vans pulling up besides the firefighters. Torchwood deserved it, Myriam was a bad choice of head and her replacements were getting tediously frustrating. They followed his movements almost anywhere he went.

A smug smile appeared on his lips as he raised a finger to his lips and walked slowly towards the flaming building.

"Well the cat just got dragged out the bag." Isabella looked to Darren and she crossed her arms. "I might be an old employee of theirs..." She said quietly but angrily as she clenched one of her fists. She saw the police vans and the fire engines. Isabella smirked slightly before looking to Darren and seeing him put a finger to his lips. She blinked at first but she smirked more as she followed him slowly towards the Torchwood building which was now in flames and crumbled up on the floor.

Police and Judoon turned to face Darren as he approached, some of them even tried to stop him but Darren casually waved them off. He pointed to his guest over the shoulder and motioned that she was with him. This was the time they should have reacted, but they stood there, unsure of what they should do with the criminal and the woman.

"So…arrest me. I dare you."

Some of the Judoon began to walk towards him, some with their weapons drawn as they slapped the cuffs on Darren. The police moved in with a straight jacket, Darren raised an eyebrow, chuckling.

"Oh the surprises that await you officers…make me giggle with excitement." He said, his Irish accent prominent.

They put both him and the woman into the back of the van, him in a straight jacket and her uncuffed. The drive took more than ten minutes but when they got there, they took a precaution of clearing the hallways, in case anything seemed to provoke the Irish man.

He turned to the woman. "Darren Hughes. And who exactly are you?"

Isabella sighed as she walked up to Darren's side, her arms were crossed but she was put in the police van and had to uncross them. She sighed and looked over to the man, she had smiled at him slightly even though he must be known because he had a straight jacket on. When they arrived at the place she followed Darren close by his side and she looked to him and smiled a tiny bit. "Nice to meet you, Darren. I am Isabella, Isabella Quinn. But call me Izzy, please." She had introduced herself like her sister Harleen Quinn. Who Darren should know seeing as him and her met a month or so ago.

"You're Harley's sister…nothing like her." Darren smirked. "Where is she anyway?"

The policeman that was put in the back of the van looked at Darren to quieten him, but Darren simply glared at the policeman and the policeman turned his head. He had many plans already lined up in his head, an explosion or two would be sufficient to jolt the whole planet awake. Maybe even frame the government? That would be fun.

"Get this straight-jacket off me, officer. I need to itch my back."

The officer frowned, trying to ignore it. Darren grinned, the officer was part of his 'group' that he assembled over a couple of weeks. The key word was 'itch' and the officer hit the driver over the head, taking the position and turning on the sirens.

"Good boy…"

They were rushed to a secluded island, where he as finally released from the straight jacket and handed a pair of sunglasses as a cool breeze met him.

"So, Isabella. What do you think? I know you want to bring the downfall of Torchwood and I can help." Darren said, grinning.

Isabella's eyes widened, "You have met my sister, Harley?!" She said in surprise. She then grinned, "Is she alright? I haven't seen her since I was eleven years old!" Isabella then looked to the policeman and then to Darren, she had a strange feeling those two knew each other very well. She watched on as the policeman knocked out the driver and that is when Isabella knew that they were in some sort of partnership or group.

Isabella stepped out when they had arrived to their destination and she looked to Darren. "I think we can come to an agreement." She smirked. "We need to work together if we want Torchwood gone." She said this with a grin and she reached her hand out for Darren to shake. "Got it?"

Darren narrowed his eyes before, too, extending his hand and shaking Isabella's. He wasn't completely sure that he would want to trust this woman but said nothing, nodded at the driver and waited till the driver left.

"We take down the one in the constellation of Goden. It takes ten hours to get there but if we use the black-market tele porters, we should be there in a couple of minutes."

A knife slipped out of his sleeve and was in his hand. He knew his way around the black-market, if not, well-known around the area. He could get major deals quickly.

"Stick with me if you want to not get nabbed for the black marketers." Darren growled under his breath something in a foreign language.

It was a busy time and he didn't want her getting lost as she would help him, hopefully, get away from these crimes that he was about to commit but he needed to buy some explosives.

Isabella smiled slightly as Darren shook her hand. She slowly followed close behind him as they ventured into the area. She looked around curiously and she felt slightly uncomfortable in the area but she looked to Darren. "Why would I get nabbed for the black marketers?" She asked curiously with a small tilt of her head. She knew he had a knife in his hand and she was quite nervous being around knives and other weapons, it just reminded her of hurt and death but she didn't care if it was people she did not care for. "C-could you tell me about my sister? I-is she alright?" She asked Darren quietly and nervously as she noticed a few people staring.

Darren kept moving through the swarm of people and aliens, holding Isabella's hand. "I..can't tell you…right now, because…I don't know." He was clearly distracted by something. Darren was looking for someone in particular to get a message that he was supposed to get when he was to be going to prison.

A couple of aliens in front of him began to quarrel and fight, Darren stopped abruptly and grabbed the one that caused the fight by the throat.

"Look, get on with it." Darren growled, before saying something that the alien could understand and shuffled away, glancing over it's shoulder occasionally.

"Right, Isabella…they would nab you because they would want to sell you for money, that is their main purpose and to make a profit. Most of them are family members that are being forced to do this, mostly because of a civil war on their home planet."

Isabella followed Darren and sighed sadly as she heard him say how he couldn't tell her about Harleen, her own sister, and she kept a hold of his hand while she followed him through the group of aliens and people. She saw the two aliens fighting and she stayed back before seeing Darren sort it out and speak some sort of alien language. She blinked in confusion and tilted her head slightly before she looked to Darren and nodded slowly in understanding. "I-I understand... I was forced to work with Torchwood and my sister was forced to go out and try and find me and our mother. But our mother is dead, Torchwood made sure of that. And I haven't heard from Harley since." She said sadly as she looked down, almost about to cry.

"I can't exactly help in that area because I fell out of touch with your sister." Darren thought for a minute, to pass the time, he would need to repeat himself. "Torchwood…I can gladly deal with one of their major buildings, I'm sure you've seen the news? Those building were mainly my doing."

Finally, the teleporter was up ahead and he initiated the machine, it opened, revealing a dark purple mouth.

He glanced at Isabella, "Ladies first."

Then he went in, it only took a few seconds but they we're on a planet in the constellation of Goden. The streets were fairly busy and the traffic was light, only the occasional bike would speed past. Darren glanced up, there it was. One of the major landmarks in the planet, Torchwood industries. It was easy to find, slap bang in the middle of the city.

"You sure you want to see this? It does get a bit violent." Darren flashed Isabella a grin.

Isabella sighed and slowly followed Darren. "I don't keep still enough to watch TV. I would glance in a shop window at a TV but I would have to keep running away from Torchwood. They are trying to get me back, alive or seriously injured... maybe even dead if I keep going." She murmured the last part before following Darren to the machine, she stepped in before Darren.

Isabella had blinked a few times before realizing she was somewhere else. She had almost forgotten the machine was a teleporter. She saw Torchwood Inudstries and growled under her breath at the sight of it before she looked to Darren and nodded, "I can do violent." She grinned back at him and cracked her knuckles.

People some how sensed something was off about Darren, he flicked his head all over the place, trying to give the impression that he was just nervous, maybe for a job interview and soon saw that the crowd relaxed.

A receptionist glanced up at Darren and asked, "What can I do for you, sir?"

"I'm simply visiting with my friend here for internship purposes." Darren replied, flashing the receptionist a smile.

The receptionist's cheeks turned a shade of pink, which was difficult to see beneath all the makeup she had applied. Seconds later, she had produced a VISTOR book. "If you can sign in here, provide you name, address and your purpose for this visit."

Darren glanced down at the book, the pen poised between a finger and a thumb.

Name? If I put down my real one, alarms would sound…Heck Ashbourne…yeah, go with that. Now, address? Darren had to think rather hard for this question, he had not lived anywhere for almost five years of his life and could not remember the last place he stayed at. Constellation gardens. It was a place that apparently, his father, had visited many times and was suitable for this question.
Purpose for this visit, huh…Murder. No, that wouldn't be good. This is something you want to keep under the radar, fly in, fly out. I'll put down…internship.

"Alright, finished." Darren said, smiling.

The receptionist took the book and glanced at it before handing it back. "Your friend needs to sign in as well."
