The Doctor chuckled; her happiness was addictive and it was quickly rubbing off on The Doctor who ran after her and stopped once he was by her side. "Well you could always look at the looming twin moons above you" He told her, gesturing with his index finger to the sky at the moons with a chuckle as he placed his hands into his pockets and quickened his pace just slightly. Once turning the corner to his right, he was immediately set in the center of the arena, his eyes shooting to the right to the bleachers that were engulfed in the bodies of people. As fast as he could, he scanned and looked for seats, then, finally, he spotted a few that immediately snared his attention. "Come on, let's get some seats!" He called back to her, stopping only to look back at her and tease her, "Unless you'd like me to escort you to those as well unless of course you could see them" he joked, releasing a smirk as he turned back around and jogged up the steps and scooted in front of people and finally sitting down in the seats he desired.

"Perfect! Brillaint!" The Doctor exclaimed, looking at the view he had at the seat he was currently sitting at which gave him a direct view of the moon light and the ceremony which was beginning to become set up. But deep within his mind, that happiness he currently displayed was not present, deep within he was completely utterly focused on the Silents he had seen, where were they, what were they doing, why did they show him the pot, what was the pot for?.

I slowly follow after the Doctor, taking my time. Once reaching the chair, I plop down into it. I pull my legs to my chest, tapping my shoe against the seat. Wrapping my arms around my legs, I look at the Doctor. "Don't be too excited." I say, watching him with a raised eyebrow. "Though that cheerfulness doesn't seem to be spreading to your eyes." I add narrowly before turning my head away from him. "And if I'm guessing correctly, I'm thinking about them too. You know, the Silence or whatever you call them." I bite my lip, looking up at the sky and blocking out anything else as my voice carries on. "Those big hands were worse than their hissing." I mumble as something is dropped near the ceremony's main platform. It clatters to the floor and a quiet 'sorry' is called out.

The ceremony begins, without the arrival nor the interruption of the Silence, as The Doctor had planned and guessed would happen. He eyed the ceremony curiously, especially for the arrival of the Silence but also the majesty and beauty of the ceremony as a whole. Who knows, maybe the Silence enjoy the ceremony as well and just decided to watch it He thought to himself. From the corner, a man dressed in yellow drapes scooted out in the center of the ceremony circle, his arms wide to his side before raising them upwards just as the light from the twin moons touching each other shinned through them.

The light shinned and hit a ceremonial rock, directly in the view of The Doctor; the rock glowed with life, the symbols shinning, sparkling as the light hit it. Once the light had passed down and the twin moons separated, the rock still held it's shine; the steam of the glowing symbols engraved in the stone smoking with heat from the light. The man walked over to the rock and hovered his hands over it and closing his eyes. As if on que, everyone around The Doctor and Loren closed their eyes and looked upwards, their arms out to their sides; The Doctor rose an eyebrow as he quickly began to get what was going on before the shriek of the man up in front echoed throughout the bleachers.

The man fell backwards, his hands covered in blood, his eyes open and body motionless as blood began to pour and run down the sides of the rock, emitting from the top. The Doctor stood up and gazed around the people around him to seemed to revel in pain, "Their psychically connected to the rock. The ceremony isn't just a religion or a way of life..but it is their lives! And the Silents..are making them bleed". The light from the glowing symbols and writings engraved in the rock began to fade as they were covered with blood that seeped into the engravings and covered them over.

"Putting aside everything else," I mumble, rising slowly from my chair, "that's just rude." I find myself running to the first person I see tumble to the ground. "And why the hell isn't it doing anything to us, huh? Because we don't follow their religious crap?" I wrap my arm around the stranger's shoulders, trying to steady whoever it is. I don't take the time to look. Blinking my eyes, I look back at the Doctor with a hard glare. "Stop the frickin' thing! Do something!" I'm yelling, but I'm already untangling myself from the stranger, running to the damned rock. I don't want to break it, or slam it on the ground, because frankly, I have no idea what the hell the Doctor meant by a psychic connection. I jump on the heels of my shoes, running my hands through my loose curls as I keep my eyes trained on the rock. "Don't just stand there!" I scream over to him, throwing a hand over one of my ears to block out the yells surrounding me.

The Doctor snapped from his gaze thanks to the shrieks of Loren, who stood at the bottom of the bleachers. Dashing down the metal steps, The Doctor quickly made his way over to the, still pouring, rock that shot out blood, his hands swept over the rock as fast as they good, trying to look for a fail switch to shut it off. But upon finding nothing to aid him in his purpose, The Doctor quickly flipped out his sonic screwdriver and frantically scanned over the ring of the rock until, finally, the rock stopped shooting out the blood, much to the relief of The Doctor. Taking a step back, he spun around and gazed out to the seemingly endless bodies of people who slowly started to get back on their feet, including the man in the cloak whom he rushed to the side of. "Thank..thank you" He hissed, sitting up and stopping as he tried to regain his breath, "I offer you a room in my house for payment of your deed. The night is strong and sleep is coming upon us..i recommend you gain some sleep for tomorrow..where we can discuss everything".

The man signaled for a guard to come over to him, where he told the man to escort The Doctor and Loren to his other house containing the room he offered to them. "Thank you" The Doctor replied to the man, bowing before him as he stood up then following the guard and gesturing Loren to follow him. The Doctor followed the guard nonchalantly, his hands hanging at his sides as they were still engulfed in blood from the rock, "I guess i'm not doing good with the safe trip huh?" he asked Loren, trying to lighten the mood a little bit. The doors opened automatically for the two and shut behind them after they entered. Inside was one king sized bed and a bathroom to the left portion of the small building which The Doctor immediately ran over to and washed himself off then flopped down onto the bed and stared up at the roof. "Silents. Blood. Psychological connections..memories..." He mumbled before engulfing his face into his hands as he released a frustrated groan, "Figures the Silents would give me the hardest time".

I watch the Doctor as he moves around the room quickly. Once he finally collapses onto the bed, I wander over as well, sitting down beside him. I pull my legs up, dragging my body back until I have enough room in front of me to stretch them out. By now, I'd be in baggy board shorts and a tank top, with my hair up and my annoying brother snoring loudly in the next room over. I sigh, craning my neck to look at the Doctor. "Don't beat yourself up about it. I really wasn't expecting a safe trip after all." I lean over slightly, pulling his hands away from his face. "And yeah, might be hard to solve right now, but nothing is impossible." I really suck at trying to make people feel better, even if it's some chick complaining about a broken nail. My hair falls around my face as I shove my eyebrows together, giving him a fake thoughtful and slightly serious look. I've never been the one to be totally serious either. "Besides, hopefully they're too busy right now trying to pick out a new damn name."

The Doctor smirked, looking over to Loren, listening intently to what she was saying, though he knew she was either being sarcastic or thought it proper to act this way in these troubling times. He nodded once she had finished, gazed back up to the ceiling as he placed his hands behind his head in relaxation, "Yeah..i've been through worse..much worse. Tonight they will sleep..but tomorrow...i can't say everyone will be safe unless we stop them before they can do anymore harm". Exhaling he pondered about the psychic connection the people had with the rock and the religion built off of it, and immediately guessed she had been wondering about it as well, "The psychic connection goes back thousands of years" he started, turning his body and attention to Loren as he spoke, "When something as powerful as religion is based off of a physical object it connects the people with it. Millions of people believing in one thing..placing their beliefs into it feeds it and establishes a psychological connection between it and it's people. Like..the budda statues for instance. Those people lived by it..fed off of it's energy. You destroy that..and you..destroy them as well..".

PostSubject: Re: In Cold Waters    In Cold Waters - Page 4 I_icon_minitimeWed Jul 24, 2013 4:42 pm

To be extremely, overly truthful, I wasn't listening. I got up, wandering towards the kitchen area to check the fridge. Inside, I find a water bottle along with a few other items. I grab the water, turning back around to face the Doctor with a shrug to whatever he was saying. "Then don't destroy it." I say once I realize what he's talking about. "No one asked you to destroy anything. Fixing a problem doesn't mean you have to take away everything negative about it." I sip some of the water, pull a funny face, and place the bottle on the counter. "That tastes like beans." I whine, wandering back over to the bed. I pull my hair up into a very messy bun, then direct my attention back to the Doctor. "I've never understood religion anyway. My mom believes in something, so does my little brother, but it seems kinda useless to me... There was this guy down the block by my house who was some sort of religious freak. He'd go to church everyday, pray about five hundred million times a day, and always wore a cross on his neck." I'm not sure why this conversation reminds me of him, or why I'm deciding to talk about him. "But, kinda like that rock out there, he was connected to that damn cross." I lay back, my head resting on a pillow I blindly found as I listen to our breathing. "Though the rock may be much more powerful than his jewelry, I think the Silence guys could get to him through that just as easily." I bite my lip, thinking over everything that's happened to day and everything the Doctor has said. "You can stop something without totally destroying it. The whole 'destroy them as well' thing you said. Yeah, totally too dramatic and slightly off. I give it a B minus." My words are thick with drowsiness as I roll onto my side, blinking my eyes as I look at him.

"I never said i was going to destroy it" The Doctor started, immediately picking up on her bored body language as she got her water then came back, "For most people their religion is their life. It's what keeps them going in the darkest times of their lives..it gives them something to believe in". Rolling over on his back, The Doctor stared at the ceiling once more, releasing a sigh, "I don't know. I've never been around somewhere long enough to pick up on that sort of thing. But that's not important. What's important is the Silents are trying to destroy these people through their religion..through what they believe in..their hopes and dreams to silence them forever".

Suddenly an idea struck The Doctor and he shot upright into a sitting up position, "That's it!" he proclaimed, turning his body to look back at Loren, "If the Silence think they can out power the people's religion then they're dead wrong! Why!? Because the people and their religion is one of the tightest bonds you'll find. Just like that man who carries around the cross. All we have to do is find out where and when the Silents are going to try it again, get everyone we can and have them pray. Pray to their religion. Send a massive feedback straight into the Silents, following the link back to them!". Bouncing up off of the bed, The Doctor raced to the door and called back, "Loren you're brilliant!!" over his shoulder as he passed through the frame of the door.

I groan, placing my hands over my face. "God," I mumble, rocking my head back and forth. "Am I supposed to come?" I yell, though it is more likely that he didn't hear me. But all the running without explanations is getting on my nerves. Although I know I do it often with my family and friends, sometimes even teachers, back home. Slowly rising from the bed, I wander slowly to the door, my hands placed on the frame as I peak out. "Seriously, you can probably do this by yourself, right?" I mutter, my tone bored and dull. Okay, so I'm not bored or dull, it's more of me pouting that I never even got a clearer explanation. I follow after him anyway, but I don't run. I'm too busy watching everyone else pass, some rubbing their heads and gossiping about their night of semi-terror. "Great, just what I need. A bunch of people who think this is gossip worthy."

The Doctor rolled his eyes, almost completely agitated about Loren's lack of enthusiasm, much less interest in what was going on. Of all the people to travel with him, not one complained about having to go do something interesting or dangerous, or even not be amazed about being on a foreign planet. Pausing in front of the double doors, The Doctor spun around and quickly walked back to Loren and meeting her in the hallway. Glaring down at her, he yanked out a disk from his suit pocket and handed it to her, "Don't want to be here? Leave. I'm not going to stop you. This disk is valid for one trip only..it'l take you back to that corner of yours which seems to be so much better than all of this" he began, "This is my life. This is the way i live..the places i go, the people i meet. And without me they will die. I stay in that room and do nothing then these people will die! I cannot sit back and watch that happen! You want to go, fine! Just hurry up and do it because i've got better things to do than sit here and argue with you about what is fun and what isn't".

Without another word, The Doctor turned and dashed out of the hotel, leaving Loren with the disc he gave her and the thoughts she was sure to have. Or not, he honestly didn't care. At this point his main focus as the people and stopping the Silence, whatever deems necessary.

I smirk, because that's what I accepted him to do. Looking down at the disk, I can practically see my own reflection and it amuses me for a half a second. "This would be a good prank someday, now wouldn't it?" I whisper, my breath fogging it up before I pull away. Spinning on my heels, I run in the opposite direction towards another exit and down several alleys made up of tents until I get to one in particular. The one I faintly remember from before, though I only had passed it once this whole time being here. It just felt strange. A tent that supposedly held a four eyed psychic. I wander right in, though I almost had the urge to knock.

"Hello?" I call out and the man sitting across a lame looking crystal ball jumps. "I'm Loren. And... Take off those damn eyes before they start itching, would you?" I mutter and the psychic grumbles something under his breath. But he proceeds to do what I told him to do. "See, I don't believe in psychics. 'Cause if you were one, you'd know why I'm here." I sit down across from him as he shrugs and hesitates. "Ah... Love? Lost child?" I roll my eyes, "I'm eighteen. But, come on. You could have tried a little harder. No, I just got a guy with a freaking title for a name kinda angry just so I had a reason to take off. To come here. Because I don't believe in psychics. And most religions don't either." I raise my eyebrows and the man clears his throat, but I continue anyway. "He thinks going directly to the source is the best reason. I don't really work that way, I guess. And I know there's always some people who agree with the problem." I snatch one of the eyes he had set on the table, turning it over to see plenty of wiring. "Title guy can deal with the bad guys. But it's much more fun to see why the hell you agree with them. Or watch when some try to sneak away and come here. To the guy who thinks their plans are genius or something."

As if on cue, a Silent steps out from behind a curtain. I grin like a six year old on a sugar rush. "Prior," it hisses and I really can't resist rolling my eyes again. "Look, pick a better tent idea next time. Do the math." I take the fake eye and press it against the disk, tossing it quickly over to the Silent, who greedily catches it. I wonder if he thought it was something else. But he's gone in an instant. "I really, really hope that thing rewired that disk fast enough to just make it do what I wanted." I say, glancing at the psychic, who shrugs. "Oh, great. You're a better mime." I lean back in the chair, breathing slowly through my parted lips. If I was right, and maybe sorta clever, the Silent should have ended up right back in their main tent area... Thing. Oh god.

The Silent fell face first into the, damp, cold, hard floor that lay beneath what was the main tent; now only rumble and complete ash and destruction to the outside world. But inside, it was a different story. Inside was the same pot, the pot that they previously used to bleed out the ancient rock and corner stone of the surrounding religion. "You have it.." Another silent hissed as it approached the fallen silent, who gradually stood up and replied with a firm nod before taking out the disc, "Yes. With this we can travel back in time...back to true silence...and make sure..these religions..these people..were never..created". The four silents surrounding the one silent nodded and glanced at one another before the main silent turned around, facing the completely unbeknownst civilians who patrolled the streets, some glancing over to the remnants of the main tent, only to look away a second later.

Meanwhile,

The Doctor raced down the pathways, spinning and turning on the heel of his shoes as he turned corners. Groups of people watched, completely baffled as The Doctor raced past them, some laughing, many shaking their heads, and none asking questions. But then he stopped dead in his tracks, turning to face what remained of the tent. His eyes were telling him there was nothing there, but his mind was urging him to run over there, see what was truly there, behind the perceptive lines. Raising an eyebrow, The Doctor took a step forward towards the remnants of the main tent, his eyes set on the destroyed tent, "Why place a massive perceptive field over a destroyed tent?" he asked himself out loud, "Unless...".

I glance at the mute psychic with a distraught frown. "I just gave them what they wanted, didn't I? Totally just screwed it up even more." And to my surprise, the guy actually manages a funny little nod. He's also probably mocking me to all hell in that jacked up head of his. I roll my eyes, standing from the chair to wander close to the entrance of the tent. "I need to go get it back. It's my fault, I'll clean it up." I sound much more sure of the situation outside of my own head, when inside, I'm screaming my lungs out. Figuratively. The psychic stays watching my every move, or at least I think he is. The hairs on the back of my neck are sticking up like someone's would in a horror movie. But I couldn't remember why. Turning around slowly, I blink. "How long has the other one been here, huh?" I snap, the muscle in my jaw twitching from what I want to label frustration, though it's more of anger towards the supposedly annoying mime psychic. Though how he's annoying is beyond me. I stand facing another Silent, this one already using his electrical powers to his advantage. The psychic is slumped in his chair, his eyes rolled back. Which, if he wasn't dead and I wasn't be stared down by a creepy Davy Jones kind of thing, would be rather funny. Biting the inside of my cheek, I step forward, almost expecting it to just stare me down like any other bad guy would probably do. If it were human and maybe an actor. "Prior," it hisses, just like the other one. And I see one of the bolts circling around it fire out. And I feel something burn against my neck. And I can see things, but I can't focus my mind enough to concentrate on running. My knees buckle and I tumble sideways.

Extending out his hand, The Doctor immediately met the invisible metal wall, hitting it and causing an echo of sound waves throughout the entire establishment, revealing it's true size to The Doctor who watched with a growing open mouthed smile and those civilians who just so happened to look over as they walked by. Finding the entrance based on how the sound traveled, The Doctor flipped out his sonic screwdriver as he entered, his eyes dancing around the interior as it opened up to him. Suddenly, instead of the outside festivals, he was surrounded by cold, dark, metal walls at both his sides before branching out into a wider central area where six Silents stood hovering over the same metal cauldron containing gallons of blood. "The stage is set.." One Silent hissed, glancing over at the other Silents as it spoke, "The prior girl is the last part of our plan. She must be silenced" another Silent spoke out, "Another is taking care of that".

The Doctor paused for a moment, thinking back to Loren whom he had just recently given the disc for a trip to; could she have stayed? Could she have changed her mind? Shaking his head stubbornly, The Doctor pulled his attention back to the Silents who took a step closer to the pot. Without another thought in his mind, The Doctor jumped out, a smirk on his face and a nonchalant attitude about him as he strolled into the center of the building. "Look at this place!" He proclaimed, immediately grabbing their attention, "Perception filter completely engulfing it and yet i can still find it." he chuckled, "Either i'm getting really good or you guys are just getting plain out lazy. Better hope that's not the case for you lot because if you were lazy then you probably miss judged the power of belief of that religion you just tried to kill. Not to mention my friend Prior over there". The silence from The Silents after his statement forced a bigger smile on his face, "Ohahaha! Look at this! Silents caught with their pants down! Hold on, hold on, let me see if i can map this out. You thought my companion was going to just bend down to the sight of you..and you thought that those people would just automatically give up their religion because of your little incident there, so you mistakenly connected the blood with the psychological frequencies." "Our plan is flawless! There shall be silence!" One Silent protested.

"Alright then, what would happen if that blood you've manufactured to react with the psychological brain waves of the citizens just so happened to get on you and..well..you were spotted by every single person in the festival" The Doctor asked, twirling his sonic screwdriver between his fingers, The Silents looked from side to side then back to The Doctor who activated his screwdriver. Immediately the perception filter of the building fluctuated and people began to walk in. With The Silents distracted by the growing number of people walking through the building, The Doctor rushed to the cauldron and flipped it over, pouring the blood all over The Silents.

I groan, lifting a hand to press my palm against my forehead. But a cold wire was already going around my skin. Blinking my eyes open, I realize I am still on the ground of the psychic's tent. And the psychic is hovering over me. "Weren't you dead?" I mumble, my words slurred. I lick my lips, blinking my eyes a few more times as I shift my head to the side, pressing my cheek to the floor. "I remember you being dead." My speech sounds worse, my tongue thick in my mouth, feeling like a weight. The psychic shakes his head, long, unwashed hair falling into his dark eyes. Still, he didn't speak and I was beginning to wonder if he just couldn't all together. But me being me, I can easily talk for the both of us. "Where'd that Flying Dutchman crew guy go?" His eyebrows scrunch together and I assume my speech sounds so awful, the words aren't even coming out accurately. Oh, boy. Do something. My arms fling up, then drop down straight after, something tight around my wrists dragging them back to the floor. And I laugh. I laugh loudly and obnoxiously, but nothing's funny. And I can't stop until a hand smacks over my mouth. The psychic's eyes are wide, and his head moves frantically back and forth. I narrow my eyes, looking over his shoulder at the Silent standing in the background.

When the hand lifts, I suck in a sharp breath, attempting to control my breathing. "What? What do you want? You have the damn disc already." I snap and my voice doesn't sound as drowsy this time around. "Your blood. You're the key," it hisses and I grind my teeth together. "I see several holes in that response. Being my blood, not yours. And I'm not a key. Sorry," I whisper and the metal wire around my forehead heats up. But it's just this one Silent. This one Silent and a mute psychic. My eyes turn towards the mime guy again, studying him until he cracks under my gaze. He turns his back to me.

The Doctor watched as each person glared at the Silents, seeing them as the cause behind the horrific sight and event at the ceremony. Immediately their emotions boiled like heated water, their minds reconnecting with the religion they all very nearly gave up on. "You all shall become silent.." One Silent hissed, taking a step forward; the people, that had become a very large numbered group, looked at one another then chuckled, "You first! Our beliefs are stronger than you..our beliefs not only in our religion but in each other!" a woman proclaimed. As each word poured out of the woman's mouth, the blood that was stained on the Silents began to burn, releasing a steam as it grew hotter with each passing second. Eventually, The Silent's began to turn their attentions to the blood that began to burn them, the steam growing more prominent in the atmosphere causing alert in The Doctor.

"Everyone!! Out!!" The Doctor exclaimed, gesturing everyone out as he ran past the screaming Silents who burned with the same blood they planned to use against the people that stared at them this very moment. Seeing the fear in The Doctor's eyes, the people immediately began to turn and rush out of the building; within minutes, the building was empty, leaving The Doctor the last one out as he slammed the doors shut behind him and sealed them shut with his sonic screwdriver. Releasing a breath of relief, The Doctor went to tuck his sonic screwdriver away before an idea struck his mind. Loren. Dashing away from the building, The Doctor ran back though the marketplace, frantically looking for Loren, not knowing where exactly she was, "Loren?!?" he called out, "Loren!?".

Biting the inside of my cheek hard, I swerve my neck to the best of my ability, peaking at the tent's entrance. I can hear my name being called somewhere outside, but when I try to sit up, the wire digs in further. "Crap," I yelp, struggling to get my arms free, though it doesn't work. They also dig in deeper. "Plan B. Plan B sounds really, very good." I whisper and I hear the Silent step closer to me. I jerk to attention, staring at it with my eyes wide and drips of my blood coming from a shallow cut in my forehead directly under the wire. "The key," it whispers and I twist my head away. "Doctor!" I yell, as loud as I possibly can. My throat feels dry, the simple word coming out in a rasp, but still loud enough that I hope he hears me. The Silent steps closer, the electric bolts surrounding it as if it were an idle threat. "You will be silenced." It says and I can't help but roll my eyes. "Clever. Real clever. How's that gonna happen? A hand over my mouth?" And it happens again, or at least what I assume happened before happens again. A smaller, most likely less damaging electric bolt stings my skin, burning my neck. And my mind fuzzes again.

The Doctor stopped, his teeth gritting against each other as he ran his hand through his hair, his eyes dancing around the marketplace, frantically looking for any sign of Loren. Then, there was a yell. His name echoing over the rooftops around him, through the streets of the marketplace, grabbing his attention immediately. "Loren?!!" The Doctor called out once more as he sped off to where he thought the cry had emitted from; as he passed, the faces of the surrounding groups became more dire and fearful as he continued. Giving him a make shift directions, the more worried they were, the closer he was getting to Loren. Then; everything stopped along with The Doctor, who peered around him, looking for any sign, but nobody was giving him anything, not even any physical signs of Loren or an attack as her voice was indicating.

A nearby merchant glanced up from his stand, his eyes shooting over to the psychic's tent then back over to The Doctor, "Hey!" he called over to him, "The scream came from over there...we don't want any trouble here so if i ask you to go solve that before another cry emits". Although the man seemed more worried about his product sales than the safety of Loren, and possibly the people around him, The Doctor replied with a nod and strode over to the tent. The man could have been easily lying to him but that feeling was immediately shot down the closer he got as his eyes caught up on a flash of light emitting from within the tent. "Loren!" The Doctor exclaimed, pushing the entrance door aside and barging inside only to be immediately met by the cold gaze of The Silent and the psychic, who sat aimlessly behind his table. Shaking his head, as if to tell The Doctor not to interfere, the psychic slowly stood up and ran out of the tent via the back door; obviously something he created himself in the case that his customers found out his tricks and false truths.

The Silent hissed, moving it's extended fingers away from the back of Loren and over to The Doctor, who held his sonic screwdriver firmly in his left hand. "She will become ours. She will become silence" It grumbled, it's voice cracked; The Doctor simply returned the glare, "No" he spat, "Your plans are done. You've lost! Can't you get that through your head? The other Silent's are gone..destroyed by the very thing you tried to kill these people with...now i'm going to offer you a choice. A choice to leave and never return!". The Doctor stopped as he stepped in front of Loren, who still laid on the grass floor, "You leave and you leave with your life. Stay..and i cannot promise the same because Loren Prior is under my protection! and as long as i live, she will be protected! These people..this planet will always be protected.", The Silent cocked its head to the right, "And who are you to deny the Silents of a victory?" it hissed, "I'm The Doctor! And under the rights under the ratification of the shadow proclamation, i am ordering you to leave!!!".

There's only certain things I focus on as I struggle again. Like the Doctor's sudden entrance and the psychic's departure. The static sounds fade once the Doctor finishes speaking. I don't look, but I can tell the Silent is no longer in the room. I hadn't thought the Silence were ones to run, but this one was all alone... Managing to squirm one of my wrists out, I fumble to get the wire off my forehead. Once I do, I feel fresh blood coming down my cheek. "Under your protection, huh?" I mumble to the Doctor, then start working on getting my other wrist free. Letting the Silent go isn't settling well with me, but honestly, I'm more grateful for the selfish departure. When my other wrist is free, I get to my feet. "I'd apologize for earlier, but I'm not really sorry." I say after a moment of just standing there, staring at the back exit I assume the Silent made a break out of.

The Doctor knelt down next to Loren, giving her a understanding nod as he glanced down to the ground then back up at her, "Every single person that comes through those blue wooden doors are my responsibility the very moment they set out...i've lost people before...people i have cared about" he started, "Never again..not while i can stop it. So under my protection..yeah..just a bit". He managed a slight chuckle before the smirk disappeared and he gestured to the exit with his head as he stood up, "Come on.." he told her. Placing his hands nonchalantly into his pockets as he strode across the grassy pasture in front of him, his eyes set onto the TARDIS which loomed in the distance but his mind was fixated on Loren. How she had acted throughout this seemingly short adventure they had; like she'd rather be on the corner than see the universe with a time traveler. Though, it wasn't like this was the first companion that was inside of the TARDIS that didn't want to really be there and were relatively nasty throughout the entire journey.

Shaking his head, The Doctor fixed onto a conclusion, something he knew Loren would enjoy and something that probably should have been done the moment the night of Halloween was over with . Take her home

I don't follow him straight away, my eyes are still lingering on the exit. "Oh, boy." I whisper under my breath, knowing full well what I need now. I need to go home, I need a nap. I need... To keep staring at this exit for a minute longer while I collect my stupid thoughts. Biting my lip, I finally glance over my shoulder at his departing figure. I need to watch my mom find another guy to date for a single night. I need to hear my brother's obnoxious snores. I turn, walking slowly towards the Doctor. I need to explain myself. "Hey, wait." I say gently, catching up to his side as I turn my head towards him. "I acted like that for a reason, you know. And it might have backfired in my face, but I was curious. And... And I want to go home. Not because I know you're about to take me there." I'm not sure what to say at first, or what to think, but I pause, look at the TARDIS in the distance, then back at the Doctor.

"I'd rather be on my corner than see the universe because it's what I'm used to and that's where the people who need me most are. And because I might be eager to see everything, but I can't. Not now, when my reality needs me." I'm not sure where I'm going with my huge speech. I feel like a idiot. I stop walking right at the doors of the TARDIS. "I had a cousin once. Lives in London, I think. She went off to travel with a guy after going to some fair or circus or something. Didn't come back for a while. I mean, months passed until we heard from her again. It was just some letter, then she took off." I cross my arms, "And as much as I enjoyed this trip gone haywire, I don't want to end up being a letter in the mail." I watch him for a minute, knowing partly that my speech made more sense in my head than out loud. "Just... Don't think you know me because I acted the way I needed to act once. Open your box."

The Doctor listened intently to Loren's awkward speech, pondering deeply about what she said, but he understood, several, if not the majority, of his companions left because of the same reason. It was a reality that he was used to and definitely no stranger to the idea. But when she brought up the circus and the letter home, The Doctor paused, just as he placed his key into the slot. Immediately an image flashed in his mind, an image that caused a slight smirk to appear on his face before falling off as he pushed open the doors and allowed Loren through first. Walking in after her, he closed the doors behind him then tucked his key into his pocket, "Oh but she was never just a letter" he began again, walking up to the control console, "Brilliant she was..bit like you now that i think of it. Toni Lucas her name was....she left too, went home because of the same reason. Got bored of this life..scared".

He paused, lowering his head before gazing up to Loren, "I visit them..." he said in a lower toned voice, "Their families..to the ones that left in a less than happy circumstance...sometimes even them." he chuckled sadly, "Just pop back for a little bit..she them before they knew me..when they're life was better. Because they never leave me...they're inside of me, they are me..if i've learned anything from those that travel with me, it's that..over my nine hundred years of living..i would be nothing without them". Walking over to the scanner, he pulled it over to him and set coordinates for Earth, exactly one minute after they left, "Toni Lucas..wherever she is..she's not forgotten..none of them are or will ever be..no matter who much it seems i've forgotten. Don't ever think it's not the worst thing in the world..having to drop of those letters..placing them in the mailboxes and seeing the family through the window..or bringing their bodies home to their families". Stopping the speech before it broke out into something overly emotional for The Doctor, he thrust down the lever and quickly sent the TARDIS back in time and space, roaring straight to that infamous street corner where he first picked her up.

As the TARDIS disappeared from the corner with The Doctor and Loren inside of it, venturing off to their first journey, this TARDIS materialized directly next to where it was. Landing with a slight thud and a groan from the time rotor. Standing up straight, The Doctor looked over to the doors then leaned up against his control console, placing his hands nonchalantly into his pockets, "Nothing like it" he told Loren, forcing a smile as he glanced over to her.

I lean against the railing, studying the Doctor, then the time rotor. "Yeah, well... I can bet you my cousin didn't leave for any reason of getting bored. I mean, Toni doesn't get bored. Several years ago, on Christmas, she had visited my family. Told her I was bored of... Well, whatever we were doing and she practically killed me on the spot. Hates the very word." I say, watching him pocket his hands as I sigh, lifting my head up to stare at the ceiling of the TARDIS. "But she doesn't like to get too attached to things. I know that. So she probably left because she was... Getting too attached. You know, with what happened to her brother and all. And her parents. Plus the ex-boyfriends and everything else crappy in her life." I look back at the Doctor, raising an eyebrow as I offer a light hearted smirk. "But hey, she's reckless now. Off doing anything and everything. Gets arrested sometimes, from what the letter said. But she's happy. Her life is better, because of you. So there's one person you can put in a different category of past companions. One person you didn't totally mess up." My voice trails off and I find myself done with my thoughts. Done with my non existing filter, because I had practically just said everything on my mind. So I walk to the doors, open one, and step out.
