Her name is Seliena. She is a Cel.
Before I go any further, allow me to explain a few things. Firstly is what happened to the Tulvan Siren. The revolver toting, mask wearing, blue-haired assassin.
The Siren sat up sleepily, and looked around. The light of this solar Austen's sun, Sol, struggled to penetrate the blinds of her apartment. The Tulvan sighed and threw off the blanket keeping her in bed. She got to her feet, supporting herself with a hand on the featureless white wall of the room, and groaned. "Why does my head hurt so much?" A hand found it's why to the bedside table's drawer, and pulled it open. The contents of the drawer included a revolver, several batteries, and a small plastic container. She opened the container and swallowed two small tablets of ibuprofen. These headaches had become increasingly painful, to the point that The Siren sometimes fell to the floor, clutching her head. She took a shaky step towards the door of the room and fell forward. The floor greeted her forehead with a light tap. The assassin groaned and rolled onto her back. "I should see a Do-" she cut the sentence short. Don't even say it. Damned Timelords. The Siren carefully climbed back into bed. "Maybe I'll just... Have a rest." She sighed and laid her head on the pillow, skull throbbing. Sleep came soon. Disturbed dreams of a place that the Tulvan had visited before came to her, a place called New Lux. Her eyes opened once more a few hours later, the headache no better. The Siren gritted her teeth and grabbed her revolver, and went to the closet. A half an hour later, she had managed to pull on some clothes, her mask, and a vortex manipulator. She had an overwhelming urge to go to New Lux, and decided it was probably for the hospitality. A bit of time travel later and she was there.
The medical facilities of New Lux had a new resident a few days later, who was put in a coma for her own sake. There had been immense stress on her brain, something to do with memories. Nobody could quite pinpoint the problem. The Cel lived on for many, many years. The patient was sustained by the advanced technology for as long as the empire lived.
Now, I think whoever has had the misfortune of reading these documents should know, the first Siren was a Timelady. Each Siren passes on the title for reasons they are not entirely aware of. Each Siren also has reports of intense headaches and migraines near the transferring of the title.
Shall we take a look at the next in line for this title?
As said earlier, her name is Seliena. Cel do not have family names, because they are built. She was the a warrior class Cel and the Arbiter. It was her duty to act as a sort of judge on whether or not a planet should be approached by the empire, or left to itself. It was also her duty to ensure that the Cel's military was well supplied. As a hobby, Seliena enjoyed tinkering with machines. This was considered odd (and slightly morbid) in Cel society. A machine that enjoyed building other machines? All Cel production is automated, as most have a distaste for constructing things of the mechanical nature. She had been judging a planet known for being conquered a obscene number of times. The inhabitants acted very submissive to the great golden ships in orbit, not even attempting to take precautions against treachery. The planet was judged insignificant and Seliena showed open contempt for it, but her wish to blast it out of existence was denied by the Cel's leaders. She sent her escort of four ships ahead to New Lux, the flagship of the Cel Fleet had defeated countless enemies in one-on-one combat. The ship was not, however, equipped to battle anomalies. It was not an adaptable vessel, it was a powerful one. When the bend in space appeared just off the vessel's starboard side, it was sucked towards it and could not right it's orbit before the planet's gravity took over. The crash destroyed all traces of life within a fifty mile radius. It had been a massive vessel, running on a incredibly powerful energy source that could cause cataclysm on a horrific scale if not contained properly. The damage would have been much worse if nobody on the ship had thought to eject the power source in an escape pod.
You're probably asking right about now "Storyteller, how did Seliena survive?" Well, shut up and listen. The anomaly tore a small, minuscule hole in the ship. The hole had been nowhere important, just some corridor. The problem was that the Arbiter had been walking down that corridor to the bridge. She was sucked out into space and entered the anomaly, which disappeared just a second later.
The next Siren found herself falling for several hundred feet up, towards a cornfield. The impact killed her energy shielding and damaged her badly. The Cel made her way East with one arm and no equipment except a blade very much similar to the katana, and her multitool. Said multitool was pretty much every engineer and mechanic's dream. She eventually found a city called Indianapolis and took up residence in an alley few came through. The Siren collected parts overtime and built a device that would regenerate her energy shielding, and add some interesting features. She could no longer manipulate light, and her shields couldn't stop. A bullet, but they could take some impact. They also had been modified to give her the appearance of a thin human with pale skin, bright green eyes, and black hair that tumbled down her back and over her shoulders. (she also, of course, replaced the arm as soon as possible.) It took another few years of collecting, but she managed to make the shielding feel like skin and hair and so on, effectively making her a human with metal bones and a ticking instead of heartbeat. There was a nasty moment where she cut herself on some glass, and scared some poor homeless man, but that's of little consequence. Oh, she also doesn't sleep in an ally anymore, and has had many showers since then.
So there you have it! Our next Siren. I imagine she'll do better than the previous one. The previous one was, after all, a criminal and Timelord hunter.
