A New Point Of View

Robin jerked her head up at the sound of the Doctor's voice, not helping her current situation. "What? Oh, um..." She frowned, trying to remember the last time she checked. "About 90 pounds?" She shrugged, hoping he could do the math. The last time she bothered to find out, she was in America, so that was all she had to go off of. "What do they measure in here?" She asked curiously, eyes looking over the Doctir and out the door to see what was outside. Purple clouds... Interesting. The corners of her mouth curved upwards a bit, the sight of an alien planet cheering her up a tad.

Robin giggled, slowly getting to her feet. She'd move faster if she wasn't worried about falling over. Once she finally got her balance, it was a bit easier to make it out the door and onto the planet outside. Head tilted up, she immediately grinned at the clouds, wondering why Earth couldn't have something cool like this. Looking ahead, she giggled again, comparing the grass to the dead version on Earth. If dead looking grass was what it took to get colored clouds, maybe it wasn't worth it. "Well if we've got a place to go..." She stated, turning to the Doctor. "Where are we going?"

Robin listened to the Doctor a he rambled on, strolling around and taking a look at things before he told her exactly where they were going. She had to bite back a giggle an pretend she didn't learn about this in history class already. That would sort of give away that she was from the 53rd century, and she didn't want that. The longer he thought she was just a normal Earth girl, the better. She flinched as he steered her towards the Drug Rehab center. Sighing, she crossed her arms and followed him inside. This whole thing was a bit embarrassing, as if she would ever willingly do drugs. Once they reached the counter, she ducked her head down a bit, feeling it redden at the mention of her addiction.

Robin bit her lip, following the other two down the hall. Nothing bad was going to happen right? Just.. Do whatever it is she has to do and be done. Simple. As she walked into the room, her heart skipped a beat. An IV. A needle. Oh no... She looked up to see the nurse leading her to the bed when she remembered she had stopped walking. Her eyes flickered over to the Doctor's, the back to the woman's face as she laid down. Her eyes widened as she brought the needle close to her skin, wanting to pull away but not wanting anything to happen. "I-Is there another w-way? P-Please, anything but a n-needle.." She shot a scared glance at the Doctor, knowing he was much better at words than she was.

Robin yelped as the nurse dropped the IV, jerking herself away from it. Her brain finally registering what the Doctor had just said, she felt a wave of relief wash over her. Pills. Pills would be just fine. She sat up slowly, the dizziness settling in again. Wait, what? She'd have to stay there overnight? Ugh. She was still fine with it - better than being stuck with another needle. "Woah!" She almost collapsed as she was dragged off the bed, her feet barely finding a grip in time. She rushed to keep up with the energetic Time Lord, having a question to ask. "Imari what now? Is that even a thing?" She murmured.

Robin blinked, looking back and forth at the retreating forms of the Doctor and the nurse. ((Hehe)) Rolling her eyes, she walked over to her door and swiped the key card, sort of wanting to follow the Time Lord and see what he was doing but preferring to get rid of this addiction. Strolling inside, she shut the door behind her, seeing a simple bed and table with a lamp, cup, and water pitcher. Okay, that makes taking the pill easier. Sighing, she flopped down on the bed, immediately regretting it from the wave of nausea that came after it. She was starting to think these symptoms weren't just in her head, a frown planting itself on her features. Well this was gonna be boring.

Peering around the corner up ahead, the Doctor checked the hallway before strolling out and making his way along it, looking at the doors on either side of him curiously before stopping at one and knocking on it lightly. "Just a visitor wanting to say hello to the neighbors, open up would ya?" He called cheerfully, clasping his hands behind his back as he rocked on his feet. The door in front of him opened slowly, a pair of green eyes peering out at him before a pale hand darted out and dragged him inside. "They didn't see you did they?"

Blinking at the woman in front of him, he studied her bone-thin face and frowned in confusion. "Who are they and why shouldn't they see me? I'm a visitor, I can walk around if I want to, they didn't warn me from doing it, so I'm doing it. Then again, I probably would anyway if they said I shouldn't." He added as an afterthought before looking back at the woman again. "What are you in for anyway?" She shifted on her feet, her eyes moving to the door constantly in quick glances, from the way she stood and acted he guessed she was frightened. Probably withdrawal from something she was on before coming here.

"This place isn't right. I came in to get off of Nuclear Powders you know? I opted for the pills because I just cannot stand needles!" She cried suddenly, her hands reaching up and grasping her hair tightly as she paced back and forth in front of him in a panic. Startled, the Doctor reached out and gripped her wrists, gently pulling her hands down and staring her in the face with worry written across his. "What are they doing to you?"

A sudden knock sounded on Robin's door followed by a deep male voice calling out gently, "Open up, It's time for your pill Miss."

Robin jumped, looking over to the door. Oh, okay. Just the pill. Getting to her feet, she walked over and opened the door, smiling politely at the man there. "Okay, thanks." She took the pill from his hands, moving to close the door when he stopped her. "I have to watch you to make sure you take it, Miss." She frowned, reluctantly taking her hand off the door. "Alright..." What was he some kind of perv? Moving over to the table, she poured a glass of water before popping the pill in her mouth and swallowing it down with a sip. "Blech..." She took another sip of the water to try and get the taste out of her mouth, finding it didn't help much. Glancing over to where the man was a moment ago, she frowned. He was gone. Well then... She walked over and shut the door, then flopped onto the mattress once more.

Robin yawned, curling up under the blanket provided for her. Why was she so tired? Side effect maybe? At least she didn't have to be awake through this whole ordeal. Her eyelids dropped as she felt her senses dwindle. It wasn't exactly reassuring, but if she was going to sleep, it was worth it for the few moments. She waited. And waited. And waited. Why wasn't she sleeping yet? This was all taking a bit too long wasn't it? She tried to roll over, to get up and do something to tire her out, but... She couldn't. She didn't really feel like she was trying either, just sort of... Staring. Her vision began to blur a bit, her mind slowly blanking. What was going on?

Robin stared blankly at the wall across the room, her mind much too dull to think properly. She thought she might have heard the faint click of the door opening, but couldn't even decide if she was sure. Then she felt a tiny bit of pressure taken off of her and things felt the slightest bit colder. Did someone move the blanket? Her vision told her that she was moving, and the little spots of warmth on her back along with the blob of... Something entering her sight made her think someone might be carrying her. Blinking slowly, she felt a shift in weight - a change in position? Her head lolled to the side as she was pushed out of the room in the wheelchair, her body slowly slumping over onto the arm.

The man in the lab coat rushed through the doors and into the hall, taking a sharp left and slowing down a tad, as if he didn't feel the need to hurry anymore. As he pushed the defenseless Robin about, his eyes awaited the sight of the room they were heading for. The sooner they got there the better.

Robin was jolted as the pushed through another set of doors, hitting her head on one of them as she came through. There were definitely some kinds of sounds around her, but everything was muffled. She vaguely though of the Doctor and where he might be. Where was he now?

Making a quick decision, the Doctor twisted to the right and began running in that direction, his eyes locked in front of him as he tried to find a clue, a hint of something that would tell him where Robin was. Finally a green door flashing past him caught his eye and he glanced to the other side to see another one. At least he was going in the right direction, that was all he needed to know to keep going.

Up ahead of him were a pair of double doors, putting on an extra burst of speed he bolted through them into a scene he didn't want to see. Robin being strapped to a table and an IV hooked to her arm, an odd colored liquid seeping up through the tube and into the bag hooked to it. "Who the hell are you?" A voice demanded from behind him, causing the Doctor to spin around and glower at the man in a labcoat behind him. "I'm here to stop you if you don't mind, now get out of my way before I make you." He said darkly, a dangerous tone seeping into his voice as he spoke before turning back around and striding over to Robin, a hand coming out to pull the IV from her arm gently and lifting the young girl into his arms.

Turning back around, he was faced by two guards holding guns up and pointed directly at his chest. "I wouldn't try that if I were you. It's never a good thing to shoot at someone like me." The labcoat scoffed from the side, causing the Doctor to look over at him, eyebrows raised up as if in surprise he had the audacity to do that. "And what exactly are you going to do? We have guns, you have a drugged little girl in your arms."

A dark look crossed the Doctor's features, making the labcoat step back slightly from the sight of it. "I am no one to mess with. I'm going to take my friend back to my ship, put her there then I'm going to come back here to stop you. Or you could pack up and leave before I get back, your choice." Without another word, he strode towards the guards and shoved them out of his way with his shoulders and began walking down the hallway, ignoring the empty threats the men shouted behind him.

((Alright, you collar me, brand me, drug me, torture me, screw with my mind, get me addicted to meth, and then steal my soul. What next? Feel like sacrificing me to satan?!))

Robin's arm twitched as the Doctor removed the IV. She could scarcely feel him pick her up, but that was it. She shivered, feeling as though she lost something. Right now she could barely tell which way was up, so she was going to have some questions later. Her eyes slowly blinked shut, too tired to bother to keep them open. The next thing she could even remotely recognize was the faint sound of voices chattering. Where did they go? She tried her hardest to focus, to do something, make some sort of noise, but all she could manage was a tiny, almost silent, whimper.

Hearing Robin's whimper, the Doctor's grip only tightened slightly as he picked up the pace, heading through the main door and back into the dorm hallway, mentally mapping out the area to remember where the exit was. Bloody humans, using everything they can to destroy each other everywhere he went anymore. Looking down at Robin, his look darkened. And now it was his fault she was in this position, always his fault it seemed lately. Turning another corner, he spotted the exit and began running towards it, using his shoulder to push it open when they reached the end of the hallway and running out into the store itself. "Hold on, Robin. We're almost to the TARDIS. Just hang on." He managed to mumble, ignoring the worker there as she tried to stop him and running out the doors, heading back towards where he parked the ship.

Robin thought she may have felt him hold on tighter, but she wasn't sure. She had no idea where she was or what was going on. The muffled sound of the Doctor's voice was a tiny bit soothing, at least showing she wasn't just being kidnapped. She hoped. All she wanted to do was fall asleep, was that too much to ask? Just to pass out and be able to ignore this whole mess. The next thing she knew, she was hearing the very faint hum of the TARDIS, a sense of relief washing over her. Definitely not a stranger.

Rushing past the control room, the Doctor quickly carried Robin back into the Med Bay and gently laid her on the cot. Before he could do anything else, a sudden loud bang shook the TARDIS slightly, startling him and making the Doctor whip his head around and stare back towards the way they came from. "Bloody humans." He frowned and checked on Robin before making his way back into the control room. Pulling the screen around, he stared at it for a moment then slapped his hand down on the button next to it, activating the speakers as he did. "I told you not to mess with someone like me." He finally said, watching as the Lab Coat and his goons continued to break the doors down in front of them.
