Forgotten Memories

Chapter One: Bad News

All he heard was screaming, then silence.

Adam opened his eyes slowly, the room blindingly bright. The only sound was the rhythmic beep, which he knew was the machine taking his pulse. This was a hospital. He went to get up, but pain shot through his entire body, and he cried out, causing a man approach.

“Don't move Adam, you need time to rest.”

“Who are you?”

“Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, I'm sure you're wondering why you're here. It has to do with your parents. I'm afraid you were in an accident. They didn't make it.”

Adam was in a shock, no tears fell, just..nothing. He didn’t even remember his mom and dad, or, anything before hand. All he knew was his name was Adam, and he was in pain, but being treated at some hospital.

The Brigadier sat down next to him, before finally telling what was to come.

“We are sending you away to America, to live with a family we know will take care of you. I guess you could say they're family friends. Their names are Amelia and Rory Williams. They will take care of you.”
