| Parking the TARDIS in a narrow alleyway, the Doctor studied the screen for a moment before nodding to himself in satisfaction and walking outside of the ship. Closing and locking the door behind him, the Time Lord examined his surroundings. "London... About 2060." He murmured idly, his hands moving up to straighten his jacket and moving out of the shadowed alley and onto the sidewalk it intersected with. With a small huff of air, he watched the wisp of steam rise up in front of him idly before realizing it was cold out and felt a wide grin appear on his face. Winter, interesting things always happened around Christmas, maybe he was lucky today. The Random button on the TARDIS tended to stick him around mid-summer most of the time, but now it seemed to have landed him during a colder month. "Right then! Off I go." He announced to no one in particular before setting off down the sidewalk, completely ignoring the odd looks tossed in his direction from the random announcement he made.
Grinning brightly at everything around him, the Doctor noted the Christmas decorations being displayed in shop windows along with brightly wrapped gifts ready to be bought and tucked away for the most anticipated day of the year. From how it looked, it wasn't Christmas yet, but it had to be a few weeks away at most considering the slightly frantic pace the shoppers were going at. "Last minute presents it looks like." Continuing to talk to himself, he strode along, hands tucked away in their respective pockets before a sudden, warm waft of coffee-scented air washed across his face. Turning his attention to his right, he looked up at the Cafe sign that boasted the best coffee in the world.
With a wary glance around, he ducked inside the warm shop, already silently cursing Sonya for getting him hooked onto the hot drink while he found a booth near the back beside a window to sit and relax in. Really, before everything that happened, the woman had gotten on his nerves repeatedly, but still... She had been a constant in his life up until she changed again. It was nearly comfortable to argue with her about the TARDIS, and now that she was gone again... He didn't know what to do with himself. Not to mention Robin being gone as well, no one was around to travel with, the lonely life of a Time Lord was a long one, he knew that all too well.

| Candalynne's TARDIS materialized into an alleyway and she stepped out of it slowly. She looked around and sighed, she knew it was London but the year was oblivious to her, but then again, she didn't mind where her TARDIS dropped her. Candalynne stepped out of the alleyway her TARDIS had landed in and she smiled slightly. She noticed a small amount of people wandering the streets. And she became one of those people as she also wandered the streets too.
Candalynne saw a cafe and she smiled happily, she loved cafes and their wonderful drinks called tea. She went up and ordered her tea and she smiled happily. She got her tea and she walked over to a booth behind a man in a leather jacket, her back was facing his back and she smiled gently. And as usual she would drink her tea before beginning to sing Gallifreyan lullabies quietly, she didn't want too much attention on her.

| While he sat there sipping his coffee, the Doctor's ears perked at the soft sounds of an old lullaby he heard as a child and twisted his head to the side to listen closer before realizing what one it was. "And the winds of change will sweep the silver trees, bringing shining light down onto the red grasses of Tarim." He murmured along with the tune the woman behind him hummed, his thoughts drifting off to old memories he rarely visited in this form. Usually driving towards the future, never looking back, he found himself picturing the very valley he just spoke of in the song, running side by side with an old friend across the red grass towards a distant stand of silver trees.
"That's an old song. You'd have to be... Nearly eight hundred to know it." The Doctor finally commented, turning fully to his side so he could study the woman behind him, the soft tickle at the back of his mind alerting him of the slight telepathic connection from their proximity to each other. Usually only present when he was around Sonya, making his eyebrow raise up in sudden, pleasent surprise at what it indicated. "Time Lady, I haven't seen one like you since Sonya."

| Candalynne heard the man's comment and she slowly turned her head so she went eye level with him and she narrowed her eyes before she felt the slight telepathic connection in her mind and she blinked before stuttering out in surprise: "D-d-doctor? Is that you?" She smiled happily at him. "Oh, old friend! It has been so long!" She said with a grin before hugging him gently. "I haven't seen you since we graduated the academy together." Candalynne said before sipping the last bit of her tea and setting the teacup back down on the table she sat at. She turned her attention back to her old friend. "Wow, it has been a long time." She said happily before curiously tilting her head, "Who is this Sonya...? I have heard of that name before but the memory is blurry in my mind." She murmured as she rubbed her temples slightly and furrowed her brow as she tried to remember but shook her head in defeat. She looked back to The Doctor and smiled, "I like this regeneration." She said as she looked him up and down. | |

| "An old friend of mine. A Time Lady like you, she's... She's having her own problems right now. Tends to go off her rocker now and again when she regenerates." The Doctor said idly, his wide grin flashing across his face as he spoke. His eyebrow rose slightly in a cocky manner at her comment of his form before glancing down at himself as well. "I get that a lot actually. Wouldn't have guessed it with these ears. She used to call them Satellites, Sonya did. Constantly poking at them until I finally told her to quit or I'd have the TARDIS change her room into a swamp." Reaching up, he flicked at one of his ears idly when he mentioned them, another faint memory resurfacing as he spoke of it.
"Ah, right. I'm the Doctor, you know this, but not too sure who you are." He finally announced, lifting the steaming cup to his lips while he spoke, his nose twitching slightly at the bitter scent when it rose up in his face. "Lots of faces and names in my life, hard to keep track of every one of them, especially one from the past like you."

| Candalynne smiled at The Doctor, "This Sonya lady sounds... nice." She looked at his ears, "Your ears are fine. I have seen a lot worse in my travels. Aliens are interesting. But then again, I am technically an alien, just like you." She giggled slightly with a smirk before seeing him flick his ear, and she couldn't help but flick his ear as gently as she could. "See, they are fine." She smiled at The Doctor. She was glad to see an old friend but she sighed sadly when he couldn't remember her. "I am surprised you can't remember me... I would always sit next to you in the classes we had at the academy and I would get told off for humming the Gallifreyan song I was singing just now." She giggled. "It has always been my favourite." She murmured with a grin and she looked back to The Doctor. "So, do you want anymore hints or is your brain done processing me yet?" | |

| "Ariella! Of course, I should have known from the song." The Doctor proclaimed happily, finally satisfied he remembered the woman's name. "I remember the day you asked me to be your friend. Fell flat on your face right in front of me in your rush to come over and talk." He chuckled in amusement, leaning back against the window behind him as he stretched his legs out on the seat so he could relax while still seeing her, his grin growing again as he continued speaking. "You ended up breaking your nose if I remember right."
"How are you even here?" He suddenly asked, his smile melting away as he looked back at the woman beside him, sudden curiosity taking it's place as he studied her closer than he had earlier. If anything, she seemed real, less than a manifestation of his mind and more of a hologram. But she touched him, so she couldn't be a hologram either. "You should be locked away on Gallifrey with the rest of them..."

| Candalynne smiled happily at The Doctor as soon as he remembered her last name at least. She suddenly felt embarrassment take over when he reminded her of that day and she blushed. "Heh, yeah I ended up breaking my nose, but it was worth it." She giggled a little in amusement, "I ended up being your friend, so it was totally worth it." She smiled at him happily.
Then he asked her how she was here and she sighed. "Some weird creature thing in a woman's body sent me away with my TARDIS and I ended up on Earth and began travelling about once more... I thought you, Koschei and the others were dead!" She looked to him sadly, "I didn't know much about the Time Lock until a year ago..." She murmured under her breath with a small, sad sigh. Candalynne looked back up to The Doctor and smiled at him gently. "It is nice to see my best friend after so many centuries apart." She grinned at him and happily hugged him tightly.

| "I survived, the Master did too in some form. I haven't seen him for a while though. Not even Sonya, and she's his sister." The Doctor muttered, sudden bitterness appearing on his face as he spoke of what happened. Not really caring to tell the innocent woman sitting across from him what exactly happened that day. Her sudden hug jolted him from the darker thoughts that surfaced in his mind and caused another grin to appear on his face. "Ah! Hugs!" He crowed, wrapping his arms around her in response. "Haven't had a good, proper hug in a while, always good, a hug."
Pulling back from her, the Doctor took in her features before teasingly tweaking her nose. "Right then, both Time Lords wandering around Earth, end up in the same cafe and meet after a long time. What could happen? Oh... Blimey, saying things like that always end up going bad." He trailed off, thinking to himself before another wide grin split his face once more. "Good times then, what were you planning on doing when you arrived, anyhow?"

| Candalynne smiled at The Doctor. "I am glad you and Koschei are fine." She said happily before looking at The Doctor, "Koschei had a sister? Wow. I didn't even know that." Candalynne chuckled a little before smiling as she hugged him and she giggled as he returned the hug. "Hugs are wonderful things. We would hug everyday at the academy." Candalynne grinned at him before he tweaked her nose and she wiggled her nose cutely and blushed slightly. "Er, yeah I guess a lot of things could happen. They always do! I come and visit Earth and it's beauty and I get attacked by some sort of shadow and some dark figures that represent worst nightmares of a certain person." Candalynne explained before looking to him, "I just came to visit. I could ask you the same question, though." She looked to him with a smile. | |

| Me? I just wander, go wherever the TARDIS takes me now. No one to show anything to, so I just show up wherever and go around until I find trouble, or it finds me. Usually the latter anyway." The Doctor said with a bright grin and shrug, completely passing over her comment over the Master having a sister. He didn't care to tell the story after hearing about it from Sonya herself, not a happy one to bring up in any occasion. "Shadow? I know a few species like that, some well known, others... Not so much." He said curiously, a hand reaching up to tug on his ear thoughtfully, his eyes already shifting to look in the distance as he pondered over what it might be.
"Ah, no worries. Your here now, so things turned out fine." He said suddenly, popping back to the present and casting another grin at Ariella when he shook off his sudden distant expression. "I've had a few run-ins myself with others. Cybermen, Angels, Vashta Nerada, Daleks, you name it." With a sudden laugh, he folded his arms over his chest and looked up at the ceiling at a sudden amusing thought as it passed through his head. "At one point, I ended up running into an acquaintance of an acquaintance and been tossed into a cell for being 'rude'. My companion at the time, Mal, she nearly ended up being married off to some man. We escaped, not without a few emotional and mental scars though. Poor girl, drugged with Delirium. Not a pretty sight."

| "I just let the TARDIS take me wherever now, it is boring otherwise..." Candalynne smiled at The Doctor. "I haven't seen Cybermen in a while... I heard they looked a little different now, like some old guy tried to recreate them and it didn't go so well... or something like that." Candalynne sighed and looked to him, "Drugged with Delirium?! Wow. That wouldn't have been a pretty sight at all..." Candalynne looked down slightly. "So, Doctor... how have you been for the past nine hundred or so years? You must have had some interesting things happen to you." She asked him curiously, she always liked to catch up on things. Candalynne ordered another tea and when she got her tea she sipped at it slowly. "Earth tea is very nice." Candalynne commented with a happy grin as she sipped away and looked to The Doctor. "I am so glad to see you again." She said to him again, with a grin. | |
