The Doctor
Species: Time Lord
Age: 900. Ish. Thereabouts. Stopped counting.
Gender: Male
Occupation: The Doctor.
Status: The Doctor.
::Appearance::
Hair: The Doctor's keeps his hair in a geometrically perfect, dusty blonde, curly mass. Mostly. Usually.
Eyes: Green.
Height: 6'0"
Figure: Tall, broad chested, and fit as a fiddle, this particular regeneration lacks some of the stoutness of his former and future forms, but he makes up for it in other ways.
Other: Well, he's got two hearts.
Clothing: Hahah. Hahahah...
Ok, seriously. The Doctor wears a white button up shirt, marked on the ends of the collars with red question marks. Around his collar he wears one of several various colored, polka dotted ties. Overtop of that, he wears one of a variety of somewhat patchwork vests. He usually sports a pair of bright yellow pants and bright red shoes, and to finish his ensemble he dons a patched together, colorful coat that, despite his companions' objections, is certainly the height of current fashion. And considering he's a time traveler, that means that it's ALWAYS the height of fashion, thank you very much.
::Info::
Family: The Doctor has a family from Gallifrey, one so large that to list everyone here would be lunacy. Not to mention the complications involved in separating exactly who still exists in any given timeline. However, he does have a granddaughter named Susan, and possible a wife or 2. And considering his future incarnations, possibly 8 or 10. Also, apparently one of his future selves managed to get himself cloned. Twice. And another one got himself copied. But trying to figure out how he's related to them isn't really something he cares to think about.
Personality: In a word: Bombastic. Because of a slightly malformed regeneration, The Doctor's 6th form took a very stark turn into what some might call instability. While still holding a great compassion down within himself, he masks it behind a thick layer of cynicism and disdain for anyone aside from himself. The Doctor is impatient and, really, rude when it comes right down to it.On the other hand, he is not one to put other people into danger unnecessarily. When the going gets tough, he always positions himself at the forefront of the danger, insisting that his companions get themselves to safety.
Strengths: Impeccable intelligence and an unreasonable store of knowledge. The Doctor is skilled in more languages than most even know the existance of, and he has enough information packed in his Time Lordy head to fill at least 12 libraries, if he bothered to sit down long enough to write it all.
Weakness: The Sixth is unbalanced and frequently finds himself with a short temper. He also has a penchant for wandering directly into danger. Further, he has a knack for making enemies.
Likes: The Doctor likes wearing "loud" clothing, and he loves making sure that everyone around him knows that he's got the biggest brain in the room.
Dislikes: Anyone who thinks they're smarter, better, or in any way more suited to any task that requires any sort of mental exercise than he is. In other words, he hates people who are wrong. He also dislikes anyone who uses others for their own goals. Oh, and grammar. He HAAAAATES bad grammar, and yes, American English is bad grammar.
Dream: Dream? What dream? Really, The Doctor just wants to keep travelling.
History: The Doctor woke into a period of extremely volatile instability. His brain had been addled by a disease-triggered regeneration, and he found himself, when he regained his composure, nearly throttling his companion Peri. Horrified and devastated, he decided to isolate himself on Titan-3. However, being the Doctor, he simply wandered directly into another misadventure and resigning to continuing his travels.
His further adventures with Peri took him straight into facing the Master, the Daleks, the Cybermen, the Rani, the Sontarans, and countless other foes that had a habit of threatening total universal domination. However, his greatest enemy came about in the middle of a struggle on a certain planet called "Ravalox." Ravalox, as it turned out, was actually the Planet Earth, though it was several lightyears away from where it was supposed to be, and the surface had been ravaged by a solar fireball some half a millenium earlier.
On his way to stop an experiment on Peri, the Time Lords pulled him out of time to put him on trial. The prosecutor, the Valeyard, was attempting to frame the Doctor for various crimes with a dual purpose: First to steal his remaining lives, and secondly to cover up a conspiracy by the Gallifrey High Council, as they were the ones who moved the Earth, which caused the fireball that destroyed nearly the entire population of the planet. Before the Doctor's sentence
was passed, The Master invaded the trial, simultaneously proving that the Matrix was able to be altered and revealing the Valeyard to be a possible future evil incarnation of the Doctor.
After the trial, defeating the Valeyard, and finding that Peri was safe and alive, The Doctor attempted once again to self-impose an exile, but this time to stop himself from meeting Mel (who he knew from some Matrix footage from his future), and therefore changing his future and preventing himself from becoming the Valeyard. Despite his best efforts Mel managed to find her way onto the TARDIS by sheer accident, and after finding her stowed away he decided to accept meeting her, and decided to continue his adventures and find another way to stop the Valeyard from coming about.
The Doctor's regeneration is actually somewhat of a mystery, even to himself. He was travelling, probably having just gotten attacked by something or other, when he was caught and forced to land by a trap laid by The Rani. When she and her men entered the TARDIS and turned him over, the Doctor was already mid-regeneration.
