Once a Upon a Doctor...(Open)

"Ah, the Library. Nothing quite beats the knowledge of thousands of years collected in bindings and words!" The Doctor took another deep breath, breathing in the age and must of millions of novels and tomes collected together in a singular place.

It had been ages since he'd last visited the Library planet Biblioterra. The planet was a joint idea from Merriam-Webster and Oxford in an attempt to collect the mass knowledge of the universe in a singular place.

The entire planet, which was of relative Earth size, was covered with skyscrapers and buildings, elevators and hoverpads. The only knowledge that didn't exist here was Timelord knowledge, but that's why the Doctor was there. He was visiting the planet in an attempt to scour the tomes for any hint of Timelord technology, and remove any sorts of hints that could lead to time travel or TARDIS manipulation. The Doctor had had enough of that...

He was leaning against the door of his TARDIS, absorbing the sights, smells, and sounds a planet of this kind could create. And surprisingly enough, it created such little sound, that he barely heard the Head Librarian sneak up behind him. "Doctor?"

He snapped around. "Ah! Madame Librarian, such an honor to be here once more." He shook her hand. She smiled, exchanged formalities with each other, and escorted the Doctor into the staff entrance.

The Doctor and the Librarian walked though small but cozy corridors. His scarf fluttered in the wind as he passed by several rooms and lounges, all for employee benefit and leading this way and that. The ended their journey at an elevator. The doors opened, and the pair entered the lift.

The Doctor hated elevators, which was ironic since the craft that he traveled in resembled a Wonkavator. The Librarian, noticing the Doctor's discomfort, smiled and gave him a small nudge with her elbow. He looked down, smiled nervously, and continued his austere stare into the spacial pattern in the elevator walls.

Without warning, the elevator went completely dark. The Doctor looked around, and clung to the walls. He felt the elevator stop completely, and his eyes clenched shut. The elevator rumbled a bit, then opened up to reveal the main library floor. The Doctor sighed a breath of relief. He was out. He looked over to the Librarian, but was greeted with a horrible sight:

THe Librarian was now a puddle on the floor. Her official clothing was stained with the moisture collecting there, but there was no doubt she was nothing but a puddle of liquid anymore. When greeted with this, the Doctor did the only thing he could think of: run.

While being glad to be somewhere other than Earth, Treela was less enthusiastic of the fact it was a library they'd come to. The zygon girl had been to enough libraries in her time before the invention of the internet, with all the information it held, so she eventually found libraries to be just a collection of unneeded pieces of paper. Even if it was an gigantic city-like one Treela still found it a bit of a bore.

When the Doctor had commented about the knowledge contained in the books could not be beat she rolled her eyes and whispered "I could think of a few things." to herself.

When the librarian arrived Treela introduced herself before the Doctor could, looking curiously to him when he mentioned being here before. She shrugged, thinking it was another case he'd work on with some former companion or whatever the reason was. After that she followed with the Doctor into the elevator.

As the rode ad the lights went out she went still while saying "Sheesh. Even in the future this stuff happens." When the lights came back, however, and she could see the puddle remains of the librarian, Treela's eyes went wide as she began to say "Oh sh..." before seeing the Doctor run.

When the Doctor suddenly ran Treela, obviously, chased after him to see what he was running for. She called for him to stop while trying to keep up.

The Doctor paused for a moment and looked back at Treela. It had been nearly three days since he had acknowledged her existence, mostly from the incident in Egypt. She had rammed the two alien ambassadors, and nearly toppled the massive temple, but caused the Rani to run off into the night and disappear from sight. He looked at her with a furrowed brow.

"Treela, did you see anything back there?" The Doctor's breath never increased from the run, thanks to his bi-cardo-bypass system. In the light of the moment, the Doctor never took any mention as to where the pair were in location to where they started, and in the heat of the run, he never took any care to notice that there might not be any chase left...

"Shhh!" He immediately put his finger up to her face, shushing her. "Do you hear that?"

The Library echoed with the Doctor's demand of silence...and that was the only thing that made a sound.

When the Doctor stopped so did she, only to look confused by his question. She even had to glance back towards the elevator herself just to confirm what had happened to the librarian.

Now looking back to him she answered "I saw that a woman just turned into a puddle, if that's what..."

She was stopped when he shushed her and tried to listen she didn't hear a thing, even looking around, while trying to speak with his finger over her mouth still. She tried telling him that she didn't hear a thing, even as muffled as it was.

The Doctor (alt 9) was sitting in the TARDIS looking in his note book where he jots down important events. As he was skimming he noticed a very peculiar note.

"Visit Biblioterra? Why would I visit a planet of books?"

Even as perplexed as he was he started to dematerialization circuit and took off to the planet. He walks in and sees puddles of water on the floor.

"Hmm... they may need a new janitor."

He stops dead in his tracks as he sees a face he hasn't seen in a long time, or at least in a mirror.
