Welcome (back) to the Universe?

Many say the Earth looks like a gigantic blue marble from space. A small planet in a gigantic universe. Beautiful, its surface painted with white, green, and blue. To many, home.

To Theta, it was where he was about to crash.

The rectangular black box with glowing green doors, looking more like a magic metal dresser than a spaceship, spiraled out of control. It span and turned and slowly lit up with fire as it entered Earth’s atmosphere.

This scene sound familiar to you? Well you're not the only one.

"Lady, turn on the gravitational feedback loops!" Barked a bowtie-clad youth as his fingers dashed across flashing hologram controls. The inside of the TARDIS was much more hectic than the outside, with everything that could go wrong going wrong. The normally impenetrable glass walls were leaking through giant cracks that split across the walls' surfaces, and the conductor water that ran through the main control panel had overheated, causing steam to fill the control room like a thick blanket of fog. To top it all off, Theta had the worst case of de ja vu he'd ever experienced in his life.

"What so you mean that the gravitational feedback loops aren't working?!?" the Timelord replied in response to the machine's nagative sounding hum. It responded back in the same language it had used before, composed of hums and groans and high-pitched screeches. To any normal human, it would have sounded like a malfunctioning car that was in desperate need of repair. But Theta Sigma was no human.

"Damaged in a what?!? What black hole?" Theta sighed tiredly and continued trying to bring up the emergency crash-landing systems. The last time they had gone through a black hole, it had almost snapped shut on them "Not again..."

Above London, an object hurtled through the sky, aimed towards the surface of the Earth. Many looked up, some pointing curiously and muttering to their partners, some running away in fear, and some even trying to take pictures of the object. Not a second later, the object touched down, right into the waters near the London Eye. A torrent of water was disrupted from the crash landing, and like a mini-tsunami it came, drenching everything and everyone that was close, and even not so close, to the water. An eerie silence came over the crowd, and as one they looked towards the water, all having one thought on their mind. 'What the hell was that?'

She walked down the road,as she wore her black corset dress with combat boots. She had decided to do a little sightseeing today,and learn about some of the newer things. She had just woke up from her 'nap',but she had to let her other self in control so she could gain her strength. She hoped to one day be integrated,and not have the chance of her dark persona coming out and going on a murder spree. She had just finished a lunch,and had wanted to see the waterfront it always used to calm her.
She heard exclaims all around her,and looked up into the sky.

"Great another alien." she muttered out loud.

She started noticing the shape,and it resembled The Doctor's ship,but it was some much different in colors. Plus the whole police box look was missing,and she was puzzled. She should have paid more attention,as she not was drenched,her long black hair plastered to her face. She heard guys giving her cats calls,as her outfit was showing all the curves she had. She glared at the perverts as she turned around and decided to she if she could see anything of what had landed in the water.

Robin sighed, staring out the window of the fish and chips place she dined in. It had been quite a while since she had gotten to eat some this good. Something to note later, she guessed. A few moments later, the volume of the random chatter had certainly increased, earning a stare or two from the girl. What was going on? Oh god, she didn't just get herself into another alien encounter, did she? Sure, aliens were great, but not when the entire globe is trying to experiment on them. She found it particularly amusing when they claimed peace. Heh, yeah right. This whole society was built for war. At this point, they don't know how to make peace. Trying to ignore the conversations as they continued to escalate, she took a bite of another chip. 

And there it was, in the distance - a rather loud splash. Robin rushed to her feet, not bothering to pay for the chips as she ran out the door. The commotion on its own would be enough of a distraction from her lack of payment. More than anything, though, she needed to get close to the crash landing - at least she hoped it was a crash. If that was supposed to be planned, then whatever they were dealing with obviously did not care for humans. Ignoring the shouts as the cops or whoever that was tried to keep her from the edge, she got on her knees and leaned down to look into the water. Of course, there was no way she was going to make anything out like that. Great.

"Owwww..."

Theta lay sprawled out on the floor near the control panel, head hurting like a nail had just been jammed into it. When he opened his eyes, all he could see was the white stream from the overheated conductor water, and...wait. Was that smoke?

With a yelp he bolted upright, looking towards the source of the smoke. A multitude of small fires danced across the control panel, turning the surface black and causing a few hologram panels to malfunction. A dark black smoke billowed from the spots, mixing with the steam to turn the air within the TARDIS a dark grey.

"Oh no no no, not good..."

He got to his feet and ran over to the panel, taking off his tweed coat in the process. He attempted to smother the flames with it, and it worked...partially. Whenever he'd go to put out a different patch of fire, the ones he'd previously put out would start up again. He sighed tiredly after a few minutes of trying to put out the flames, running a soot covered hand across his face, unknowingly smearing the black material all over. It was hopeless; he'd have to let the TARDIS repair herself this time.

"Lady, I'm heading out so you can repair yourself, alright?" Theta slipped his coat back on and took a small, watch-like device out of his pocket; a vortex manipulator. He began to attach it to his wrist, looking up at the ceiling worriedly as he did so "Just don't change too much while I'm gone, alright? I happen to love this theme"

Lady hummed back in a soft tone, reassuring Theta that no, she wasn't going to change the theme while he was gone. Theta smiled gratefully at this.

"Thanks girl" he took a deep breath "Well, I'm going now. A day should be long enough to repair everything...wish me luck" and with that, he pressed a button on the Vortex Manipular. There was a flash, and when it died down, the TARDIS was empty.

In an alleyway near the crash site, Theta materialised, unfortunately right in front of a hobo man. He caught his gaze, and for a few seconds, the two had a staring match.

"Ghost teen! Demon! It's the end of the world!" The hobo broke out of his initial shock and ran off, screaming about armageddon to anyone that would listen. Theta contemplated going after him, but decided against it. Nobody ever listened to hobos.

Though one thing caught his attention. The hobo had said ghost teen. Last time he'd checked, he looked about the age of a twenty-five year old human. He shrugged his shoulders and strode out of the alley, dismissing the thought. Hobos are weird.

((I hope I have this correct,in a way it is like they are meeting for the first time again,if not I will fiz it accordingly,after all Syra is over 300 years she can have days she shows her age))


The water settled into tiny waves,as it settled,and it seemed nothing was going to jump out and eat them. Syra found it odd,that another woman was looking into the water as well.She had decided she was gonna head home and get out of the wet clothes. she would be back,to investigate later,and find the woman she had seen. She shook herself off a little,as she felt a guy grab her butt. He fell to the ground,and started barking like a dog.' That will teach him' she thought to herself. She walked down the sidewalk,and fell backwards as a man ran out of an alley. She let out an agitated sigh,and looked at the man who had fell over to.

"Why are you humans so stupid,look where you are going?she said,as she took off the illusion of her wings. This caused the man to go into more of a hysteria. She decided to investigate when she saw someone walk out of the alley.

" Hey,do you know what that guy was muttering about?"she yelled towards Theta. She had recast her illusion with her telepathy after scaring the homeless man to never drink again. That was at least the thoughts screaming in his mind,after her little show.

Robin sighed, straightening back up and turning around to get out of the way before the cops came and started escorting everyone everywhere. Well for now she'd have to keep an eye out, but if nothing turned up before the Doctor came back for her, she'd just let this one go. As she made her way back onto the sidewalk and turned onto the next street, some poor delusional homeless man practically ran her over, shouting things about demons and spirits. Well that was the best lead she had right now, wasn't it? 'Oi! Mate! What's going on?' She tried shouting to him, only earning a glance and a quick reply - 'It's our children! They're coming back to haunt us!' Whatever that was supposed to mean... Shaking her head, she continued down the cement path, keeping her eyes peeled for any so-called spirits. What sort of aliens were transparent enough to make people think they were a ghost? Guess she was about to find out, then...

Theta blinked, recognising the old-fashioned clothes and dragon wings instantly. A grin lit up his face as he ran over. Oh Rassilon, he hadn't seen her in a while.

"Syra! It's nice to see you again" he laughed nervously, rubbing at the base of his neck "that guy? Yeah, oops...he might have seen me appear with the manipulator"

He held his wrist up at that, showing the leather strap that was sparking and buzzing...wait what?!? He yelped and took the device off hurriedly, throwing it on the ground near his feet before it could do any damage. It popped and sparked madly, and as he was watching, it began to smoke. He sighed.

"Last time I buy a Vortex Manipulator at a pawn shop"

She looked oddly at Theta,as the man obviously knew her,but for the life of her could not remember him. She did not want to hurt his feelings,so she did the only logical thing that came to her mind."It is nice to see you too,but I am misplacing your name."she said hoping it sounded just like she was having an off days remembering names.

She saw what ever was on his wrist start buzzing,and laughed as he threw it off his arm. She then added,"That could have happened because I am drenched,I was heading to change when the madman knocked me over,I decided to scare him further,now he will be screaming about dragon ladies as well."

This man whoever he was,must have been the one in the T.A.R.D.I.S like ship that crashed,no one acted this odd,except for The Doctor. Maybe,he was like him,and had survived,but there was a sense of deja vu happening to her.

Robin turned another corner, starting to think that guy wasn't on to anything at that this search had been a bust. Lucky for her, there were some actual people this time. One if them rather familiar actually... Who was she? Oh! 'Syra! How've you been? No, don't answer that. I mean go ahead, but... Wow I cannot just start a conversation.' She giggled, looking over to the teen behind her, the boy not looking much older than her to be honest. She wouldn't have paid much kind to it, but the sparking manipulator on the ground plus the terrible fashion sense added up to suspicion. She knew him... Didn't she? No, she hasn't net anyone that close to her age, yet he seemed... 'Excuse me, what's your name'

Theta smiled real wide, recognizing Robin immediately. It instantly vanished with her question, however, to be replaced with a look of complete confusion.

"My name? Robin, are you feeling alright?" On man how he wished he had a mirror; he must look horrible for Robin to not recognize him "I don't look that bad, do I? Wot, do I have something on my face?"

Theta ran a hand over his face experimentally, inspecting his hand afterwords. Oh well, he had black soot all over, if that counted. Though, in all honesty, it wouldn't really hinder anyone in identifying him. Maybe Robin was younger in her timeline and just hadn't met him very many times; yes, that had to be it. What else could it be? Deciding to help the forgetting girl, he lent her his name.

"Theta Sigma" he watched her eyes for any sign of recognition "We met on that one forest planet...?"

She looked at the woman oddly,either she was having an off day,or time decided to mess with her today. She decided to acknowledge the girl,and answered, "Fine,I guess,just seem to be out of it today. The river decided I needed a bath,so I am wet also."

Syra felt better since Theta,had said his name trying to spark a memory with Robin. She then began thinking of the doctor,and then said out loud." We met,but in a way we haven't met. of course,i only have a small conversation I had with the Doctor over 300 years ago. You do not like pinning vegetables to your clothes do you."

She then ran a hand through her hair,and then thought about it. Syra then said,excited," of course,i could be having a senior moment,i am over 300 years old,but know we know each other again. Theta is the gallifreyain in the equation,so maybe he knows exactly what happened here. To be totally honest,I do not remember either one of you."

Robin raised an eyebrow at the Time Lord, wondering why on Earth she would know this kid. They'd never met before, had they? Her eyebrows arched as he revealed his name. "Theta? Did you regenerate or something? What happened?' Instead, her attention was directed at the dragon woman, as it was her turn to be unknown.  Then again, they had only met once, so she didn't really blame her. 'Robin, from the teleporter photo booth thing? Those aliens that... um...' She cast a glance over at Theta, not wanting to worry him. It did happen a rather long time ago, so there wasn't a point to do that, right? She traced her finger down her torso to represent the dissection, hoping she wouldn't have to say it out loud and startle the Time Lord. 'Fair enough, though, I don't want to remember that day either. Nice to meet you again, then.' She giggled, turning to Theta to deal with the current problem. 'So, why are you all like... that.'

Theta frowned; what was she talking about? He felt fine, no signs of that general queasiness that came with post-regeneration. But with the way she was looking at him, he felt the need to look in a mirror somewhere. Something, he didn't know what, was wrong.

"I'm not sure I know what you're talking about; one of you girls wouldn't happen to have a mirror with, would you?"

This was a weird and new experience,she had never had people that knew her but she did not know them. As she looked at Robin,she said," likewise,it is nice to meet you again.I am sure once we get everything figured out everything will start to make sense."

She turned her attention to Theta,as she took in his teenage looks,and she asked him," how old are you supposed to look,because right now you look like a teenager.I do not carry a mirror,ever since a run in with angels in the 1800's. That uis also why I smashed all the statues in my castle."

'Oh yeah, that's right, how old are you now?' Robin questioned, pointing a finger at the Time Lord for a moment before shaking her head. 'Right, not the issue right now. No mirrors on me, so...' She spun around, taking a few steps one way, then coming back and going the other. Her eyes searched for a shop window, any shop would do, just one where they could see their reflections in the glass. Was that too much to ask? Sighing, she glanced back at the other two, 'Come on, I don't see anything around here,' before turning around and heading to the right, eyes peeled for any shop windows that fit the description.

Once she, and hopefully the others, had reached the street corner, Robin was about to just give up on this. It wasn't that important anyway, was it? Just as she was about to lean against the wall of a bakery and call it quits, she spotted one. A window across the street that a few young boys were making funny faces into. She smirked at this discovery, pushing herself off the wall and dashing across the rather empty street. Her own reflection in the glass proved her assumption right, so she turned around and beckoned to the others. Glancing back at the makeshift mirror, she frowned slightly, tugging at a piece of her hair. 'Time for a haircut, then...'

Theta frowned worriedly, following after Robin at a brisk trot. Either he had regenerated without knowing, or something really weird was going on.

"I'm 80; wh-" his words were stolen from him when he saw his reflection, and it was all he could do to emit a surprised squeaking sound. Theta was certain that he hadn't looked this young in, eh... forty years?

Yep, defiantly the latter.

The small group headed from the alley they had been in. They followed Robin,because Theta wanted to see himself. She was still wet and drying very slowly,and that gave her clothes the chance to be a reverse see thru in a way. As they found the store,and everyone looked at there reflection,she then said," you look good for eighty then,could it be possible you crossed your own time stream,or is that even possible."

She looked at Robin,and then added," my brother thinks the only respectable length for his hair is past his butt,so i am not a judge on haircuts,my own almost touches the ground."

Robin choked back a giggle at the Time Lord's reaction, finding it not only funny, but adorable now that he looked... well... her age. Is that what people thought of teenagers? That they're adorable? No, obviously not - all people ever do about them is complain. Shaking her head, she reached over and pulled Theta away from his reflection, getting him to look her in the eyes. Ugh, he was still taller. Whatever. 'Thet, do you know when this happened? You sure you didn't regenerate? Maybe you've been here before or something, dunno, heard about timelines screwing up when that happens, but then again... I did only hear it...' Letting go, she took a couple steps back towards where they were before rolling her eyes, turning around. 'Where's your TARDIS? She could help, where'd you park her?' Every time she looked at the poor Time Lord, she couldn't help but smirk. He definitely needed a shower or something.

Theta rolled his eyes sarcastically, his tone matching his demeanor.

"No Robin, I've never been here before. I've never been to bloody London before; of course I've been here!" he paced back and forth, running a hand through his hair agitatedly "I don't believe I've regenerated, though, so it can only be crossing timelines. But that would take a lot of power to fuse memories and body together; and the fact that you're still here, recognizing me, means that either I meet you a second time, in my perspective of course, or there is a really huge paradox being sustained here"

Theta paced for a while longer, thinking of possibilities. He paused and winced at the girl's next words

"We might have crash landed..."

Syra was looking more and more confused,and she was trying to keep up. She could tell they did know her by how they acted around her. She listened to both of them,and then asked Theta," How did you first meet me,because if it was crashing into the river,that is how I got soaked."

She then turned to Robin,and added," If the initial way i met him just now happened the event in which we met has not happened yet. Judging from your reaction it was not so good. That would explain the whole me not knowing either of you.

Syra was not a cheerful person,and every answer she gave was giving off that vibe. She would try and add her own tidbit and some cheerful banter came out instead. There was something happening and she was scared,because she could not voice anything negative.

Robin rolled her eyes at the Time Lord, ignoring his sarcasm since she knew he must have known what she meant by 'here'. Then again, it was Theta... No, he still wasn't stupid. Her eyes shot wide open as he mentioned his crash. 'You did WHAT? Theta! How could you even-' She was cut off by Syra, her eyes only getting wider. 'In the river. You crashed your TARDIS. IN THE BLOODY RIVER!' Taking a deep breath, she tried to calm herself down. Only now the only plan she had - which was half of a plan anyway - couldn't work. Well... It could. But that was very highly unlikely someone else would randomly show up with a TARDIS. Or a vortex manipulator, which might have been helpful at this point.

Facing Theta once more, Robin sighed, crossing her arms and thinking for a moment. Nope. Nothing. 'Alright, well there goes my idea, you got anything rattling around up there?'

Theta winced at Robin's raised voice, knowing that an angry Robin was not a good thing. Heck, any angry female was a dangerous situation. Even with the danger signs flashing a bright neon colour in his mind, he felt the need to defend himself.

"It wasn't my fault! I don't even know why we crashed; and don't you say it's because of my rubbish driving skills, cause it's not! The TARDIS mentioned something about a black hole..." He paused, eyes widening "Black hole. Black hole. Of course!" He whipped around to stare in the direction of the river, where the TARDIS was currently resting "But then where was Sonya? She should have appeared like last time! Unless I left too early? C'mon Robin, Syra, follow!"

With a small follow me gesture, Theta began sprinting down the street towards the river, hoping to catch a glimpse of anyone he'd met during the first run of this situation. Maybe Sonya, or Mal. A non-psycho Mal, that is. He shuddered at remembering what had become of his old friend.

Syra stared at the two,as Robin blew up at Theta. She touched a hand to her face,as she wondered,how everything kept coming out cheerful. She then asked,since it had been on her mind,and as before the voice was full of cheer," Could the accidental crossing or paradox affect a person,I mean like attitude wise."

If it was not something to do with Theta,something changed earlier in her timeline. She tried to pull up her most painful memory,and it was not working. Maybe this had to do with the disappearance of teenagers,because she did die when she was 16 the first time." how old were they,because teenagers and young adults have been mysteriously disappearing,or was it just teenagers,I tend to just hang out in my castle and make people think it is haunted."

Theta slowed to a steady trot, glancing back at Syra with a what the hellexpression.

"...you have a castle?" He blinked and shook his head, trying to ignore that odd and random fact so that he could just focus and figure what exactly was going on here. He thought out loud "If I'm not mistaken, it was both teens and young adults that were being taken. It turns out a madman had been hiding below London, using human body parts to repair his crashed ship. And if this was like last time, he should still be here" he looked down at the ground, confusion making his eyebrows furrow "Strange thing, though, can't remember how we got down there in the first place..."
