I'm new to this in several ways. One- I've never role played in a Cannonical environment that wasn't my own. Two- I have not role played on forums regularly ever. and Three I've never role played Doctor who! so I'd really really like in this for someone to show me the ropes, so my leading post isn't going to be taking the lead at all XD I'm not comfortable enough in this yet to go in with my plot guns blazing. Thank you! Also I can't figure out how to indent.

Pav's mind floated far away from where he was laying. It lingered on long past conversations and people whose faces he barely remembers. e remembers asking many people when he first realized, if he was weird, or wrong for liking other boys. Funny how scared he was of that notion when he was young, something he was so proud in now.

Pav recalled the first person who had ever told him it was okay to be himself. Of course t had been spurred by his own question of his sexuality, but the words had followed him into far more than that in life. He was so young when he realized he wasn't like what people expected him to be like, how he was different than this mold that had been constructed for little boys everywhere.

He laid on his small bed, blankets a tangled mess at his feet. He wasn't sleeping so he didn't care. He just laid there, fully clothed, shoes on the sheets staring at the Galaxy-scape he'd painted on the ceiling(without permission but the landlord had liked it so he didn't get in trouble) He watched those static painted stars and deliberate patters of color and he felt it.

There was an indescribable still in the air. the Calm before the storm. Things were going to change. He wasn't sure why or how he could think that but he did. But in the meantime, nothing to do and everything to think about, he laid on his bed. drifting in limbo, in the space painted with short strokes of color on the ceiling in his studio in Dundee.

Suddenly, like someone shaking themselves out of a daze, he rolled off the bed and onto his feet sharply. Up, bright eyed and bushy tailed as if he hadn't just laid on his bed for an eternity that lasted a number of seconds and had an existential crisis that he compared in his mind to storms. He crossed the small home in a minimal number of steps and pushed himself onto his tiptoes to peer out the window and watch the unchanged streets outside the apartment complex he lived in. He could feel the cold despite his heater, sputtering and rattling wildly in an attempt to keep up with the biting cold air outside his barely insulated walls. He took a look at the dark foggy night, and then bent down to look at the dark partly cloudy sky and decided it seemed clear enough that he wasn't fearing rain.

He moved like a whirlwind trough the haphazard space, picking up keys(check), wallet(check), phone(check), the scattered thoughts he left in every corner of the room(not check) He spun his coat off the rack and slipped his arms into the flatteringly cut device of cold and fashion, throwing the scarf over his shoulders and bouncing out the door, willed by the frost that nipped at his face to move hurriedly if this night was going to be spent outside the small walls he called home. He gilded down the stairs, gravity doing most of the work as his mind worked on putting the scarf on properly this time and tucking it into his pea-coat. He stumbled out into the street, as graceful as a klutz can be, and watched the city with bright eyes, pointing his wandering feet in the direction of the nearby pub with his hands deep in his soft fleece lined pockets.

"Alright, so I land in the middle of a cold, misty London night. Great." Sonya grumbled to herself, arms wrapped around her shoulders as she made her way along the sidewalk, searching for a late café to duck into and warm up with some coffee before waltzing off to search for something to do. Honestly, it was just her luck to show up on a night like this in no coat, or long sleeves for that matter, a tank top and pants. Not warm enough for London tonight in her opinion. Rolling her eyes skyward, she frowned at the clouds drifting by overhead and mentally threatened them nonexhistence if they so much as thought about dropping rain on her right now.

Before long, she managed to find her way out of the residential neighborhoods and into the main part of the city, the lights from various stores brightening up the street and cutting through the mist to make it seem warmer than it really was at the moment. "Café, Café, Café... I need coffee, where the hell are you right now?"

(OOC: Here we go agaaaaaain. Being cheeky.)

"Did someone say cáfe?" The Metacrisis Doctor's voice cut through the dark, chilly, foggy night. His voice spoke of a slight mischief and absolute confidence within himself, as the man himself pointed his small sonic screwdriver up at a sign he stood under. A moment later, the neon lights on the sign turned on, clearly displaying a small Cafeteria, offering varieties of tea and coffee. One could've seen that if they looked through the window, but the mist of about more than ten feet might obscure sight a bit. Thank goodness for small wonders then, such as a sonic screwdriver.

His own form was lit up slightly by the sign, and he flipped the screwdriver over in his hand. "There, cáfe! Ooh, I've never seen this one before," he commented, actually seeing the words on the sign. One cáfe looked similar to one another, on the outside, so long as no one peered in TOO closely or looked up at the sign. And evidently, he hadn't yet. He waggled his eyebrows slightly at Sonya as he leaned against the window glass, his hand sliding into his pocket and the hand holding his sonic falling short.

For that matter, he didn't seem at all surprised to see Sonya...but then he'd had time to prepare himself for her sudden arrival, time lady as she was. Evidentally, Sonya hadn't had time to prepare, and he held back any form of laughter at her casual summer dress. Just a nice casual cheeky smirk, and a comment. "I can see why you need one. Well then!" He tossed his sonic up in the air and caught it. "Care to have a coffee with me? Only I won't have the coffee, just tea."

Pav trotted down the street, blissfully unaware of the people not native to this town(city? he was used to bigger) He was about to run into. The particular street he was wandering down was empty aside from him, or at least it seemed to be as far as he could see in the thick fog. It hadn't looked that bad when he left the apartment, only a thin mist, but now that he was out and about, it was getting thicker. He was glad he wasn't driving. The dull yellow streetlamps fought to be seen through the fog but overall it was dark despite their glow. He looked up, unable to see the stars and feeling a bit emptier for it, and as he did, lost in thought and off in his own clear star filled night he crashed right into someone. Full body collision.

Having not been paying attention to his balance, Pav found himself rather quickly more from the shock than the collision itself, landed on his backside on the pavement. He blinked his wide blue eyes silently for a brief moment before he leaped up onto his feet and spewed apologies hurriedly.

"oh my goodness! I'm so so sorry, I didn't mean to- I wasn't looking where I was going, god I'm such a klutz, really my fault, so sorry I-" he paused his nervous and speedy half sentences when he looked at who he had run into. his eyebrows furrowed and one quirked up in confusion "isn't it a bit cold out for just a summer dress? I mean it's Scotland in the fall and it's particularly chilly tonight." Despite now giving away that they were, in fact, not in London to the stranger, he had a mostly American accent with the slightest, vaguely  British lilt from not living in The States for quite a number of years now.

"Oh great, not only am I in the wrong town, I'm in the wrong country altogether." Sonya griped under her breath, her arms folding themselves over her chest as she rubbed her arms in an attempt to stave off the goosebumps that had been plaguing her for the past few minutes. Once the man had ran into her, she stumbled back into Meta, but had straightened up right away in order to see who it was that decided it would be fun to play 'bumper people' with her in this kind of weather.

"So, Scotland. Wonderful, haven't been here in a while. Any idea what might be interesting around here to do? I'm not one to just sit around either, so while your thinking about that, I'm gonna run inside this café here and get myself a nice, tall, hot latte." With a wide grin flashed at the two men there, Sonya turned quickly and reached for the door there, a soft sigh of appreciation slipping from her lips once it opened and bathed her in a wash of warm air spiced with the scents of different drinks and treats the place sold with abandon. "Oh yes, A few cookies, a nice latte... A lovely seat by a window so I can laugh at the cold people outside. I'll be good."

If it hadn't been for the sudden appearance of a stranger crashing into Sonya, his saving of the day would have been noticed with alot more appreciation. Not to mention he'd been both rammed slightly, making a slight grunt come out as he was unprepared. He pursed his lips and eyebrows in an almost frown as he looked at Sonya, looked up at the blinking neon lights on the sign, then looked down again as Sonya moved into the cafeteria. Anything to do in Scotland? Well for him, probably take a bus up to London, but he agreed, that didn't seem as much fun. Neither did getting a cup of coffee, but then a cup of something hot DID seem like a nice idea, now that he had given himself a chance to be slightly chilled by the foggy air. Humans and their low tolerance for radical temperature changes.

He glanced at the person who had bumped into her, apologizing profusely, and he wondered for a minute whether it was a he or a she. He or she seemed awfully short, and he or she seemed to sport some kind of weird colored hairdo that would've made the Doctor suspect him of being another species; if he hadn't known that this tended to be the style lately for some individuals in the 21st century.

Then he eyed his sonic screwdriver, and moved off the wall into the cáfe. It was a nice homey little place that reminded him of his first visit to London. Technically his first visit with these eyes, but only one out of a string. He smoothly pocketed it as he sauntered over to Sonya's table by the window, then plopped himself down opposite of her. "Oh they have banana chips!" he exclaimed as he grabbed the menu standing perfectly on its edges. He looked almost ready to drool as he studied the choices. "Banana chips, do you know the last cáfe I was in removed it from their menu?" He seemed a cross between indignant, and pleased he'd found them again. "And tea...tea is always good...no bananas though," he mused idly as he went back to studying the menu, his legs having found their way over the side of his chair's arm rest, and his arm resting against the back of it.

Pav was a little startled by the brashness of the stranger in the dress. hadn't she noticed she was in the wrong country before this? surely she had gotten a hotel or something along the line as she didn't seem to have any luggage, and for that matter even if she had meant to be in London, still, a summer dress? something wasn't adding up. something really wasn't adding up.

Despite his confusion he still perked up at the question and began to answer, trying his hardest to be helpful "w-well there's always" he started to say, but she had already decided to go into the shop and warm up. It was a good idea but he hadn't gotten to answer her question. He looked to the man who seemed to be with her "you two could go to the-" but he didn't seem to hear and instead followed her into the shop. he stood on the sidewalk. "I exist," he pointed out to no one. no one believed him.

For a long moment he shifted his weight nervously on his feet. He hadn't gotten to answer, and she looked awfully cold, and he wasn't wearing much in terms of outerwear, they couldn't have been from here, not with the way she was dressed and he seemed to know her and she was in the wrong place then he must have been in the wrong place, or maybe he was in the right place? maybe he was in the right place and Pav was being completely useless just standing outside panicking about new people that he shouldn't care about and he really should just move on and continue to the pub, but something told him that maybe he should just step inside the cafe, I mean what harm could it really do? So he did. He shuffled in nervously and sat at the counter and asked in a quiet voice for something warm to drink and he was given it, his eyes never left the floor or the counter. If he looked up he might make eye contact.
