Ring the Bells Empty
PostSubject: Ring the Bells   Ring the Bells I_icon_minitimeTue Oct 08, 2013 2:13 pm

A dull roar echoed through the empty streets of London, all of it's inhabitants either hiding or already taken. So many lost, and no one knows where they've gone or what happened to them when they vanished. Just one second they were there, then suddenly, they weren't. Thousands of eyes lifted skyward as the threatening shadow passed by overhead, the underside of a bulky ship slowly cruised by, searching for someone else to take. With a collective sigh, the people of London breathed out in relief when it's immense size vanished out of their sight once again. Safe for another few hours it would seem.

A sudden, loud ringing caused the Doctor to jump under the control panel, consequently bashing the back of his head on the underside and swearing under his breath colorfully, causing the TARDIS to dim and brighten her lights in humor at his reaction. "Oh yea? Well, I'd like to see you fix your own circuits from now on if your going to be that way." He snapped at the time rotor in frustration, a hand rubbing the sore spot on his head, wincing slightly at the welt he felt beginning to swell up. "Blimey, what was that for anyway? Or did you think it would be funny and decided to do it without any reason at all?" He added, casting a curious glance at the controls in front of him before pulling the screen over to look at.

"Right then, well, you still have five minutes more before I would let you go anywhere, so might as well forget it." Waving a hand at the screen, the Doctor turned away and wiped his hands on his jeans, casting a slight grimace down at the state of his clothes. Covered in dust and machine fluids from the past hour he spent under her console, he began regretting not taking care of her sooner from how it looked under there. Felt sorry for the old girl, no wonder she'd been a little reluctant to go anywhere for the past week. "I'm going to clean up and change. And I told you, forget about it. You move one inch while I'm gone and I'll disconnect your auto pilot." He said sternly, pointing at the controls and felt slightly mollified from how her lights dimmed. "Right..." Casting a final glance at the screen, he studied the picture of a young man's face that had appeared there for another moment then turned back around and headed for the showers. He refused to set foot anywhere outside the TARDIS in dirty clothes.

Robin was headed towards the control room to see what the Doctor had planned for the day when she was squished against the wall to avoid being trampled by the very Time Lord. Catching sight of his clothing, she couldn't help but giggle. This wasn't the first time he'd waited too long to fix the TARDIS, and it certainly wasn't the first time she'd made him pay for it. Shaking her head, she finished her stroll to the console room, plopping down in the jump seat once she was there. Sometimes it felt like the TARDIS was trying to show how much she preferred Sonya as her mechanic than the Doctor. This was one of those times. The screen finally registered in Robin's view, causing her to get up and hurry to check it out. What was that? Just some random guy? Well she'd never know unless the Doctor wanted her too, thanks to the Gallifreyan wording scrawled across the monitor. Sighing in frustration, she crossed her arms and turned to lean back on the controls, eyeing the corridor she just came from. Hopefully the TARDIS wouldn't switch the halls around so she could just watch for his return. Then again, it seemed the old girl was always protesting something.

Ring the Bells Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ring the Bells   Ring the Bells I_icon_minitimeThu Oct 10, 2013 12:02 am

Syra sat down at her desk,as she let out a sigh, and went to her bookshelf, and pulled a book, making a door open to a smaller study. The walls were littered with clippings of aliens and invasions, and a bookshelf with journal like books, some over 100 years old. She had started hearing about the disappearances slowly, and when it kept going she started to get worried. Her radars went off, when a small family ran into her castle, and everyone avoided her castle. She gave them a room in her castle, and hoped they were the only ones. Nysil had stocked up their pantries and kitchen, and she know loved his obsession with Doomsday Preppers.
The disappearances kept happening, and then the ship started making itself known. She was not sure if she had seen them before, and after living 300 years, you can not remember everything. She was not made to save the world.but she kept saving any who crossed over her threshold. She touched a picture she had of the T.A.R.D.I.S,'we need your help,so where in time and space are you.'

She stood up and exited her secret office, and walked to the kitchen as the dinner table was full. She had one of the humans cook, she had no taste, she just did normal things for the memory. At least everyone,in her house was happy, she hated draining the sadness from them, but she had to feed every now and then. This was the most non painful and would not kill anyone, and she warned them before they stayed of the stipulation. it was probably better than what would happen with the aliens. She just hoped if The Doctor showed up,he would not be angered by her setup.

(( Hope this is ok,been having writer's block lately))

Rubbing his short hair briskly with a towel, the Doctor strode out of the shower and headed back down the hallway. Clean clothes made a new man, he heard that saying from somewhere before, was it Shakespeare that said it? No, he wouldn't say something like that... As he puzzled over the origins of the saying, he wandered into the control room and began working on the controls absentmindedly before realizing he wasn't alone. "Ah, Robin. Good timing, how about a quick trip to London for a little sight-seeing?" He asked brightly, turning to look at his companion with his usual, manic grin then turning back to the console and watching his hands as they flew over the controls quickly. "Something came up and I ought to look into it. Your along for the ride, so say yes, or end up spending a few hours if not a day or two alone in the TARDIS."

Robin rolled her eyes, moving from the controls so he could carry out whatever madness it took to fly this thing. 'Since when do I not come along? Seriously, you think I would choose not to run right into the face of trouble?' Smiling with the excitement of another trip, she turned the monitor towards the Doctor and pointed at it. 'Mind telling me what that says? No reason not to, if there was, you wouldn't let me come.' Eyeing the boy's face again, she tried to pick out some reason for it to have sent itself to the TARDIS. Missing people usually didn't matter, did they? Not unless something alien was taking them, but how did they manage to send a distress signal all the way over here? Then again, it might not have been. She still didn't understand how all of that worked.

PostSubject: Re: Ring the Bells   Ring the Bells I_icon_minitimeMon Oct 14, 2013 10:44 pm

Syra was sitting on her chair in her room,as black tears were running down her face. She was trying so hard to focus again, but the mental anguish of England was getting to her. They were all crying for help, and for someone to save them. She let out a sigh,as her wings bent forward, and she realized she was not cut out for saving the world. Syra had failed earlier, she had gone out trying to find some survivors, and she coaxed a woman out of hiding,to have her taken the minute she did. She hated losing people, and she hated betrayal more.

Her brother Nysil, was overcome by his hunger, and had locked himself in the dungeon. He was supposed to be in Japan,it was time for his yearly feed.It was down to the wire, and having humans under her roof, was not making her comfortable. She stood up from her bed,as she cleaned her face and headed downstairs. She nodded her head at one of the families,as she exited her castle. She did not try and hide in the shadows this time, she was not immortal, but her best kept secret made it seem that way. This was her planet, and she was tired of some aliens having fun. Her eyes were flashing red,as her wings were open widely. She was searching for some people to take with her,but she wanted to send the aliens a message. Syra was not going to be afraid, and she was daring them to take the challenge and face her head on. If they took, the bait, she would have to play it by ear,she only had self defense under her belt, and a couple of tricks she could do with her telepathy. That was the great thing about telepathy, every living thing alien or human had a brain to manipulate.

PostSubject: Re: Ring the Bells   Ring the Bells I_icon_minitimeWed Oct 16, 2013 11:53 am

With a large grin on his face, the Doctor flipped a couple of switches on the controls then landed them neatly in a narrow alleyway in London. Slipping his coat onto his shoulders, he looked over at Robin with a hesitant expression on his face. "Stay here until I say." With that order said, he turned around and strode towards the doors, slipping through them quickly and stopping just outside, his head tilting to the side slightly as he studied the area around him. Silence greeted his ears, something he shouldn't be hearing in London, not even at this time of night. There were always cars or people walking around, not this dead silence.

Just as he was about to turn around and step back into the TARDIS, an unearthly shriek sounded in the still air, causing what was left of his hair to stand up on end and his arms to break out in goose bumps. In all of his lives, he never heard anything like that, not on any of the planets he visited either. Without a backward glance, he slipped back into the TARDIS and slowly made his way back over to the controls. "Right, something is wrong here..." The Doctor mumbled under his breath, passing Robin by as he walked over to the screen and pulled it over to look at, his eyes narrowing in concentration while he stared at the image. "We need to find him."

Robin rolled her eyes, leaning back against the console once more at his instructions. Of course she wasn't allowed to follow him yet, too dangerous - as if that ever stopped her. Just as she was tempted to ignore him and look outside for herself, one of the loudest screams she'd heard in a long time reached the inside of the time machine. Eyes widened, she rushed over to the door to see what was going on just as he slammed the door shut. Dang it! That poor soul...  Her desperate wishes to go and save them wouldn't be enough to convince the Doctor to let her out there, not even a little bit. As she opened her mouth, no air had the chance to enter her lungs as the Doctor cut her off. Glaring at the monitor, she crossed her arms and rushed up to it, still unable to tell what was so important about this man. 'Why him? What are we looking for him for? I can't exactly read what that says so some info would be great.' Her voice took a harsh tone, although it wasn't aimed at him. Not entirely. If only she could get out there and find that person... Shaking it off with a sigh, she pretended to be interested in the photo while she impatiently waited for a translation.

PostSubject: Re: Ring the Bells   Ring the Bells I_icon_minitimeThu Oct 17, 2013 1:30 am

Syra knew what she was doing was extremely stupid, but she was Lots of planets have a north! off. She needed her home back, and to have the place safe for humans. If they remained at Darkangelle Castle, they might become dinner, her brother and herself had been foolish to let so many in. She was pulled out of her thoughts when a shriek broke through her mental barriers. She covered her ears,as black tears streamed down her face,as she tried to put her mental blocks up again. She cast her eyes to the sky,as she saw the ship, this had been a mistake. She might have a dragon heart, but she did not have the courage of a dragon. She thought she had seen movement in an alley earlier, but the scream had thrown her for a loop.

She headed in that direction,as whatever was hunting,it was looking for humans. She had not been human for over 300 years, and yet she kept her humanity. The aliens were keeping these humans, because no remains had been found. She folded her wings in,and still kept them visible. There were hardly humans here to hide her wings from anymore. She really should have watched the news more, and found out what solitary incident happened before chaos struck. That noise, there was something about it,it was mental as well as physical.

Shaking his head, the Doctor tried to get rid of the sound from his thoughts and focus on the task at hand. Turning his attention back to the screen he studied the information for a moment then glanced over at Robin. "A child genius apparently, he had been working on a bit of technology that would allow people to send signals to other universes, but something went wrong. He was working on another type of system update for his invention, and he just vanished. No trace of him, some people thought he hid away because of failure." Pausing for a moment again, he turned to look at the image again, a slight crease in his forehead as he thought.

"Well, no point standing around wondering. Missing genius, aliens attacking the people of London. How long do you think it would be before we're invited into their spaceship for tea?" With a wide grin, the Doctor spun back around and headed for the door. "Come on, best not keep them waiting, they aren't the most patient bunch. Already scanned the TARDIS twice, well, tried to. I doubt they'll be very happy about that."

Robin shook her head, unable to keep herself from smiling. That grin of his was contagious, she was sure of it. Even through the jokes and the grinning, she knew there must be something he wasn't saying. That, or he just didn't want to admit he didn't know every single thing for once. Ha. Now there's a thought. 'Alright, so we're just gonna stroll out there and let them kidnap us? Not exactly the plan of the century... Then again it's not really kidnapping if we're just lining up to be taken, is it?' Tucking a piece of hair behind her ear, she waited for him to exit before she left, the shriek from earlier frightening her enough to keep her in check. Stepping out cautiously, she slowly let the doors shut, trying to make as little noise as possible to hear something. Anything. 'Well this is unnerving...' She murmured, referencing to the silence that surrounded them. When a place was busy and loud, it was easier to stay hidden, but like this? They must have stuck out like a sore thumb.

Ring the Bells Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ring the Bells   Ring the Bells I_icon_minitimeFri Oct 18, 2013 11:18 pm

Looking around, she had not found anyone today, and that worried her. She did not feel any stray thoughts, and all living things had thoughts. Maybe, they were already trapped, and the ones disappearing had been the ones to escape. She thought back to her notebooks, and nothing seemed familiar. She was not thinking straight, and that usually was a bad thing. Something was wrong, and she needed to get back home. She was not the right bait,or they already had her. After that shriek, her abilities had started going wonky.

She looked towards her right, and began to notice something, she was not moving. Basically, she would walk for five minutes, and then appear where she started. She was trapped in her mind, and there was no telling what the aliens would do with her. They could already be doing something, because if Dark Syra was out,she would be strolling with the Fifth Doctor conversing. It was the one memory she kept, along with her brother and her father.

((Its all good hun lol we've all been there))

Turning to look over at Robin, the Doctor tucked his hands into his jacket pockets, searching around until he pulled his Sonic out and fiddled with it for a moment. "Right then, time to ring the doorbell, what do you think?" He asked brightly, ignoring the dim thought of something horrible was about to happen at the back of his head as he lifted his sonic up into the air and pressed the button on the side, activating it and letting out a loud warbling noise. Plugging his ear with his other finger, he twisted the sonic to the side slightly, making the noise go into a louder pitch that echoed down the streets of London for at least a mile.

Looking up at the sky, he studied it for a moment before finally spotting a faint mass of shadow spreading across one side and lowered the sonic back to his side then slipping it into his pocket once more. "Hold on." He chuckled at Robin, standing upright at complete ease as a light surrounded them for a moment, then dissapeared, leaving them in a dark room surrounded by vague, shadowed figures circling around them.

Robin raised an eyebrow as 'ringing a doorbell' was mentioned. Alright, so how exactly were they going to do that? Her question was answered for her as the Doctor thrust his sonic into the air and created and earsplitting noise. Wincing, she covered her ears and ducked her head as she waited for... whatever was supposed to result from this. Eyes slamming shut as the volume increased, she began thinking of things she wouldn't be able to do anymore now that her ears have exploded. The abrupt stop of the shrieking sound was a great relief, so great in fact that she didn't bother to unplug her ears until she was sure it was over and that she didn't just go deaf. Glancing over at the Doctor to see what was going on now, she noticed he was looking up at the sky. Before she had a chance to get a look at whatever it was, they were surrounded by a rather bright light, causing her to shield herself for the second time in 2 minutes.

Once the light disappeared, she peeked an eye open and... Oh no. Straightening up, she glanced around the room, trying to get an idea of what was going on, but she could only focus on one thing. Death. This right here, this was almost exactly like death. Her speeding heart was calmed a little once she dug her nails into her palm, proving to herself that they did not die. Alright, that was something, at least. But the simple fact that whatever was here was imitating actual death wasn't exactly a consolation...

The room slowly came into focus,as Syra's eyes opened, and she looked around. She would have hung her head down, but seeing as she was strapped down that would not help,"What else would I expect from aliens, lets find out how the winged lady works."

She only mumbled this under her breath, she could always scream like a banshee. She would probably not enjoy what they would do to her. They had not even faced her, just took her after disabling her mentally. She heard commotion outside of the room, and just thought their newest batch is here. She was finding her mind was getting sharper,as she began to think of a way to escape. She could attack the next person that came in mentally and have them release her and then she could force them to release the others. If they refused, she would kill them,or die trying, she wanted the old London back. She remembered everything London has been through, and she knew something drew them here. She knew that the instruments laying about could probably cut through bone, and she had a feeling they wanted her wings. She was not going to go quietly,as she watched the door, and dared one of them to enter.

PostSubject: Re: Ring the Bells   Ring the Bells I_icon_minitimeSun Oct 20, 2013 2:43 pm

Clasping his hands behind his back, the Doctor studied the shadowed figures around them with his usual smile, waiting for one of them to step forward or to start speaking. After waiting for nearly five minutes, he decided to take matters into his own hands and stepped forward, calling attention to himself once more as he raised a hand into the air, waving it slightly before dropping it back down to his side. "Hello! I'm the Doctor! Care to explain exactly why your kidnapping humans?" He finally asked brightly, curiously turning his gaze from one figure to the next in front of him as they shifted around just outside of his line of view.

Turning to the side slightly, he looked over at Robin from the corner of his eyes, motioning for her to move and stand next to him in case their hosts decided to take them somewhere, he wanted her close to help prevent separation. "What? No answer? Cat got your tongue?" The Doctor added with his usual sass, his eyebrow raising up when he turned to look at the silent figures once again, his patience already reaching it's breaking point. But before he could make another comment, there was a low buzzing sound that pricked at his ears. The only warning he had before a sudden jolt of pain lanced through his chest, causing him to to drop to the floor with a grunt of pain. "Ah! What was that for? All I did was ask an honest question."

Robin's uneasiness only built with every second they stood there, the five minutes seeming like eternity. She almost jumped once the Doctor finally spoke, taking a second to recognize the sound. Looking up at him, she noticed he was trying to get her to stay close - or at least that's what she got from it - and did exactly that. Right now she didn't feel like she was in the position to ask questions about it. A few moments later and the buzzing sounded, followed by the Doctor collapsing to the ground. Eyes widened, she rushed down to his side. Right then and there, she was about to yell at the shadows, but decided against speaking at all to avoid the same fate. Her eyes searched his for a moment before she straightened back up, offering him a hand, even if it wouldn't be much help with her strength and height. Still, this wasn't exactly a fun situation and the contact wouldn't hurt. She had so many things she wanted to say, so many questions to ask, but not a single one left her mouth in fear of.. whatever it was they just did.

Ring the Bells Empty
PostSubject: Re: Ring the Bells   Ring the Bells I_icon_minitimeMon Oct 21, 2013 12:31 am

The alien had entered the room, and was readying for its next test. Syra watched the alien, and narrowed her eyes,as she heard voices, and took that as an opportunity. She let out a banshee like yell, and towards the alien in the room. Well,he was about to get a full dose of Black death, and she hoped he writhed in pain. The thing about Black Death,is you experience the pain you have caused other by ten. So in essence it would kill itself,or that was the plan. They could not do any experiments without their lab workers. But first thing first, she had to get off the table, she entered the alien's mind, and she met with little resistance. She was almost free, when more showed up,and Syra yelled out.

"Bloody hell, why are you always coming to London,go bug Roswell once in a while."

Syra was Lots of planets have a north! off and cuffed to a bed.She started unleashing attacks trying to stun them,or shut them down momentarily.

Looking up at Robin, the Doctor forced a grin onto his face and slowly got back to his feet. "It's fine. Just stay close." He murmured under his breath to her before returning his attention back to the figures, his grin fading away into a frown while studying them. "Scanning me with something that high intensity would cause pain, as you saw. You scan a human with that same setting and they'll die. Their organs will be cooked right inside of them." He said sharply, ignoring the fact that the shadowed figures froze and turned to look at hi, or so he thought, it was rather hard to distinguish faces in this lighting.

Without a word, the figures all exited the room as one, leaving behind two that beckoned to Robin and the Doctor for them to follow before turning and leaving through a different door as the others, waiting just inside of the next room, their figures suggesting that they were looking back at the two friends as if in question. "I suppose they want us to follow them." He murmured idly, reaching over and grabbing his young companions hand and leading her towards the doorway.

Robin tried not to show her panic at this news, but... That was truly terrifying. Really, they could kill her any second, just by scanning her. Eyes trained on the figures that beckoned to them, she followed the Doctor as closely as she could. So far, her opinion on these creatures wasn't good, and she was sure they'd feel the same about her. Such a weak little girl, unnerved by their very presence. Taking a deep breath, she stepped through the doorway and waited for something to happen, wishing desperately that nothing would.

She looked at the aliens, and she was seething mad. Her eyes kept going from her docile ice blue to the dangerous red reptilian, and she felt her evil side begging to be loose. She had worked so hard to get free from the prison inside her own mind, and some backwater aliens were about to destroy that. She was glad Nysil was not here to see this;he would be laughing his head off at her.

She decided to take a deep breath, and maybe there was a way to still get out of her predicament. She had really never given them a chance to answer,or ask them what they wanted. She had always been hurt by humans, but she did not want them to pay.She guessed she played the human because she never truly got to live her life. She wondered if they saw her as a threat and that was the reason behind her position. maybe they saw her as a threat to humanity and were trying to save them from what they feared from her. She closed her eyes, just whispering," I just want to have my home back."
