Mistee [new character]

She has lived at home her whole life for now. A near 20 y/o suffering from ADHD, anxiety, depression, and social anxiety, on a ton of meds to try to help it. Part of her wants friends and a social life but most of her is ok that she doesn't have any. Not interested in a romantic relationship. Wishing she could get away from the boring life she as of yet leads. She loves to read and always carries a book, at least one anyway, sometimes two if she's close to the end of the first one. She wears a TARDIS necklace every day and basically the show is her life outside books. She likes reptiles, specifically snakes, but all reptiles. She is also a cat person. Anywhere she goes, she carries a leather backpack with four small pockets and one big main pocket. She will only wear male jeans for the loose fit and huge pockets, to carry her main electronics and anything she might want to pick up. She also is perfectly ok and actually prefers to wear the exact same clothes every day and changes as seldom as possible. She also wears a shiny Umbreon hoodie with ears and a tail. At any time, in her bag or pockets, on her person she has: [pockets] her phone; her 3DS; her iPod/headphones [earbuds]; her wallet including ID and house keys; fidget dodecahedron; smaller fidget cube; a few more necklaces she may want to put on at any given time, including pokemon necklaces and a triforce necklace;; [bag] Solar charger with a USB cord for phone charging, one for 3DS charging, and one for iPod charging; a few pens; a few sharpies; a 0.5 mechanical pencil and an extra eraser; RPG dice; a small tissue pack; several 3DS games that she may need for reference or trading, and a normal DS game in an action replay device; a small metal slinky, a fidget spinner; a toy 10's sonic screwdriver which came with psychic paper she also carries in the same pocket; a flashlight; a hardcover memo book; sunglasses; her digital camera along with its charger; examples of a 3D printing project she did for her robotics team back in high school; a 64gb flash drive with music, a few movies, and special videos on it, with still some spare space; med bottles with a months supply; a med bottle with ibuprofen in it for other random pain; chapstick; a pocket knife; nail clippers; and remember on top of this she always carries a book in her arms. Also, on her left wrist she wears a few hair binders in case she wants to tie her hair back; a random mood bracelet; and a pokemon go plus. and on the right wrist, a long-ish shoelace wrapped around to fit nicely, and a survival strap bracelet with the colors and emblem of FIRST, the robotics competition her high school team was in. Most of the few shirts she wears are pokemon related, but she does have one that says "Don't panic and carry a towel" in the "keep calm and" format. Of course she dreams of adventure, even with her social anxiety, if she got the chance to run away with anyone, she'd take it in a heartbeat.

Personality: mostly happy, but suffering from depression brings mostly apathy. when off ADHD meds, highly hyperactive. enjoys reading. very introverted, highly socially anxious. tries to avoid social situations. very quiet. keeps to herself.
Strengths: taking direction, not easily scared, tries to be logical.
Weakness: ADHD and anxiety/depression, insists on carrying a bag with a ton of stuff [see bio.], when meds wear off.
Likes: reading, quiet environments
Dislikes: crowds, being the center of attention, too much social interaction.
Dream: maybe, one day, adventure will come.

History: A home life with no eventful things. grew up not depressed, developed depression around 12 y/o. ADHD since about 6. In high school, joined robotics and got into 3D design and printing. Growing up, she always took note of things she wished she had when she didn't, so that's why she got a backpack and carries so many things. The shoelace on her wrist was at first just a way to not be bored, to use for cat's cradle, but it ended up having many uses... and she can use it to tie almost anything up and sling it over her shoulder, specifically a water bottle, but a ton of other things as well. She has grown up being ahead of her class usually in reading. She has read too many books to list here, but she knows it's still not enough and can only hope she doesn't miss a reference before she has the chance to read where it came from. 10's sonic was always her favorite, even after 11 came up with his, so that's why she carries that. She really wishes it really worked. The book she currently carries is the fourth book of the Left Behind series.

The Doctor is stuck under a flickering streetlamp, you are on the opposite side of the street. It's midnight, no moon or stars, the only lights around are the lamp the Doctor is under, and the light in front of a closed store you stand under.

The only way to the Doctor is to cross the dark street, easy, right? Wrong. This planet is well-known for being infested with Vashta Nerada. Any shadow anywhere could be infested with them. You have a small pack on your back with several items in it that you could use to get to him.

A chicken leg
A flashlight

A rubber duck
a raincoat

Mistee grabs the chicken leg and tosses it into the shadow in front of her, watching as it get stripped in seconds. She pulls out the flashlight and shines it out, holding it straight above her head attempting to keep a veil of light around her as she cautiously steps out of the light of the street lamp. The first step is OK. But it seems that a few shadows are slowly bypassing the flashlight's light, so she takes off running to the other side of the street. Wind rushes past her ears and blows her hair back. She feels a few scratches, and when she looks down is bleeding a bit, but mostly makes it across in one piece.
"Take that!" she yells into the darkness, and throws the carrot into the shadows, but nothing happens. The Vashta Nerada must dislike vegetables as much as she did. Shivering a little, she puts on the raincoat, hoping it will help retain some of her body heat. Her ADHD kicks in a little, and she pulls out the rubber duck and the sonic screwdriver, and sonics the duck. nothing really happens, and she doesn't really know what she was expecting. She leaves the matches alone for now, she might need them later.

but seriously though, what's the past tense of "sonic"? is there a K "sonicked" or is it just "soniced" but to me the second one looks like it would be a soft c... help?

That's a good question. As a character who never uses one, that problem's never come up for me :0 It's probably sonicked, because panic turns into panicked??? But I mean you can always write sonic-ed?? ? I don't know lol.

You're history's good now (: Good enough to be approved, at least~~ You said you're new at this, right? :p Go ahead and experiment. You can decide more specifics about her as you play her out.

My one warning for you is to be careful about knowing about DW the show. We've kind of gone on the premise that the show doesn't exist in the main verse, more or less?? I don't think that's been explicitly stated, though. Having characters from alternate universes is pretty common, though, so you can try and contact an active timelord and have their TARDIS throw a fit or something, lol. Up to you what you do, but my ACTUAL warning: be chill with how much she knows about things~ Like it's a little OP to happen to know so much about the Doctor and space, so just be cautious with it.

ok. mostly I wanted the show in there because I want her to have that TARDIS necklace. I could change the part about the show being her life, and she has the necklace because she thought police boxes were cool? XD I don't know

Oh its not a big problem! You can still have it in there~ And most of the people on the site RP with non-canon characters an aliens anyway, so it's not like she'd have foreknowledge of those :p So you're probably fine. Plus, i think having someone who knows it from the TV show could prove interesting!

Open RPs around here can get a little messy :> They tend to get a lot of people in them, and they slow down really fast. Your best bet is to jump into the discord chat and say hello! Sometimes people are around and you can ask to start a closed RP with them! (: It's mostly just me, Sonya, and Dubby, but we can yell at Charity really loud and get her to show up :p
