The Watcher in the Night Watches No More

resting his head in his hands he wondered what he would do then he realized how stupid he still was. shooting up he raced threw his TARDIS trying to get to Theta before his brother did something malevolent

"Koschei." He stated, staring at the little fish in the TARDIS. ~ The Drumming has gotten louder... ~ He thought, smirking gratefully.

Theta froze. What. What? WHAT? He could only stand there and stare, gaping like the fish the Timelor -no. Kos- was looking at. After a few moments he spoke.

"K-Kos? Oh Rassilon, I wasn't expecting that..." Theta laughed, leaning against the wall for support "So was not expecting that. I thought you died in the Time War like everyone else, but you're alive...we were still friends in this Universe, right? Or no, you were treating me kind of coldly...don't tell me we hated eachother's guts!"

racing he drew his dagger and busted into the control room "Brother Stop!" pointing his dagger the Anti-time crystal bathed the entire room in crimson light. "step away from the console and place your hands up now, and do it slowly" stepping closer. "you many care about me in your own way but I know who he is and I know how you feel about you feel about him, and him you'd be happy to kill. so BACK OFF" he stepped forward and glared at his brother.

The Master stared at his brother, backing away from the console. "Oh, you know me so well." He said sarcastically, amusement in his face. "So you should know that, even if you try to stop me, I'll kill both of them." He smirked, the Drums getting a bit quieter. "Aw, now look what you did. The Drums are back to being quiet again." He said in a mock sad voice.

Theta froze. Wait. Kill? He shakily backed away. Kill him and his TARDIS.

This wasn't Kos. Or the one he knew, at least. Kos wouldn't do this. No...no, this wasn't him. This was a complete stranger. His eyes turned cold, and he spoke in an authoritative voice he rarely ever used.

"Both of you, get off. Now. I doubt you'd like protocol 15. So take your petty little fights elsewhere; I won't have any part of the killing of our race. Honestly, the war is over, and you are so used to fighting Daleks that you turn to each other once they are all gone"

Standing his ground the Warden gripped his dagger in an aggressive stance, "You did not kill The Doctor, you will not kill him. I will stop you brother." he turned and glared at Theta "Do not think me like him, I fought to save those he wishes to enslave, he ran away from the war in fear. This is not petty BOY! That is the master a war criminal and violator of over 200 temporal laws, creator of over 50 paradoxes. And I am the Warden last solder of Gallefray and I will see to it he never harms any one again. But we are not leaving.” He stood down slightly and turned to Theta. “My TARDIS is a battle class meant for war while it is coded to my biometrics if he somehow got control of it, the results could be disastrous, so we are going to take him to a human colony and isolate him from the vortex so he can commit not more crimes in time. And I’m sorry if you have a problem with that but this is The Master, I’m not taking any chances. You’re TARDIS is clearly from a different dimension, it runs on a White Point Star not the Eye of Harmony and will be harder for him to commandeer.” Walking toward his brother he tried to shuffle him into a corner to prevent his escape.

Theta raised his eyebrows, glancing towards the Master.

"Well in that case, I would have to help you with that. It's not like I want paradoxes running amok either, you know"

Theta sighed, his mind running over what had just happened in the last few hours. All because he had decided to answer a distress signal. Now there was practically the top criminal and top cop of Gallifrey facing each other down right in front of him. Honestly, Theta was terrified, but it was easier to seem angry than to seem like some helpless, scared kid. Because if there was anything that made Theta irritated, it was people who thought he was just a kid. Well, humans and some other races were the exceptions since they didn't know any better, but regardless. He didn't graduate the Academy way before anyone else for nothing. He stuffed his anger out of sight for the moment's being.

The Master shook his head, chuckling. "You really think that will stop me? I can escape anything, even death. "

"Stop you? I don't know if any one but him can truly stop you, and I won't kill you. So stranding you in a technological stone age is all we can do." he eased back with his brother secure in the corner dagger still drawn. How long till we arrive Theta? i want this done quickly."

Theta bounded up to the console, starting to press the necessary buttons on the hologram panels in order to get the TARDIS moving. He even pressed the stabilizers for once, preventing the high pitched wheezing noise that usually occurred when he flew her. The white point star lit up, sending tendrils of energy up and down the Type 57's hourglass and making the water around sparkle. It would have been a pretty sight if it weren't for the severity of the situation.

"Not long, thirty seconds at most"

The Master glared at his brother, unconsciously tapping the beat of the Drums on the wall behind him. "You're irritating me, brother. And I think we all know that isn't a very smart thing to do."

The Warden stood strong. "Smart or not, this is happening. the sooner you come to peace with it brother the better it will go. you didn't kill me so i won't kill you, but i won't let you hurt any one else." he turned his back the Anti-time core glowing in its holster. "Its what he would do"

The Master glared at him, his eye twitching in anger. "What he would do?! When did you turn into a little suck up?!"

Theta only could look helplessly between the two, not aware of the inner workings of the conflict. Whatever it was, though, made both obviously VERY angry at each other.

The Warden Glared at his brother, "Do not assume to understand my motives. let us simply say that have a new found admiration for The Doctors pacifist methods." staring down his brother he tilred his head, eyes not leaving the Master. "ETA?"

The Master frowned, then sat on the floor, pouting like a child. "Stupid Doctor. Why can't you be like me?" He muttered, crossing his arms childishly.

"yeah?" Theta questioned, looking over to the Warden in response to his name being said. The TARDIS was beginning to land, if the small increase in energy coming from the white point star was any indicator. The usual wheezing sound wasn't there due to the breaks being off and the stabilizers being on.

The Warden knelt down and placed a hand on his brothers shoulder and gazed into his mad eyes. "I was like you brother. I aspired to be like you.THEN you went mad. Now I ashamed to be related to you. standing up he looked down at his brother "And I have no intention of being the Doctor, in fact when I do meet him ill probably break his nose." turning his back on the Master he spoke again "nether of you truly know what you have done to Time, and our people. My people"

The Master rolled his eyes at his brothers words. "So dramatic." He mumbled, shaking his head. "The drums are growing quieter...Why?"

looking back at his brother "The drums grow quiet when I am away from you, I'm taking you to a planet that should dampen there sound if not block it forever. It is my last gift to you brother, you man never hear them again" turning back around he checked Thetas console

With a loud 'woosh', the TARDIS landed. Thete looked up from where he had been steering the box at Warden, face grim, not sparing a glance to 'Kos'.

"We're here"

The Master glared at his brother, gritting his teeth. "What makes you think I want them to go away?" He asked, walking towards him. "I need the drums. It's what keeps me insane."

turning swiftly on his heels he drew his dagger and pointed it square at his brothers chest "Not another step!" He orders "your insanity is your illness, out the door and be gone with you. and don't think i wont force you." he ushered his brother toward the open door and onto the planet.

The Master rolled his eyes, casually walking out the door and onto the planet.

Little did they know, the Master planted something into to the TARDIS, and it would take effect once they close the doors.
