Family Reunion? Nah, Not Really.

Alexander stood on a enormous staircase, watching the people of this so-called 'charity' event converse with one another. Sighing, he walked down, placing his glass of champagne on a couple's table, ignoring their glare.
He stood behind the man who was hosting this whole event, who was currently laughing with a few others, until Alexander tapped his shoulder, flashing a polite smile at the others, who walked away.
"Sir, may I borrow your phone?" He asked, frowning, fixing his tie in feigned worry. "I seemed to have forgotten it, and I need to check on my wife, she's terribly ill."
The man nodded, taking out his phone and handing it to him. "Here you go; I'm sorry to hear about your wife." He said. "My wife was sick a while back, bedridden."
Alexander nodded, though not actually listening. He inserted a small computer chip into the USB port,earning a suspicious stare from the host. "What are you doing?"
"Oh, nothing much," He said, shrugging. "I'm just transferring all the money you're getting from this event, along with your past ones, into my back account." He smirked at the man's shocked and slightly angered expression.
"I'll have you arrested for that!" He hissed, about to call for security.
"I wouldn't do that, sir, as we wouldn't want you to get arrested for stealing, now would we?"
The man sputtered, trying to find the right words. "B-but, I'm not stealing and you are!"
"Technically, you stole it first." He said, walking off.
"SECURITY!"
"Oh, fantastic." Alexander muttered, calming blending into the panicking crowd.
The security guards were pushing people out of the way, trying to reach him, but he quickly exited the building, walking into his car.
"Forgot about this..." He said, before taking out his computer chip throwing the host's phone across the parking lot, it landing on the ground and shattering.
"Farewell, then!" He called out, waving to the running security guards, going into his car and speeding away.

Once he arrived at his mansion house, having parked his car in a lake, he walked inside, closing and locking his door behind him, smirking.
"Another day, another dollar." He chuckled, adding, "More like millions." He sat on his plush couch, quickly falling asleep, not bothering with the lights.

Braxien slumped in his chair, it was a long tim since he did any actual proper work. He worked for the agency, a detective organisation dealing with small scaled crimes all the way up to larger ones. Sighing, he picked up today's newspaper and read the front page: THE CHARADE STRIKES AGAIN.

"Hey boss, who is this Charade fellow?"

"Highly wanted but no one could get close enough to arrest him, let alone question him." His boss responded.

Braxien asked whether he could have a shot as he was the only one with the potential to get to him as he had the teleportation device. So, setting the coordinates, Braxien teleported himself to the recent-last place they had spotted him.


"Should have been used to this..." Braxien commented. Getting up and dusting himself off, he walked into the building and seemingly, taken one glance and could tell what had happened. It was a simple infiltration technique, something caught his eye.

"Hey! Anyone check in the parking lot?" Braxien asked one of the space police at the scene, looking down off the balcony

With that, as the police turned around, Braxien jumped off the balcony and landed next to the mobile phone, partly disassembled and started to type in the coordinates that the phone signal was giving off.

He arrived at a large house, which could have been called a mansion and strolled up to the door, eyes flicking around everywhere.

DING DONG!!

Braxien reached for his handcuffs but realized it might not be the person he was intending to find.

"Excuse me, do you know where I could find the Charade?"

"Don't go in there!" Juliet yelled, running down the street. "There's a murderer who steals and he's a brat and he hurt me and-" she was cut off by a large crash as she tripped on the sidewalk managing to knock herself out.

Alexander groaned, waking up.
"I'm coming, I'm coming."
He trudged to the door, opening the doo.
Upon hearing his nickname, he pretended to be confused, then realization appeared on his face.
"Oh, that that bloke! No, sorry, I don't know where he is, wouldn't be able to anyway, no one knows what he looks like." He smiled apologetically, going to close his door. "Right, sorry for wasting your time." He closed his door, sighing.
"I need to get ready for this sort of thing or I might get caught..." Alexander yawned, actually turning off the lights and jumping back on the couch.

Braxien raised his eyes in suspicion. Something about the paused between hearing his nickname and replying took way too long. He stood there, hand going towards his pistol, he wasn't going to be tricked. Although he wasn't really a detective or a police officer, he had done his research. This was The Charade.

"Wasting my time, huh?" Braxien smiled triumphantly as the door slammed in his face.

DING DONG DING DONG!

Doorbells. I do love them, so much fun to play with...

When no one came to the door, he pressed the bell repeatedly. He was growing short of patience and he wanted to get the person, so he could continue with the workload piling up on his desk.

"Alright! Open up!" Braxien said, banging on the door.

Princess Koriand'r was flying by before seeing someone familiar, she flew down to him and she definitely recognized the man, "Hello again, Human." She said happily as she bowed her head a little to Brax, she never found out his name so she just called him Human. "It is nice to see you again." She said before looking to the house, "Why were you banging on the door? Is someone in there that you need to have the talk with?" She wondered curiously, it was clear her English was not the best, especially when she spoke like that.

Braxien stumbled slightly at the sight of the princess. He remembered her from the rooftop, along with the vampire. It shook him how she had called him 'human' and bowed.

He gave a small salute and stuck out his hand for a handshake. "Nice to see you again, too. I'm on a job, very important. If you…"

Braxien stopped himself, he didn't want to anger the princess or seem rude. He then informed her that he was seeing a close friend, an obvious lie. The Charade was in that house and she was distracting him from doing his job properly. This time, he needed to talk to The Charade. He seemed all too familiar and not the sense of being a criminal, but his face…no, snap out of it, he's a criminal!

"Sorry, we haven't been properly introduced, I'm Braxien Lythis. You?"

Braxien turned back to the door, he rung the doorbell once again, a fake smile plastered on his face as he glanced at the princess.

Alexander groaned, standing up and yanking the door open.
"I know you're the police and all," He started, his hand tapping on the door. "But some people are trying to sleep, so, if you don't mind, take your magically appearing girlfriend," He gestured to Koriand'r, smiling sarcastically. "And go back to you little department."
As he slammed the door, he looked through the peep hole, studying them.
Well, that girl's strange, appearing out of nowhere like that, but he looks familiar. Must be an officer I've encountered before. He smirked. He must feel like a legend.
Giving up with attempting to sleep, he took out his phone, checking his bank account.
"Almost richer than Bill Gates..." He muttered, chuckling. "Oh, this is fun."

Braxien looked confused at the princess for shaking his arm instead of the hand but he went along with it none the less.

Braxien huffed as the face reappeared and disappear in a matter of a few seconds. He turned to the princess after the Charade's remark and gave an apologetic smile.

"Oi, I'm speaking to you!" His fuse was deadly short. "Okay, fine…fine. Have it your way."

He backed up the road slightly before charging at it, shoulder facing the door. He rammed all of his body weight and strength against the door, which in turn, cracked off the hinges.

One more should do it. Braxien told himself once regaining his balance. He hung back slightly waiting for the Charade to reappear but he didn't. Braxien shrugged his shoulders, putting minimum force on the door and it fell, he pretended to fall in with it.

He straightened himself and looked around the house. "Nice place you got here. You know, you could have made it easy for yourself by opening the door and actually letting me in."

Braxien sat himself down on the nearest piece of furniture and waited for the Charade's response to this. His eyes darting all around the inside of the house.

Alexander stared at him, still processing that he broke his door down.
"You have to pay for that you know!" He shouted, glaring at him, locking his phone quickly. He glanced at the door, frowning. "This is England, man. You don't just break a person's door down." He grumbled, sitting on the armchair across from him.
"Alright, you've got my attention, and you've broken into my house, so what exactly do you want?" He asked, crossing his arms and legs. He glowered at him, cursing him under his breath.
"Oh, and don't think I'm not reporting this." He spat, leaning forward angrily. "I'm positive you're going to get fired for breaking and entering into a citizen's home at what," He checked the time. "Ten o'clock at night!" He slumped back, tapping his foot impatiently. "Now, answer my question, what do you want?"

"The Charade. I think," Braxien held up a photograph. "It's you, man."
Braxien paused and crossed his arms over his chest. "Yes, I am going to get yelled at but that is all, not fired."

He got up and walked up and down, checking the door frame. He patted it and returned to sit next to the man he was arresting.

He took out the handcuffs, "I'm arresting you on the suspicion of being The Charade. Anything you say will be used as evidence in court, do you understand?"

Braxien stopped, he knew this man from before but the boundaries of timelines prevented him from remembering. The Charade…looked so familiar, a cousin maybe? He shook his head and proceeded to walk him out of his house.

He leant towards the man's ear. "However, I can cut you some slack. Here's an offer, I release you but on one condition, you stay out of trouble and don't cross my path. If I even remotely hear about you causing an uproar, I will NOT hesitate to arrest you and put you in prison. Deal?"

Alexander glared at him, being forced out of his house.
He was silent at Braxien's offer, debating whether or not to take it.
"Fine, fine." He muttered, frowning. "But no promises."

Braxien cautiously removed the handcuffs, ready for any sudden movement whether it was a punch or him running off, he was ready.

"I'll be watching."

Was all Braxien had said as he made his departure. Unknowingly to the man, he had placed four nano camera around his living room. He smirked to himself, feeling quite confident that he was going to meet this man again.

There was this nagging voice at the back of his head, telling him to look. He looked around but there was nothing else to see, his eyes fell back upon the man and the familiar image popped up again.

So familiar...

Alexander grumbled, walking back into his house.
"I'll be watching," He mimicked, rubbing his wrists. "Sure, whatever, man." He rolled his eyes, kicking his door.
"Now what do I do? Anyone could just stroll in here and steal my stuff! And after all the trouble I went to find it?" He sighed, walking upstairs to his room. "I'll deal with it in the morning, I guess."
As he plopped down on his bed, he stared at the ceiling, a confused expression on his face.

I've seen him, I swear. Who is he?

Braxien watched as he walked away, the single question running through his mind: Who is he? The face is too familiar, where have I seen him before?

Braxien then teleported back to his office and watched the screens to see what he would do next and quickly typed his name into the computer to see whether the data banks had something to say about his history and why the man looked too familiar.

"What the...where is my phone?" Braxien walked around his desk, lifting various files and dropping them off the table. "Charade."

It was a quick conclusion but would be a suitable scapegoat and quickly teleported.

'Teleporter recallibrating...'

Braxien huffed and jogged down the stairs to catch a taxi but didn't have any idea where the address was and had to get out of the taxi, left wandering around the remotest and greenest parts of the city.

"All the trouble I go through to get this guy..."
