Welcome to the Universe

Theta couldn't help but shiver, tucking his arms in and squeaking a "me?". Well, Syra was right; he was the only guy in the group. Rassilon, he'd be fine with kidnapping, since he could always get out of any prison with his trusty sonic...but eaten? No no no no, nope, do not want...

Sonya let out a loud laugh at what Syra said then Thet's reaction. "Maybe you should regenerate, Thet. Be a woman next time so you won't be kidnapped and have your testosterone sucked out. Well then again, if that were to happen... You'd still be a woman with the wrong parts that don't work." She added as an afterthought, leaning down to pick up the pipe she had kicked and examining it for a moment before tossing it off to the side and wandering through an open doorway into the back of the warehouse, searching around the quiet area with interest. "Oi! I found boxes that haven't been opened, big crates of them!" Leaning over, she grabbed a crowbar and began heaving on the lid of one of the crates to open it.

"Wow." Was the only word Mal could breathe out as the group entered the warehouse.  She had begun to shake and her paranoia raised.  This caused her to flinch and huff at every shadow and noise.  A scream even left her lips when Sonya kicked the pipe.  Mal was bristling and the clomping of her boots only unnerved the poor girl more. 

The bantering occurring between the Time Lord and Lady baffled her.  These guys were nuts!  Slowing her pace, Mal turned around back the way they came and yelped, instinctively reaching out and tugging on the closest person.  "Wh-what is that?!"

Syra shrugged her shoulders,and then Mal tugged on her,"what is you are scared of?" her voice was calm. Mal was already scared,so Syra,returned her eyes to human looking eyes. " if the creatures are dim minded,I can cast an illusion as myself being a guy. Though I forgot I cast it when I was eyeing a cute guy."

  Syra let the illusion off her wings again,so they were visible to others,if something was in this warehouse with them,she was going to need her powers at full strength. She compromised with DarkSyra,and the darker side would come out if she had to fight.

"Hey, guys, I think I may have found something!"

Theta pushed aside a dusty crate, under which he'd seen some sort of light. On the floor, previously covered by the crate, sat a metal panel, a few buttons blinking on and off around the edges. He kneeled down by it, taking out his sonic and scanning it.

"Hm...it's a-aaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

The floor underneath Theta opened up like a trap door, and the surprised Timelord was sent tumbling down a rusty metal chute which you couldn't even see the bottom of. Behind him, the trap door closed with a click, blending in with the floor, leaving no indication that it was ever there.

Inside the chute...

"AHHHHHHHHH!!!" Theta yelled as he fell, trying to get a grip on anything on the sides of the smooth chute. It angled, and suddenly it was less falling and more like a really steep slide. His eyes were wide with fright as he clawed at the metal, trying to slow down.

"STUPID TRAP DOOR! STUPID GRAVITY!"

There was a turn in the chute, a wall, then everything went black.

(and you say i treat my character bad lol)

Sonya's head poked out of the doorway, a frown on her face as she studied the others in the room. "Where's Thet? He was just here, I just heard him say something then yell out." Stepping into the room, she eyed the shadows curiously then looked over at Mal and Syra. "Did you two see where he went?"

(short i know but im on my phone)

"H-he was here just a moment ago! Oh, god, the freaks got him, didn't they?" Mal looked around when Sonya brought up the issue at hand.  She then wearily looked at Syra, not quite understanding how this illusion stuff even worked.  Making a quick decision, she walked over to Sonya and planned on keeping close.  Jeez, the paranoia just kept on creeping up.  At least she wasn't a man... poor Theta!

"oww..."

Theta blurry blinked his eyes open to the view of a very rusty ceiling, a wires hanging from it.

"wha'?!?"

He shot upwards from the position he was lying in, looking around with wide eyes. Last thing he remembered was the trap door, then the chute, then a wall. He quickly brought his hands up, feeling his face. The young Timelord breathed a sigh of relief. No, he didn't regenerate or anything; good.

Getting onto his feet, he looked around. He seemed to be in a metal corridor of some sort. The floors were grated, and the walls and ceiling were made of the same rusty metal the chute was. In the ceiling not far away, there was a circular door, obviously the place where he'd been thrown out of.

He walked over to it, and reached for his sonic...just to remember he dropped it. His heard whirrled around, searching the floor for any indication of the device. It was not down here, as far as he could see. It must have still been up in the warehouse.

Halt. Unknown Entity. Identify yourself

Theta froze, and turned around slowly. A floating robot hovered a few meters away, looking kind of like the one blue eyed robot from the Portal games.

"Erm...I dunno where I am, what is this place?"

You are not authorized to ask questions. You will be brought to the controller now.

To Theta's surprise and terror, about a dozen laser guns popped out of the sides of the robot, aimed at him. He raised his arms in surrender as it flew over and behind him, urging him to walk forward.

A large heavy panel shut closed behind them, shutting the main corridor off from the 'front step'.

((lol, you can start lookin', you know. I just mean don't run into Thet down there right away. Just in case you're wondering, it's a sort of alien underground base ^^))

Syra looked at Sonya,and then looked around for Theta. She was not feeling his brainwaves,but that could mean a number of things. One,that something was interfering,and two he was gone.

  "I did not see where he went,he was here just moments ago. I heard the scream too." she said. She made her folded wings raise a little so they did not drag the floor. She did point in the direction she had saw him last."i think it was a bad idea to bring a guy in a case where only guys are missing right now.  Which direction did it sound like the scream came from? I hate empty warehouses,the sound always echos about."

Sonya cast a glance in the direction Syra pointed, looking away just as quickly only to pause and glance back with a slight frown. "Is that a light? That's a light, why is there a light in an abandoned warehouse? Lights aren't in places like this, lights are in places like buildings full of people and such." She rambled under her breath, basically talking to herself as she strode over and pushed the box aside to peer down at the panel on the floor with her head tilted to the side. "Oi, I think our boy found something just before vanishing..."

Syra looked down to where Sonya was,she wondered,what kind of creature was waiting for them.But first things first,how were they going to get it to open for them." I think you are right,but one problem,if something is beyond that he used his sonic thingamajig to get it to open. Unless you have one I think we are not getting that thing open."


She scratched her head,as she thought of a solution,and then asked Sonya,"should I try casting an illusion of me being male. Then see if it accepts my fake so we can get in."

Mal followed, quivering and scowling. She pretended to inspect the trap door before losing interest and pacing around the abandoned warehouse, head turning this way and that at the dancing shadows. She rubbed her arm with her hand in a nervous gesture as she paced about. The others were trying to get in, why would you want to do that? Well, if Theta was in there they probably shouldn't ditch him. But what if who or what ever was a murderer and they decided to waltz willingly into their hands. Her foot collided with something small that skitted a few feet in front of Mal. Her eyes watched after the spinning item and she stood hesitantly a moment before swooping down and picking it up.

"Hey! We could always use this." Mal walked back to the others and gingerly held up the sonic screwdriver in between her thumb and index finger.

Syra looked at Mal,and laughed," That probably would work the best."

She knew the girl was not comfortable with thier situation. Syra looked around,and then asked,"why do the bad guys always have to chose creepy old warehouses,it is not adding any points in their intimidation. Probably a race of creepy decrepit women."


She was trying to lighten the mood anyways,"Sonya do you know how to use Theta's sonic screwdriver."

Sonya frowned slightly as she studied the panel before shaking her head. "No, it's deadlocked. The only way to open it is to know the code. Either he found it out by accident... Or it deadlocked after he disappeared." She sighed out, leaning back on her heels as she scowled at the metal plate in front of her in frustration. She had no idea where Thet was, she had no idea how to find him and to top it all off, these two had no idea how to help her. Time Lords, no wonder there were so few of them left. They can't do anything if something is deadlocked. If their own bedroom door was deadlocked they'd grow old and die in there. Turning back to face the two behind her, she got back to her feet, dusting off the knees of her pants as she thought over what she knew. "Look, the most we can do right now is wait. I can't even sense him right now, he's gone too far."

Syra looked at Sonya,and her eyes looked angered,as she looked at the trapdoor. She was not going to lose one of her first potential friends. She was not going to miss having adventures with them,and this time if she was asked she would follow. She was tired of bad things happening to her and those around her.

"If I breathed fire on it,would that melt it enough,or could we try a combination of codes. If i have to melt the floor of this warehouse I will."she said,as she looked serious at them."if my dragon blood,can do something I will try,even if I start crying blood."

Syra knew if it came to crying blood,that was a sure sign she was going to fall in to a telepathic coma,that would last anywhere to hours to days. They had to save Theta,she knew the others felt like her. What use was the sonic screwdriver,they obviously did not want him to have it for it to be left behind. Her mind was taking in things too fast at the moment,as she put a hand on the ground. Whatever was down there had messed with the wrong group of people,and when they figured out the trapdoor,oh whatever is down there better tremble. Because one Lots of planets have a north! off female is a force to be reckoned with,but three Lots of planets have a north! off women is like the force of fiendfyre raining from the skies.

Mal stared with an offended expression at the sonic tool in her grasp. Theta made the blasted thing sound like a miracle device. Yet the Time Lord's precious 'probe' couldn't open a deadlocked door? "That's a little pitiful..." She muttered to herself before sticking the screwdriver into her pocket and looking at the other two women. At the mention of breathing fire, Mal slowly turned to stare at Syra with bewilderment. "That can't be healthy.." She didn't even bother saying 'that's not possible' since she had been proven wrong so frequently these days.

"Have you found another one 422-b?"

A man in a long white labcoat stood at a metal worktable, playing with vials of acid and a red substance that looked suspiciously like blood. On the other side of the room, a metal panel slid open. 422-b, the robot that had found Theta, hovered in, leading the Timelord.

"The lifeform had entered through the emergency exit without authorisation. Readings confirm that it is not a human"

The labcoat man turned around, abandoning his work for the moment being. He raised an eyebrow.

"Not human? Hmm..." he stepped forward, taking out a small device that looked like a PDA. He waved it in front of Theta, scanning him. Theta attempted to stay quiet, not wanting to annoy the guy, instead just looking around the room curiously. It was dome shaped, made of a shiny silver metal. Around the edges were many work tables, scattered with papers and vials of all sorts. In the very middle of the room sat a large cylinder chamber, glowing with an eerie blue light. What looked suspiciously like dried blood was on the floor around it. Theta gulped nervously, turning his eyes away and back to labcoat-guy. He was staring at him with an unreadable expression.

"Timelord...you're a Timelord" he threw the device down, stalking away, clenching his fists "damn it! I would use you for more parts, but the Shadow Proclamation would have my head for killing an endangered species..."

"Endangered species?" Theta spoke up from behind the scientist guy. Ok, labcoat-guy=bad. But he wasn't going to kill him? And what about 'endangered species'? Timelords weren't endangered. Labcoat-guy turned around, raising an eyebrow.

"Well there aren't exactly a lot of you, are there? You know, the legendary Time War?" Theta's confused look did not drop. He grinned, coming closer "Oh, you don't know, do you?" His eyes hid a malicious glint.

Sonya waved at the others to be quiet as she shut her eyes and sat cross-legged on the floor, trying to reach out to Thet's mental waves. With a deep frown of concentration, she sent out a blast of mental energy, trying to connect with him. Just as she was about to give in, she caught a faint light, with a little focus, she brought it closer and let out an audible sigh of relief. "Thet! Where are you? Last thing we know is you called out then vanished from sight!"

Syra looked at Mal,and shrugged her shoulders,"Gives a new meaning to heartburn,but Drego breathed fire hence I can also just never done it.

When Sonya asked them to be quiet she was,but grabbed her forehead as Sonya had sent out the mental energy.That would teach Syra to but up her mental blocks from now on.She shook her head,and almost spoke her mind,but stopped letting Sonya focus.

Mal blinked at Syra and didn't know whether to be concerned or amazed. That would be something to see. A real fire breather. Not one of those pretenders at the circus... though that was impressive too. Mal shifted her gaze to watch Sonya, completely oblivious to what she was doing. She opened her mouth to sarcastically mention meditation wouldn't open the door but didn't want to be the one who broke the silence. Plus, for all she knew Time Lords could mentally pry things open. Well, Mal wasn't the most experienced with alien things.

"Now you see, long ago there was the planet of Gallifrey, ruled by the Timelords, a race of aliens that could time travel. You of course, know this" The lab-coat guy pulled up two chairs, and after a thorough look over to make sure it wasn't booby-trapped, Theta sat down, as well as Mr. Labcoat. He eyed him nervously, not sure where this story was going. Labcoat continued.

"Anyways, as time went on they hoarded the right of time-travel, in order to stay the top dogs of the universe. However, one day a race from another Universe appeared, one that already grasped the basics of time-travel; the Daleks. They were said to be squid-like, though the only thing you can see of them is their robotic outer-casing, equipped with a single eye and a gun.
The Timelords didn't like this other race having time-travel, so they started a war over it; the time-war. It was filled with bloodshed, two powerful races fighting over the right to time-travel. Nobody knows what happened, but one day Gallifrey just vanished, and was never seen or heard from again. Many think that the two races had caused a big enough disturbance in time that the Universe just obliterated them. Others think that the war continues in another time, and one day Gallifrey will appear again. But one thing is for certain. The Timelords are dead"

All throughout the story, Theta's look of skepticism grew, along with a rising amount of fear for if it was real. This couldn't be true, Labcoat was just making up things...

"They're not dead. I was on Gallifrey only yesterday, though you're acting like it happened a long time ago"

Labcoat shrugged "Time is weird. Anyways, it's the truth. Use your time machine to scan for other time machines, and you'll know that I'm not lying"

Theta frowned. Well he wasn't getting any telepathic signatures from the other Timelords, but that didn't mean they were gone...right? He was probably out of range or something, if that was possible. He jolted in surprise as Sonya's telepathic message cut through his thoughts.

'telepathic activity has been detected, originating from outside the entrance' 442-b spoke up from his place at the corner of the room. Labcoat swore.

"F***! Go after them, kill any that aren't Timelords or humans, if any. Stun the rest. How many human signatures are there?"

'one and a half'

Labcoat guy was confused by the half, but nevertheless waved the robot off. If they could get only a few more humans they might finally be able to finish the repairs and get as far away as possible from this primitive planet. He turned to see Theta glaring at him.

"Don't. You. Hurt. My. Friends."

His hands were clentched at his sides, and the young Timelord wanted nothing more then to punch the guy in the face. Labcoat laughed.

"Ooh, look at the cute little Timelord, throwing a tantrum..."

What did he do? He punched him in the face. Labcoat reeled back, clutching at his now bleeding nose.

"Y-you little sh**!" he growled, his words muddled by the broken state of his nose but still intelligible.
